I'm playing through Pillars of Eternity for the first time (a little late to the party but alas I'm enjoying it) and I want to make sure I'm not making a game-ruining mistake here. I've decided that I'm going to side with the Crucible Knights this time through so while I was progressing "Rogue Knight" I traded Penhelm his Affidavit in return for Osric's Breastplate, only to discover that this version gives me the Quest Item Breastplate and not the equipable version. I then went to talk to Osric but there was no option for me to keep the Breastplate for myself so it seems like the only way to keep the Plate and keep Penhelm alive is to kill Osric and fail the quest. I saved and tested this, and I did get the equipable variant of the Plate but turned the entire Dozens faction hostile which led me to slaughter them all (gaining Cloudpiercer in the process) and before progressing even further I just want to make sure that this won't completely screw me over later if I wasn't planning on siding with them anyway. (Off-topic; after getting hooked on PoE I wanted to create an account for these forums only to realise that I'd actually created one back in 2013 and had completely forgotten about it. So this isn't technically my first post, but I'd consider it to be.)

I hate it. Because I'm stuck. I thought the patch might fix this, but nooooo. I have good reputation with everyone. Ally with Dommenel (tricked their goons in Dryford village, let that dealer get killed) and Dozens (did get that armor back and accepted to fetch some weapons) With Crucible Knights I have a Hero reputation (did the quest with making those golem-things, and halped the guard in Heritige Hill and 1-2 minor things) I want ot ally myself with the Crucible Knight, but I got no option to talk to with their leader. I mena...really. Why the hell does a fetch quest signify my alliance? It does not. Can I get out of this? I cna't stand the Domenels and I don't want to ally with the Dozens either. If the only solution is to start a new game, I might as well just uninstall the game while cursing like a drunk sailor!

So I understand that the various factions in Defiance Bay are at odds with each other and that choosing one will result in not being able to interact with the others. That makes sense to me, even if I messed it up in my most recent play through. However, I found that when aligning with one (the mafia-like one), I had already completed quests with both the dozens AND crucible knights. As such, the game has now locked me out of ALL factions, as I am at a "faintly good" reputation with each of them. Is this a bug or intended? I like the idea of exclusive faction quest-lines and such, but the execution here is baaaaad. It should be structured so that when you compete a quest for one of the factions, your reputation with the other factions drops considerably so that you are unable to complete any quests you currently have for the other factions but your aligned faction's quest-line stays intact. Currently I cannot do quests for any of them, and that's kind of a bummer. I hope that makes sense. Can anyone shed light on the topic for me?

Hail and well met, brave warriors! I hope everyone is enjoying their time looking for adventure, fortune and fame in the Eastern Reach of Eora! I am curious as to the Big Big City 2, attained at $3.5 million. "Baldur's Gate and Athkatla are big cities. Spanning multiple large maps with a ton of interiors, characters and quests, big cities are a lot of fun. Like strongholds, they also take a lot of work to do well. We're going to have one big city in Project Eternity. Would you like two? If you take us on an exciting adventure to $3.5 Million, we will take you on an exciting adventure to another big city." Defiance Bay is Big Big City 1. Where can I find Big Big City 2? Travel safe, and may you continue to find adventure, fortune and fame!
