After the update “1.0.4”, whenever I go to kill an enemy, my run cycle goes from fast to walking speed and my walking speed even slower. It only fixes itself when I close out the entire game. If I don’t hit any enemies, I’m fine.

Alundra has, in my opinion, one of the best running mechanics (it is just so difficult to master though!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AisGdMqiqi4 At around 0:30. Running could be way more dynamic, out of combat, you are running from that boulder chasing you, or just running due to low health (with mortality mode on) or just running because running. Like "Drifting" in a car racing game, rounding those corners like a boss. Dynamic running animations. What say you? Good? Or as ominous as the music in the Alundra video? Not talking about a skill based running, but if you are running you'd "slide" towards the end of the location you've pressed. I'd like 2 different ones, Running (for out of combat) and Charging (for in combat). Mostly because in that way you can do more with it depending on situation.

Hi there ! This will be my first topic here and before anyone points it out, im Polish so my grammar isnt perfect for which Im very sorry. I loved the walking in both Baldur's gates. It was fast enough to not get frustrated and it really improved the whole atmosphere of being an adventurer ! The only thing about it which bothered me is that they walked in every situation: fights, sneaking past someone and so on. It would be great to see my whole party walk just through the world instead of running. Running should be made available to use only in some situations for example battle or when an event occurs for example fire in the city or collapsing cave. I know it would be hard to implement but it would improve the whole atmosphere so much more in my opinion. Important is that the walking animation shouldnt be made badass slow like in all other such titles. The npcs walk to slow as if they had all time in the world. They should march quickly and dynamic so that we players dont get frustrated. What do you think ?
