  1. I downloaded those last night. First good fan made mode I've played. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Aielund Series is rather good in my opinion. Though I admit that fact that it was the first module I played that had capes on armour might have coloured my views a little, I still think it was pretty damn enjoyable. I also liked the Way of the Open Hand.
  2. Every item of clothing that I own, other than my pants and one ice-blue t-shirt, is black. But that's only because it's the only colour I really look good in. I also have this great shirt/t-shirt thing (it's like a long-sleeved shirt, but made from t-shirt fabrics) that's black, and I wear instead of a jumper whenever possible. When it's windy it flaps like a cape. Unfortunately, I only have one, so every now and then I have to wash it and so I can't wear it while it's in the mach--wait, what was I meant to be talking about, again?
  3. This was most likely a lie made up by the people of London who were resentful over having a Scot as their monarch (The English didn't much like having a King from a civilised nation " ). James I was also accused of being a pedophile, as well as having extremely bad BO. It is unlikely that George Villers was actually James I's homosexual lover. I don't see why it matters whether Homosexuality is a choice or not. What two consenting adults wish to do is no one's business but their own. It's not your business, it's not the church's business, and it certainly, unequivocally, is not the state's business. Don't like it? Then shut up and don't do it.
  4. Oh man, it was awesome. There truly was some large amount of awe. And best of all, it's on again tonight, so I might be able to watch it tomorrow. This grin :D is miniature compared to the one on my face right now.
  5. Dark Teal. #006060 ████████████████████████ ████████████████████████ ████████████████████████ I think it's a beautiful shade.
  6. I've never understood what people found funny about Little Britain. I can't think of a single time I ever laughed at a sketch. Min you, I thought the exact same of Bo Selecta and the Royle Family, so obviously people with good taste are in the distinct minority in Britain. " :darque: Chewin' the Fat was way, way, way better. Oh, and I'm tnow taking your advice about Battlestar Galactica, Flatus. I just hope the quality is up to snuff.
  7. What about Seismic Diplomacy? It starts on the usual map, but at the end of every year, players get to make changes to the map through seismic events, changing what provinces connect where and so on.
  8. For what I hear, when Dawn is finally finished, it will be available free of charge. That doesn't mean there won't be a sequel to the series that is an official premium module, though I would guess that's more likely for NWN2.
  9. Any poetry that rhymes gets my approval. I like it.
  10. Washington Post - July 21st 2005 President Chastises Rove; Rove Steals Time Machine by Jack Wilson, Washington, DC As the CIA continues its probe on whether or not Carl Rove did in fact violate the law and leak top secret identities to the press of CIA agents, some critics declare the matter a formality as documents clearly label the information top secret. Pundits wonder whether or not Bush will replace Rove, and whether or not Rove will face charges. For the time being however, the President offers merely a slap on the wrist. "Stay good Carl. Don't be evil," the President was quoted as saying. Allegedly Rove gave into his intelligence sharing ways again, this time in a much more discrete manner. Rove allegedly stole the time machine the United States "procured" from France, and travelled back to spring of 1902 to provide classified details to the then American administrator on the then future plans of European war. These tactics were the clever turning points in what was at that time rapidly escalating conflict that some predicted would mimic the hundred year war between England, France and France yet again. However, these strategic moves crippled several empires including one whose leader seemed to be very tardy in issuing orders to their military leaders. Some of the moves were very daft cunning, such as Germany's gambit of forcing a slatemate long enough in Belgium to convince other parties to focus on other countries. In the end, stole Burgundy, allowing the later crippling attack on Paris. Russia continued their ways and betrayed Italy, while also continuing their unprovoked attack on Turkey. England managed to steal Denmark and tread water for another year while the Austrian empire was official dismantled. http://img333.imageshack.us/img333/7180/topsecret6jl.gif
  11. I think it opens at the Edinburgh Film Festival, at least here in Scotland, so I'll be sure to go see it. I've never watched Firefly, but only because I've never been able to catch the first episodes, and wouldn't like watching it from the middle.
  12. You rascal! Going about and changing posts. Shame on you! "
  13. There is obviously a communication problem here. One of us isn't understanding the other, but I'm not sure who. What I'm getting here is that your trip will be two months long, as in, you will possibly not be able to get onto the internet for two months. But I don't know when this possibly two month long trip begins. So just to clear things up, could you just say again: 1. How long will your trip be? 2. When will your trip start? I know the answer to one of them is 2 months, I just don't know which, and I don't know the answer to the other.
  14. So, a 2 month holiday, max. When?
  15. A 2 month long holiday, or a holiday in 2 months? An average game would be finished in about 8 weeks with this timetable. I have a felling this one might go a little faster, but if your holiday wasn't for 2 months, at least the game could probably be finished.
  16. Wha- Holiday? When? Umm, we're doing it from Monday. HOLIDAY? As in, "I'm going away and am going to miss several turns" Holiday?
  17. Well I have my color management set to web standards and I use photshop to turn down the saturation and contrast on your maps Reveileed because Ill get a headache if spend more than a minute gawking at it this way theyre actually watchable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, what can I say? I have quite easily spent hours dealing with my maps with no problems at all.
  18. Perhaps technically. On the other hand, Mission Control just might have been using it as an informal term about him having a poor aim. A remote control camera mounted on the Lunar Rover, which was left behind. A Camera mounted on an arm that extended from the lowar part of the module. Spacesuit pressure is about 4.3 psi. Standard air pressure is what, 14 psi? Come on! What sort of question is this? If we're going to start playing politics, what about the fact that at the height of the Cold War, not a single soviet official pointed out that it is impossible to go to the moon because of supposed radiation? The PR would have been phenomenal! I'd like to see this picture, please. Which picture is this? The flag is fluttering because the flg is being held up by a crossbar across the top. It is only partially extended so as to make it look as if it is fluttering. The stars are insufficiently bright to be picked up on a camera designed to take pictures of people standing on a white surface. There is no dust under the lander, only rock, this was due to the rocket's force blowing it away. However, there is no crater because the rocket was throttled down before the eagle landed (though whether a rocket with a thrust of 10,500lbs would create a crater anyway is a matter for debate). Also, the lander did not land vertically, it skidded to a halt, so the force was in any case dissipated somewhat.
  19. When you listen to the recordings, you can hear these delays, and they do come between the control room asking a question and recieving an answer. There is no delay, however, between the Astronaut saying something, and mission control responding. This is because it is being recorded from the control room, where Control can respond instantaneously. That's silly. If Niel Armstrong was reading from a script, why did he mess up his lines? He intended to say "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind", when you listen to him say it, you can hear the beat of silence when he realises mid-sentence that he screwed it up, before he decided to finish the line anyway. That sort of mistake to me sounds like someone who definitely isn't at ease. The rocket was turned off before they landed. Yet plenty of scientists have researched it aand come to the conclusion that you can pass through the Van Allen Belts on the way to the moon and only absorb 1 rem of radiation. The film and cemeras didn't bake because the Landings all took place on Lunar mornings, when the radiation is at its lowest. Had the landings taken place at Lunar Noon, you bet the Astronauts and their film would have fried.
  20. Because of all the quotes, I'm going to split this up so it diplays right. Nice cut 'n' paste job, by the way, Ender. This is the moon's surface, which is white(ish), reflecting into the shadows, creating fill in. Moon is Reflective. Such as? The Moon is not Flat. The photos were taken on an incline. Most likely an issue of projecting a 3D surface onto a 2D image, but could you show me them? This is the result of perspective. Because distances become distorted as you get further from the camera, shadows going in the same direction appear to be going in different directions. If there was more than one light source in these pictures, objects would have more than one shadow, which we never see in the pictures. How much sound does a rocket in a vacuum make?
  21. The mirrors are arranged in a corner fashion (like an inside corner of a rectangular box, with the three reflectors on the inside of the corner). Thismeans that whatever angle your laster hits the mirror, it'll come back out at the same angle. Thus, you just have to know where on the moon to aim for (NASA would provide you with the co-ordinates of the mirror), and then you point the laser at those co ordinates on the moon, and if your laser comes back, you're aiming right. I imagine they would aim it with come sort of machanical contraption that could respond to point at the co-ordinates fed into it in the same way that large ground-based telescopes do. EDIT: Perhaps, but if you'd like to give me an example of the 'evidence' against the landing, I'd be happy to explain it for you.
  22. No, there isn't. There is no evidence that the Moon Landings did not take place. Absolutely none. All the claims made by those that propose the hoax theory can be shown to be false or unscientific. Something I remembered. It is true that we can't see the flag from Earth, but there is something. The astronauts placed mirrors on the moon. If you get the positions of those mirrors, and point a laser at them, your laser will come right back to you, proving the existence of something reflective placed at an angle and position so precise that really the only logical explanation is that someone put it there. These mirrors were used by scientists to make the recorded distance between the Earth and the moon more accurate.
  23. Well, they don't hurt my eyes. Maybe that's because I go outside once in a while. They have this thing called a sun, and that's really bright. You all should try it sometime. "
  24. Bah, I like my version better. And for Kaftan:Colour Subdued Version <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Booooooooring. "
  25. You made the name even more fitting, whats wrong with subdued, mild colours as opposed to the neon braincrushers? ..and theres no way Im playing some geometrical gaga, I want atleast a tiny sense of atmosphere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What's wrong with subdued colours? Well, they're boring, that's what. And there's no reason you couldn't create the atmosphere. Maybe the world is part of a 2-dimensional universe, and the Kingdom of Beton was recently overthrown by a Cabal of Triangles, and now a Linearist ruler named Isolin controls the Equilateral Republic of Beton with an Iron Vertex. :D
