Verde Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 (edited) Confirm. Because we all know it looks weird af. I'm currently rocking it on my Moon GL Universalist even tho it goes completely against his char. In mean, +3 slash AR on a robe...AND immunity to Per or Might afflictions? Yes please. Not to mention a few other goodies. Edited February 15, 2019 by Verde
brasilgringo Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I've been switching to it on builds where the might Afflcition immunity is needed for specific areas/encounters - like the Flesh Golems in FS... but in general I switch back to High Harbinger (for dmg) or maybe Manegra's Chain (for +Will) when not specifically needed.
Verde Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 (edited) I'm a big fan of Manegras chain too. So what type of afflictions are considered Might? Edited February 16, 2019 by Verde 1
Enoch Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 I'm currently rocking it on my Moon GL Universalist even tho it goes completely against his char. Better still to make Tekehu wear it.

So what type of afflictions are considered Might? https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Status_effects_(Deadfire) Staggered -5 Might, Cannot engage Dazed -5 Might, Cannot engage, -4 Penetration Stunned -5 Might, -4 Penetration, Stunned, -10 Deflection The Flesh Golems in FS can chain-stun you. Fighter charge ability from mobs also can stun you long enough in my experience (as a caster solo) that you can die pretty quickly before getting buffs/spells off, at least on PoTD (one place this can happen a lot is Berkana's Observatory for instance). You can use food like Shark Soup for immunity, but I was running Captain's Banquet food, so having a Might affliction immunity item was pretty helpful for certain fights and worth the trade-off giving up another robe/armor for those instances . Boeroer Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 (edited) I was using it (with its raw damage AoE on unconcious enchantment) on my Wizard's Phantom together with Shroud of the Phantasm and Effort (AoE Full Attack on unconcious like Vengeful Defeat). If you get roasted: summon 6 duplicates with low health, if they die they will wreak havoc upon my enemies. Awesome. Also tried with a SC Death Godlike Berserker + Blooded + One Stands Alone + Barbaric Retaliation + Vengeful Defeat + Effort + Mantle of the Seven Bolts. If you can decouple yourself from the feeling that going unconcious and resting is bad it's a hilarious combo: jump into a group of enemies, do HoF and get attacked a lot (but also dish out a lot) - and if you get downed even better: you simply explode and do a hell lot of damage while going down. Needs a guy/gal who revives him though - else it's rel. short-termed fun... Of course not everybody's cup of tea but I liked it. Wanted to recreate this build and guess I succeeded. Also not bad if you have people in the party who gain something if an ally goes down (and you have no summons to do that job). Edited February 16, 2019 by Boeroer Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods

baldurs_gate_2 Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 At least in my game, the might affliction immunity does not work as intented. It stops one, but the second goes through and so on. Food always prevents it. So a safer bet would be, to keep your fortitude high. Most attacks focus FORT by stun. Tayn's Orb focus Will.
Boeroer Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 Interesting. I had the Perception immunity once (for a Berserker/Beckoner with Grave Calling/Chilling Grave to prevent getting blinded all the time) and it worked like one would expect (= complete immunity). Verde Posted February 17, 2019 Author Posted February 17, 2019 (edited) On a side note, Immunity to Con afflictions is really handy on Bardatto's Luxury. I give it Eder and pepper the area with friendly Weakening/Sickening spells. Edited February 17, 2019 by Verde
