Unlikely maybe. But from a technical point of view, co-op would be realizeable. And if there's going to be multiplayer, a rank and perk system is a given, I think.

I think it's just a matter of resources. BioWare has the manpower and EA will be willing to put money in the developement. And ME is using the Unreal Engine (like GoW), which supports multiplayer and even co-op. I don't see the problem with co-op. The host will play Sheppard and two other players can join to play the companions.

Well, ME3 MP could be as good as GoW, or as average as Bioshock 2 MP...

Sounds like Dragon Age. Sounds like The Return of the King. They did set up the third game as this very clearly. It's still pretty dumb - they keep weakening the Reapers to the point where you can fight back against them. It took the three biggest fleets in Citadel Space to bring down ONE reaper, and there are MILLIONS. If Bio nerfs them any harder it's just going to suck. Return of the King? Really? Yeah, I think there will be a Deus Ex Machina solution for the Reapers.
