Avernums are hackfests. ^_^ I don't know who made you think they'd be anything else, but tell him I called him stupid. Anyways, nwo that's that settled, you really should try the previous Avernum games. Second and third are universally viewed was the best of the swries and Nethergate isn't bad either. Both games are combat-oriented and eventually you will be just shooting the heftiest spell on you arsenal fight after fight, but at least they are enjoyable. Fourth is not.

K, I understand where they are coming from with that. Frankly, I didn't buy Winter Assault at all, because I wanted the tpice to drop from 44 euros to more manageable level. Maybe if I wait a year or more I can buy both expansions with the price of one full game. ^_^

Ok... Syberia and Amerzone were very nice and the concept art is breathtaking. The genre is at it's deaththroes financially, so I hope Paradise succeeds. I'm gonna play the demo and make my decision then.

I'm interested, very interested. MY C&C-run stopped at Red Alert 2 and I never played TS's expansin, but every C&C-game has been a quality game. It's just that...well, they ain't always good. I'm more interested on the new Dawn of War expansion though. Tyranids and Necrons :cool:
