  4. This my friend, is just the basis for common Neuroses, you dont need a degree in Abnormal Psychology, as it would imply, in classical Freudian terms schizophreny and Psychiatry , whereas neuroses, where what you asserted is just the norm, involves the fields of Psychology. Dont worry, people mulling over pre conceived things and then acting upon these pre conceptions is the basis of most normal behavior and to out it succinctly, could be easily transpolated into the eternal hashtag of #firstworldproblems if you want to be funny about it XD People on survival societies or at the lower end of the economic spectrum tend to have stress generating worries that border on affordability of food, shelter and well being of off-spring. Worry not then, for what you just wrote against is "normal" XD Cheers!
  5. Magic Users first and Divine Magic users second, magic alone is what gives settings IMHO their own twist of creativity.
  6. I know this might sound strange to some, but I would love to see some actual cultural positive latinamerican tropes. Being from a far away place and being exposed constantly to classical english fantasy tropes I must say theres a lot of RL white european tropes mixed in there. If this game wants to portray realistic societies and NPCS, I think they all need to stay away from white european knights, scholarly asian based cultures and dark skinned foreign "arabic" themes ... In Latinamerica alone there are neighbouring countries that not only do not even remotely speak the same language sometimes, even when both speak spanish, but every 100km there are such contrasts in customs , even within the same country that you could literally be in another. I for once , following this trend, would be a local machete wielding medicine man (called Mojan where I am from) that deals with polymorphing techniques into several trees, animals and even rocks to deal with unfriendly medicine men, spirits and angry enemy tribes as I drink rum and smoke tobacco to appease my Patron and ask for more powers. I would go at the forefront of incursions into enemy lands to steal cattle and women shielding my apprentices and protecting the sneaky shadowbound warriors ( that could be another class or npc on their own that use bow and arrows to kill silently, and they are actual units in our real life military in Venezuela that work alone or in packs defending our jungle heavy borders with Brasil and Colombia, mostly targetting drug lord armies and para military armies of no known allegiance) Theres so much stuff to take away from Latinamerica in terms of fully fleshed magical and earthly NPCS. Would love to see a bigger influence in modern games, thats all Cheers!
  7. I believe religion in traditional RPGs has been handed lazily as another poster explained too many times in the same way. It would be ideal here for devs to expand upon it in new innovative ways. There should be perhaps full fledged quest arc paths per faith and even add variables for instance, like gender, race, even time of the day. They could extrapolate items of faith to work differently for certain worshippers, even add a small bit of personal detail to sprites if you will, but there REALLY needs to be something innovative thrown in to make this game stand apart. I remember in BG2 there were several community patches that tried to alter religion to play a bigger role, some ideas like those could be used here
  8. I believe we all need to wait for the final product to be delivered. Any kind of speculation on our part will just be that, mere speculation. Unlike you OP, I actually believe the game will be good, simply by the mere fact it will not be vaporware, that alone, eases my fears. I believe we better let it roll out first and then the devs will enhance it once they have a solid core to expand upon, its just too early to begin nitpicking on an unreleased product, I am a bit jaded of the hype, overhype, doom and gloom of say, Star Citizen to begin worrying here. Relax, take a deep breath and wait. XD
