  1. I broke and bought both Dreamfall and AVP 2. And I have only the weekend to play them.
  2. I don't like the plot all that much, it's farily straightforward and not at all suprising, and that goes for both games. On the other hand, I was never really woved by an FPS story(unless you count Thief: Dark Project) and Halo gets back in ambience what it loses in story. Co-op is the mother and father of blasty-blast. We played Halo 1 like two years straight, trying to do everything possible inside the game. Which wasn't a whole lot, but "rocket ghost"(rockets+invisibility+rat race+one on one slayer) was very nifty. When the sequel game, we bought it the moment it hit the stores and played like 9 hours straight. Gravemind is still an awesome level. Even on Mythic-difficulty. Ah, the scarab. I remember getting stepped on when the thing walked over the characters near the last engagement. Good times, good times. Last time I was so fed up with the whole thing I took a ghost and drive it on top of the thing, while it was moving. :D

It has suddenly become very cold and damp here. We lost that continental, almost tropical weathermass and it's quickly starting to feel like autumn here. How about you guys?
  4. Arrggh, ****ing aikuisrokkib
  5. Dance Dance Gabriel Ultramix?! Sorry, I had to. Concerning FMV, C&C has always been a hallmark. Both in bad acting and quality of FMV. Emperor: Battle for Dune had great FMVs too and deserves a mention. What I'm going on with this is that Westwood has always been the king of videos, no matter how dubious a title that is. When Westwood kicked the bucket, FMVs died for me. Consequently, that was also the time when everyone went to in-game cinematics and once done in-engine.
  6. Woah, PS3 has some great graphics, it sure does.
  7. I thought it was a hoax, knowing Don Jags. Well, this is all kinds of awesome. I would have preferred Dark Sun setting, since I haven't played any games in that, but Planescape is just dandy.
  8. Good argument, except that in Halo 2 on the hardest difficulty level, if either of you dies the game reloads from the last checkpoint. It's immensely hard at first, but soon you learn to love what it does to the difficulty. Of course the hardest difficulty adds a whole bunch of enemies and makes them harder. Really, Halo games should be played in multiplayer, don't even pretend to show any kind of degrading argument(this isn't pointed to you Allan) if you haven't blasted your way through with a good friend and then went over the best points again later on, when the adreline rush has left you. Halo gave me the same kind of insane glee that Goldeneye had, that freakin' Dynabomber had the first time. It's the feeling of finding something new and enjoing it immensely.
  9. I just scribble some long curved lines fast, it usually results in something resembling what normal people call signature. It's a load of crap to think that how you write your signature actually matters.
  10. I doubt you were taught pointillism, but it's still art.
  11. If you live in the freaking Ostrobotnia or Lapland, it is. Unless you count suicides as crime. But down here, it's pretty much like any European cityside.
  12. I don't know, I'd settle for a bike that doesn't get stolen after two weeks.
  13. Yeah, wasn't this an art thread?
  14. The difference is that Hades hates the church.
  15. *applaudes* Done before, but damn funny.
  16. Battle metal? Gah. Poor righteous teachers - Lick shots
  17. They are. Believe me. Bathory - Under the runes
  18. Star Ocean: Till the end of time is also fairly good.
  19. Bathory - Blood and iron
  20. I agree, it was beautiful. I expect it also to be a pipe. I got the distinct feeling of running on a traintrack. Well, that's not exactly a bad thing, if the thing is cinematic enough and has a good story to keep you occupied enough to not notice the darned world limits, but after Dragon Quest 8 and other fairly open jrpgs, that kind of thing would seriously hinder enjoyment. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I want to lead the adventure, not be lead by the adventure.
  21. Yeah, my "contributions" aren't really worth much nowadays.* Now wonder you don't notice me without a smarmy avatar. *Were they ever? Thanks guys, Eruman made a contribution worth it's weight in gold. Which is like...4,21 bytes? Sorry man. I'll try it down for size, although that "jolly good!"-one is kind of tempting.
