  1. Slowest space chase in the history of cinema. Seriously, I'm thinking they're not going to have Finn and Rose go to another planet, pick up some guy, come back and the Rebels haven't been caught. And the First Order's ships / fleet is still crawling after them? Yep, that's what happened.
  2. Watched all episodes of Lost in Space. It was okay but generally was put off with too much dumb decisions being made by the characters.
  3. Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle. Had low expectations and found it surprisingly good.
  4. Life (2017). What started out as a good movie went downhill fast. Saw the ending a mile away.
  5. Do they really expect a single guard to take on an unknown number of assailants with an unknown quantity of unknown weapons with no knowledge of what's going on? Robocop might be able to of course, but he ain't available. And calls for arming teachers. If you are a teacher and arm yourself you had better be prepared to use it on the gunman, even seek out the gunman because sure as the sun will rise, your actions will be be the subject of debate in the public arena.
  6. Not weird at all. Alita looks like she does in the manga. You mean just as she does in a medium that employs a consistent art style, which is also in-line with the design language of that medium in general. Alita has been remarked in the manga about her eyes by other characters (and her octopus lips which they've left out of the movie). Maybe the other characters in the manga don't know Alita is in the manga and that she's in a medium that employs a consistent art style, which is also in-line with the design language of that medium in general?
  7. I'm guessing the first of a trilogy. Oceans 9 and 10 will come later if the first movie is sucessful. And we already have Oceans 11, 12 and 13.
  8. The Last Jedi. Thought it was ok but nothing special. Some things I found odd... I felt I've seen all this before. There's probably more but these are off the top of my head.
  9. Alita looks fantastic. Just like the manga. Not weird at all. Alita looks like she does in the manga.
  10. You've just reinvented the signs and nutrition labels. You're suggesting trigger warnings are the same as nutrition labels?
  11. It's obvious we need trigger warnings on everything including food, water, everything you see in a supermarket, escalators, elevators, sporting events, participation medals, etc. Because one person may have had a bad experience with a mars bar and we need to protect everyone and give them an informed decision on whether they should participate in everything we do in life.
  12. If Trump is losing support, are the democrats gaining support? If the democrats aren't gaining support, then it should be food for thought in dem circles as to why they aren't gaining support.
  13. I'm waiting for all the episodes to come out and then I'll binge watch it. From what I'm hearing, some of the episodes have been either average or good.
  14. American Vandal. It's both gripping, hilarious and full of surpirses. Not laughing all the time but watching with a big grin on my face. This is a great series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3tkFOtM6go
  15. With exercise, I found the best way was to join a fitness group, surround myself with positive people that encouraged and inspired me to push myself into things I never thought I could accomplish. I was fortunate enough to join a group who train people from the obese to marathon runners. Only 4 months ago, I started running and a coach who is part of team Under Armour Australia who taught me how to run properly. So far this year, these are the events I've completed or will complete. And this is from someone who had never run more than a couple of kilometres in my life.
  16. Wonder Woman. Awesome. Love Gal Gadot and always liked her as WW.
  17. Catching up and binge watched a few seasons over the last few weeks. Black Sails Season 4. Enjoyed the ending and I think they ran out of ideas. Good they stopped and didn't milk it. Continent 7 Antarctica. Amazing documentary series. Grimm Season 6. Loved the ending. No more Grimm. The 100 Season 4. Quite ridiculous at times for some viewers but I enjoy it. I don't care about the science or plot holes. The Blacklist Season 4. The Blacklist Redemption. Cancelled after one season and should only be one season imo. I liked it for what it was. The Expanse Season 2. The Magicians Season 2. Now I'm catching up on the DC universe. Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. And will watch Gotham as well.
  18. Found out Stephen Furst has died. Farewell to the moonfaced assasin of joy!
  19. Finished buying all my stuff for next weekend's 24hr endurance obstacle race - True Grit. You have to be self sufficient with your stuff in a pit area with the other competitors. Have my marquee, stretcher bed, table, chair, portable stove, food, race nutrition, wetsuit, etc. It's a 10.8 km (6.7 mile) loop with 30 obstacles and you have to see how many laps you can do in 24hrs. There's solo and team events and I'm doing it solo. Last years solo winner did 14 laps and is aiming to do 15 this year. This is my first time at it and I'm told the cold is the worst part being in the middle of winter and that water is going to feel like ice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b_R6pI83P8
  20. Babylon 5 is just pure awesome and has set the bar so high that no other sci-fi show has come near it.
  21. Feeling good with training 6 days a week when I take on the Kokoda Trail in July. Been doing half marathons over the last couple of months. Registered for my first full marathon which will be the Australian Outback Marathon at the end of July. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BiO6LA8CWI Also signed up today to do the 4 day 4 stage Larapinta Run in the Northern Territory in August. Race, accommodation, airfares booked and paid for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkG9mmiYFAg
