Looking For A Definitive Answer: Do Power Levels Affect Shifter Forms Or Not?

Just looking at the damage output, I get the impression that it is not the case but I may be wrong. Does anyone know for sure? Damage seems largely based on fixed damage+might.

As i know, claws do scale with power level, but you have cross some powerlevel threshold in order to get a quality boost. May be wrong.

So technically, to maximise the Shifter, you want to single class?

Ok, Test.

Race - nature godlike.

Druid/monk 

 

lvl 1 - standard claws, PL test - no result.

lvl 4 - standard claws, PL test - no result.

lvl 5 - claws - quality increase (acc +4, dmg +15%), PL test - no result.

lvl 9 - claws (acc +4, dmg +15%), PL test - no result.

lvl 10 - claws - quality increase (acc +8, dmg +30%), PL test - no result.

 

Single Druid

lvl 1 - standard claws, PL test - no result.

lvl 4 - standard claws, PL test - no result.

lvl 5 - claws - quality increase (acc +4, dmg +15%), PL test - no result.

lvl 9 - claws (acc +4, dmg +15%), PL test - no result.

lvl 10 - claws - quality increase (acc +8, dmg +30%), PL test - no result.

 

So, due this tests, claws not affected by PL at all, and get quality increase at lvl 5, 10, 15, 20 (fine, excelent, superb, legendary)

Empower your shift, should be easy enough to figure out if its got different Damage claws, or even duration.

 

I didn't see any difference when I tried Empowering Summoned Weapons (Wiz) and they are supposed to scale with Level... which apparently doesn't mean Power Level.

Well, but that tests also show another interesting thing

 

1. Summoned weapon get upgrade each 5 level.

 

2. Summoned not affected by multiclassing (for sure)

 

+ I really love test stuff.

Summons, druid Spiritshift weapons, summoned weapons and animal companions all scale with character level, NOT Power Level.

 

Monk's fists do scale with Power Level.

Not necessarily, you could end up lowering your DPS/Utility/Aoe by missing out on certain full attacks and buffs other class combos offer. Like Fighter, Monk, Barb, or Paladin.

 

I feel a melee shifter really should combo with one of the above.
