metallic rouge

production value seem high

character dialogue and story are incredibly boring in the first 6 episode

complete nonsense after that

only first episode feel worth watching

with a fancy looking scify city completely wasted by terrible script

Sounds like anime, alright.

it used to happen more when there are more original seasonal anime

now far more seasonal anime are adaptation so viewer know what to expect of the story long before first episode come out

recovery of an mmo junkie

but was lucky to find this refreshing show

and reignite some interest

bento

just been reminded bento exist after decade

artstyle still hold up by today standard

light novel are actually pretty dry and have far too many game console reference

but the ridiculous premise and the dead serious execution are still entertaining

Dug up my Silent Mobius manga. I loved the anime as much as the tonal whiplash and incompleteness it has. Re-reading it again and man is it so different, not dramatically different but there's a lot of shifts in it

I saw something pass about a Lord of the rings anime adaptation

Saw Éowyn had red hair and moved on

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

blue eye samurai

visual music fight scene dialogue are all pretty good

dialogue are the most surprising part

most netflix show sink by their script

Couldn't even make it through the first episode of the grimm variations. It's just... nah.

Oh yes, the new season is here. Let's see what we have:

- Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells: sounds like that PF:WotR mod

- No Longer Allowed In Another World: even Isekais are tired of isekais

- Quality Assurance in Another World: there is already an "Isekai Pharmacist", "Isekai Baker", "Jobless Isekai"... what is next, "Isekai Babysitter"? Oh, never mind.

Isekais are at least as bad as superhero multiverse storylines. I'm so sick of video games in anime. Can they do something new?

isekai web novel are impressive both in number and extremely low average quality

there are many popular sub trope inside this massive bloc over the decade

like villainess isekai that become very common few year ago

there are also many big webnovel website that have their own trend and reader preference

anyway the rabbit hole doesn't end

another dandadan trailer

almost forget one of the main character start with that hair style 160 chapter later

wouldn't last 1 episode in anime too

Too Many Losing Heroines e01

quality and detail are high even for first episode

wonder how many episode it will last

light novel was decent and the adaptation seem to have more effort put into it then most

I binge watched Bocchi the Rock! over the past 2 days. No isekai, no harem, no video games. Very nice. Also thought the visual presentation was good too.

Got no recollection how I stumbled over this one, but I'm happy that I did.

Bocchi was made by some of the same people who were behind Frieren btw

Edit: Keichiiro Saito being the overall project director for both (he used to work as an animator, but ended up being the lead producer/director on both https://www.imdb.com/name/nm9065841/

binge this one too

feel like this show would work better when watch all at once than weekly

one of the adaptation that elevate source material with effort and care

like kaiju no 8 that just finished last season

Nice, that explains a lot.

Kinda funny that apparently after the anime, the sales of Les Paul guitars spiked hard in Japan... and shortly after the 2nd hand market with resale guitars spiked. 😄 Well yeah, playing guitar is not so easy and even the anime comments on how it took our main character 3 years of playing every day to get where she is. 😄

Also watched The Rising of the Shield Hero last week. It started off not so bad, but then just developed into the same issue as all the other shows like that have. I'm really tired of this genre.
