  1. i found it saddening to see Master's Kavar and Zez-Kai Ell die because both seemed to have regreted the decision of exiling you and genuinely seemed pleased to have you'r return. Vrook i always hated so didnt care that he died, he deserved it for all i care lol what would have been cool would be to have Kavar the last one left after Kreia killed the other two and Exile is put into a situation where he is torn between his two masters.
  2. i've stated before i think even if your Exile is DS or LS it doesnt matter. During the game your not Jedi or Sith and therefore grey and neutral and thats how things are seen. The ability to choose LS or DS ingame i think is for player happiness only, it doesnt effect the story/plot a whole big deal what ever side you choose. Exile rejected the force and chose his own destiny which is why i think the DS Exile in the image beside Revan disappears. It was what the force had planned for the Exile, to follow Revan and fall to the darkside perhaps replacing Malak as Revans apprentice. But as the image fades away we realise this is not to be and never was because Exile chose his own destiny. So the whole tomb shows past, present and what could have been your future had you accepted it and never rejected the force. I think the tomb shows the battle of Dxun because the Mandalorian Wars started there. It was there that Exile fought his first battle of the wars the first battle of many that would leave their mark upon the Exile. Then shows Kreia as a Sith which shows inner termoil of the Exile at the present. His companions warn him about her, but she hasn't harmed him but only helped and taught him. It shows the inner turmoil and how his trust is split between loyalties to his companions and to the one person who seems to understand him, if by just a fraction. And finaly we have the Revan image, as i stated above i believe it shows what your destiny would have been had you not rejected it and chosen your own destiny.
  3. KOTOR II TSL is a good RPG story wise just the cut content would make it better, and a better ending would be the cherry on top. But hell K2 deserved the award!
  4. i noticed their personality changes, its like....Kavar was happy and relieved your alive and Zez-Kai Ell is pleased you return. But once they mix with Vrook they turn on you i think...
  5. i agree with basically all you've said, the Jedi are more good offcourse i just think in K2 they seemed abit more dark and it shed light on the fact Jedi aren't always the "pillars of society" we have come to think of them. But yes K2 seemed abit grey in areas where it needed a clear distinction in good or evil. K1 wouldn't have worked if it wasn't black and white half as well as it did, because it is meant to be black and white. You are after all playing as a more Jedi character than the Exile, who is well neither Sith or Jedi even if your light or dark. You still are classed IMO as a neutral by everyone which made it a little dull. But IMO i prefer grey over pure light or dark, because IMO Dark and Light can't work without the grey in the middle. Its like a sandwiche... light = the top grey = the filling dark = the base they dont work without one another, Kreia had seen both sides of the spectrum and chose to be neutral till her final manipulation. She knew the disadvantages of light and dark but ultimately chose the darkside to further her means and goals. But chose to train the Exile as a neutral so he would learn from her perspective of having seen both light and dark side teachings.
  6. why cant people just say SWU? its the most common abbreviation for SW galaxy related topics lol and to clarify SWU = Star Wars Universe
  7. The Jedi are for all intensive purposes the "good" guys yet they have many faults which can be considered, not really evil, but bad. One of these is their crypticness they keep and withhold information to suit their own ends in some situations. e.g - K1 they never tell Revan that she has been mind wiped. Which is understandable offcourse, but yet still wrong. Perhaps had they told Revan what had happened and helped her try to remember things then maybe with their guidance they could have located the starforge earlier. In K2 they never tell the Exile why and what happened to him at Malachor V, although they may not have had a clear picture themselves. They still knew information which could have helped save them from the Sith attacks through the force. Had they told Exile he may have been able to aid them in their fight with the Sith. Instead they keep that info to themselves and exile him. But somehow the Sith are branded as completly evil, well Jedi banish and exclude anyone who doesnt stay to their code. So the Sith started their own order and the Jedi find it to be "wrong" because it is the opposite of their own code and order. And one can argue Sith are fueled by hatred and anger which is wrong, but human and honest. When someone is angry its an honest emotion that blazes brightly for someone to see. Their motives are honest and cleanly set infront of everyone. Which is more than can be said for the Jedi who withhold information and become cryptic over issues when it suits them. Because Revan fell to the darkside doesnt make her a bad person or evil person. Infact falling could be a bigger benefit to the galaxy as a whole, as Kreia put it the Republic had become complacent unchallenged for too long. Thanks to Revan many died yes, but many grew stronger for it. The mandalorians weakened the Republic and Revan struck them when they were already fragile, but the Republic strengthened from it. People strengthened from it and the galaxy had suffered, but from suffering comes strength. What doesnt kill us only makes us stronger. I have to admit my comment above was plain and bland and as you put it mothman, hardly compelling. But it wasn't meant to be in depth or superiorly explanatory about good and evil, we all know in our minds what we think is good and what is evil. And i think that stems to the Star Wars universe too, each Jedi is individuel yet the same. All have different views on good or bad and that goes for the Sith too. Just look at Revan and Malak they felt helping people fight was good, the masters felt that it was bad. Both views were wrong yet correct, by fighting they saved more lives but also gave opportunity to fall to the darkside.
  8. thanks alot Jediphile you really helped lol :D:D:D
  9. ok say for example Jedi A is infact Jedi B's father and has kept it hidden from him for 20 years. Then Jedi B doesnt know his father or know that infact for 20 years he has known Jedi A who is his father and Jedi A has kept it hidden for some obscure Jedi cryptic reason. Now say Jedi A was infact a Sith, then Sith A told Jedi B by being evil Sith A has been honourable in releasing the truth about Jedi B's father. Who infact is Sith A lol to keep secrets hidden from someone usually causes more pain when they are found out, and they are found out eventually anyway. Where as if the truth is just told in the open there is pain, anger but it heals quicker and isn't rooted as deep.
  10. GFFA - Great F**king Furry Armidillo's
  11. (and if this has been done so what, its been done again sue me!) I have been wondering how can i play the dialogue files in K2 and where are they located in my game directory? Also if they are already on a website somewhere or anything could someone direct me to them. But i'd really like to play any and all of the dialogue files, im just looking for ones that are said in-game aswell as cut content files.
  12. Liked.... Atton - a genuine friend to your PC you can rely on aswell as being quick witted, funny HK-47 (K1&2) - psychotic droid need i say more "HK can you describe love to me" Kreia - cryptic, wise and manipulative....that just rocks in my book Jolee - cranky, wise and had funny underwear lol Mira - sarcastic, sexy and quick on the ball Mandalore/Canderous (K1&2) - hardcore reliable fighter to back you up Hanharr - psychotic wookiee rage! T3-M4 - always there to lend a hand, quite funny too when Atton talks to him Visas - loyal and reliable aswell as having that mystery behind the viel thing going lol Darth Nihilus - well damn he had the whole Sith Lord image going for him! Darth Sion - sleeps with vibroblades so he rocks Master Kavar - he just seemed cool to me, like a Mace Windu thing going... Darth Malak - he had cool written all over him Calo Nord - weird bounty hunter but he looked the part Atris - for all her stuck up ways she fitted the "anti war" Jedi image for me Disliked Carth - a whiney bitch with alot of issues, guess what life DOES SUCK so get over it! Mission - dunno why she was there, she was useless... Bao Dur - useless and weakest party member, also has no testicles obviously Juhani - just didn't like her, dunno why just felt she was pointless, always killed her GOTO - basically i didnt need this droid even though his voice was spooky Bastilla - great character just her voice annoyed me, and her pixle features were ugly Brianna - omg just did not like her, too goody goody and she had a awful haircut Zaalbar - annoying wookiee and didn't do anything for me
  13. when you speak to Kavar in the cantina on Onderon he says something about him being your old master i think, not totally certain. My theory is that Exile was taught by Atris as a youngling till 13 perhaps then Kavar took him as a padawan, then in say 4 years Exile joines Revan and Malak. And on the brink of knighthood he forsakes the Jedi and this could explain why Atris and the Masters are so mad at him because he forsaked the Jedi Order when he could have made something out of it. As for Vrook's opinion on Exile it fits his character, Vrook is never happy with anything anyone does. He would class Exile as mediocre because perhaps Exile is a strong force user and skilled with a lightsabre but his other traits aren't very Jedi like. As is stated earlier or later in that dialogue piece he had a heated argument with another pupil, thats not very Jedi like now is it?. So to Vrook perhaps its Exile's attitude and personality which is what makes him "mediocre". I always think of Exile when he joined the war like Anakin did joining the clone wars, a young headstrong man with an affinity to the force. On the verge of becoming a Knight but the process is halted because of the war. Who knows perhaps Revan placed the rank of Jedi Knight upon Exile, considering she herself was a Knight.
  14. The force creates ones destiny, perhaps upon choises we make in life, but none the less the force guides and chooses our destiny for us. Which is what happened to Revan she was a Jedi, then turned into a Sith Lord then was forcebly turned back into a Jedi. Now one could argue that the mind swipe was the will of the force or it could be an unseen move the force didn't consider when Revans destiny was chosen. So when Revan finaly defeats Malak and heads into the unknown to find the "true" Sith its the will of the force that sends her there. Either to fall back to the darkside or to begin her war with the "true" Sith. IMO i always believed Revan to go into the unknown and Exile would find her and see she had fallen back to the darkside and is this "true" Sith threat Kreia mentioned. That phrase "True Sith" could be a play on words, we all know of Marka Ragnos and the other pink skinned Sith but perhaps it doesn't mean them as the "true" Sith. But means "true" as in revealed and the revelation is Revan is the True Sith Lord that will bring about a great war to the Republic, to the galaxy. I think Revan knows she is destined to be a Sith Lord, to be darkside, and thats why she brings no one she loves. Because she loves them she warns them while she can. And i think we will find Exile will fall to the darkside and everyone will think he has betrayed them. When infact he falls to save them, he knows perhaps the only way to face his decisions and fears over Malachor V will be to face them. Which ultimately means falling to the darkside and as someone said before i think Exile we kill Revan and wear the Nihilus mask. Or atleast look at it in some sort of cutscene where a de'ja vu will come upon the Exile and he will realise he has become a Sith Lord like the one who tried to kill him.
  15. The Jedi are GOOD just as the Sith are EVIL, both factions have similiarities but yet are completly opposite. Jedi protect the weak and in doing so weaken themseves. Sith kill the bottom of their hiarchy (the weak) the ones at the top are vulnerable as all eyes turn to them. And thus the Sith Empire begins to crumble thanks to internal conflicts and civil wars. A Jedi's belief in pacifism and tolerance weakens them, or atleast leaves them open to attack from a enemy. I think HK-47 explains it best something like "if a Jedi's friends are in danger they will do everything to help them". Whatever decision the Jedi or Sith make they tend to leave one door open while another closes. K1&2 the Jedi decisions showed this as did the Sith's. Kreia was right to be neutral was right by telling you not to give credits to a refugee who gets mugged. By helping him you've caused him two pains, physical and emotional, being beaten up and the fact what little happiness he had was ripped from his fingers. Had the Exile done nothing the refugee would be unhappy with his life but he wouldn't have gone through the extra pain he goes through when credits are given. I admit the Jedi are my preferance to the Sith but when you look at it from a non-bias view they both are pretty similar. Even if intentions are honourable or otherwise the consequences can be disasterous. Just look at the Exile he initiated the Mass Shadow Generator with the intention of defeating the Mandalorians at Malachor V and ending the war. But from a honourable decision he nearlly caused Genocide, aswell as destroying and killing Republic forces and Jedi. Aswell as destroying the planet itself it was also a spark for other Jedi to join Revan perhaps, aswell as damaging and destroying ships and soldiers. Who could have been eventually brought into the Jedi Civil War to help the Republic.
  16. they're both the same practically.... or was i playing a different game?
  17. The Sith kill the weak and the Jedi protect them, in protecting the weak you only weaken yourself. The weak will always need protecting which costs resources, time and lives which in the end weaken their protectors. Atleast the Sith are simple they route out weakness and in doing so weaken themselves because unless the Sith have a common enemy or goal. They will undoubtedly turn on one another. Jedi and Sith are the same no matter their differences they always link back to each other. And when you think of it the first "sith" were a species a people, now they are an ideal using the same name. Dark Jedi that call themselves Sith are Jedi, the sith are dead whats left is an ideal using that name. So Jedi and Sith are the same, the flaws in the Jedi teachings are what caused the small faction of dark jedi like Ajunta Pall etc to form their own order. The Sith Order.
  18. i should have expanded a little better, i meant more the Jedi way of life than the Jedi Order itself. A Jedi's life of sacrafice etc isn't the life suited for the Exile and i think he should realise this. His life is that of an Exile because he chose his fate, his destiny unlike everyone else.
  19. Jedi and Sith are both as evil and good as one another each have a weakness and a strength in areas. Revan and the Exile are two unlucky force users caught up between either side in times of conflict, especially Exile who in my mind is more grey neutral than light or dark. Revan was midn raped by the council in an act of desperation, they needed information and didn't have the months or years it may take to turn her to the light to get co-operation. Where as Exile it was pure arroganse and fear the Jedi never listened they refused to and in the end it was their undoing.
  20. the force as Kreia explained decides our destiny upon events we do, but the Exile broke this way of life. He chose his path himself. What the tomb shows IMO is what MIGHT have happened had he followed Revan after the war. But then perhaps shows what would have happened after he chose to follow Revan hence why you two fight. sort of, heres what would have happened had you let the force choose your destiny, then heres the result of such a choice. Like Kreia tries to explain the smallest of actions can have the biggest of results in a good or bad way. But the Exile chose his destiny and so what the force may have had planned for him didn't happen. There for a different set of events transpired. Who knows maybe if Exile joined Revan he would have taken Malaks place or even Revans and the Jedi wouldnt be able to mind wipe Revan and things would transpire differently. Exile is the only person to have chosen their destiny themselves without influence and IMO thats what the tomb shows. The destiny that WOULD have happened had the force chosen it for him.
  21. in KOTOR3 i want to see Revan and Exile put into perspective, i mean we need a sort of big reuinion with a shock to it. A sort of small chat between them perhaps over Malachor V and what it caused for both of them. As the destruction of that planet shaped destinies for not just those two but the entire galaxy. Bout time the Exile came to terms with the Jedi Order and realised he is no longer welcome there. It would be good to see him become a Kreia type neutral with a different perspective on things, on the galaxy when compared to the rest.
  22. they were doing it but before it worked Kreia halted the process. And perhaps the aspect of such a draining just exhausted the Exile he fell unconcious then woke to find he was ok.
  23. i always thought of it as showing what could have come to pass had Exile not turned away from war. When the darkside you vanishes and leaves your PC Exile it shows that an alliance between you and Revan would never have worked. You would have been destined to do battle, the Sith dont allow powerful allies to last long as they soon turn to be powerful enemies. "An Alliance of hatred is a fragile alliance at best" - Kreia (it may be wrong if so forgive me lol :D) And Exile is powerful, he has the same power as Nihilus and that beats anything Revan has. To destroy planets with a mere thought is far more destructive and deadly than any machine.
  24. i can see what you mean, but i truly believe it shows how they feared the Exile and what he may do for the Jedi in the future. Perhaps they thought that he might become like the Sith Lord Darth Nihilus attacking through the force should he turn darkside. But i think it was more arrogance, fear and ignorance they never listened they never tried to they just saw themselves as the wise ones who never went to war. Unlike the Exile who they condemned because he answered the call of war alongside Revan and Malak. In truth i think perhaps they are bitter that they know the Jedi teachings are flawed and have failed. But cannot admit to this failure as it would make the very philosophies and ideals of the Jedi change. And so they refuse to listen and... "You refuse to hear us. You have shut us out, and so have shut yourself to the galaxy." ...twists around and can be used for the Jedi themselves not the Exile.
  25. i think in KOTOR3 we will find out Revan is the true sith, rather like palpatine was the true sith lord. Revan will be the true sith, the true threat all along and she knew this thats why she prepared the Republic. At heart she was a Jedi, a Republic supporter but she knew like a drug the darkside was always stronger and she couldn't resist its call. In the tomb when you confront Revan i thought it was like the cave in ESB where luke confronts hsi fear. His fear he will turn into what he hates most, or fears the most. Or also perhaps it shows what is the greatest fear of all, and in Exile's case facing Revan in combat. Perhaps thats why he didnt join the Jedi Civil War on either side because he feared he would have to face Revan.
