  1. This is probably the funniest summary of a season of a tv show I've come across. Warning: Language. They do get quite heated halfway through. But it's totally worth it seeing them innocent and hopeful at the start and then they go full nerd rage when each episode drops.
  2. Babylon 5 had one of the best endings of a TV series.
  3. Kathleen Kennedy has now confirmed in an interview with MTV reporter Josh Horowitz that Palpatine was coming back at the very beginning when they were looking at Episode 7. So it does seem more likely now that the twitter post is even more accurate.
  4. I found this interesting. Star Wars Episode 7. The Rise of Skywalker. The Emperor Lives. tweeted back in 2012. What? Sounds like Episode 9 should have been Episode 7. It would make more sense following Return of the Jedi imo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlvxnJuq7KI&t=620s
  5. I've always said even before Trump got into power that it would be entertaining if he was President and he hasn't disappointed. I couldn't believe the meme that Trump tweeted out. I did a double take. I thought this was absolutely hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nbwQ0BOvAI&t=0s On a serious note about Biden. I have to wonder why he hasn't been arrested. I didn't know this video had been out for two years and only watched it last week. I've only watched it once and it made me sick. I stopped it halfway through and felt physically ill. I did manage to watch it to the end but seriously, why didn't the police get involved and investigate this when this was put on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ-YjGmpO4Q
  6. Game of Thrones S1-S7. I'd already seen this but my partner wanted to watch it because one of her friends was watching it. I took a different approach with watching this instead of getting asked a million questions about who, what, where, why etc. Before watching the first episode, one of the things I did was to print off the maps of Westeros and Essos. With a highlighter, marked out the different territories for each house and numbered them. I then said to my partner, write these names down for each house and gave her all the names of the major characters - Lord, Lady, uncles, aunts and their children. I also told her who Jon Snow is and who his father and mother were and how they're related to different characters. She doesn't care for spoilers and prefers to know instead of being surprised. Once we had all this worked out we watched the first episode. It took about three hours to get through the first episode including all the prep before hand. A lot of pausing and questions being asked, who is this? Who's that? This wasn't very reassuring for me. I think it was around the middle of the first season that it all sort of gelled for her. I'm surprised we got through all seven seasons so quickly.
  7. I thought this was pretty funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tqzSqXUmEE
  8. I don't read/listen to reviewers. I watch movies that pique my interest regardless if it looks good or bad or whatever score it gets. If it doesn't interest me at all, I'll pass on it even if it's received glowing reviews from critics and audiences.
  9. Not that I liked the Solo movie and I've mostly erased the movie from my mind. However, I came across this and it shows just how bad the colour grading was. Fan project from some random guy. While there is some over saturation in parts, I had forgotten how bad the original movie was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNkdfNXV_Lo
  10. Alita: Battle Angel. Thought it was great. But then I'm biased as I've been reading the manga when it first came out in the early 90s, have the anime on dvd and a couple of original statues. It's been my favourite manga and in my top five comic series of all time. The box office earnings look terrible and I'd say it's failed domestically in the U.S. The foreign box office would be the only thing that could save this but even then I think they'd be lucky to break even. James Cameron said he wanted to do three movies. I'm not hopeful for a sequel let alone three movies in all which I find to be such a disappointment.
  11. The Wandering Earth. Really enjoyed this and thought it was amazing. Interesting concepts and story. Also liked how all countries were in to help and not one country saving the world. Thought the visual effects were awesome considering the film had a budget of 50 million. It's made over 500 million in less than two weeks in China with a limited release elsewhere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLcghUzzQCg
  12. I didn't have an interest in this film but now I'm quite intrigued and want to see it. https://youtu.be/QfomV9GrL6c https://youtu.be/PdY-1u-rk_M
  13. Titans. Great first episode. As a fan of the original comics, this was pretty good.
  14. I did enjoy it but yes, I found them selling the dinosaurs for such a low price funny. Also expecting the next movie to be set 5 years from now and Blue is the leader of the dinosaurs living amongst the trees and has gained the ability to talk... the T-rex just sits around like a big orange orangutan....
  15. Never underestimate the stupidity of Hollywood writers and the public who would eat this up.
  16. Jurrassic World Fallen KIngdom. The ending reminds me a lot like
  17. I'd like to watch the latest Season of Killjoys but I started watching the last episode of the previous Season to get back into it and can't remember what the hell is going on. Even jumping back a few episodes and vaguely remember stuff. Looks like I have to watch the entire season again.
  18. Anyway, I'm off to a vigorous thoughts and prayers session after this shooting. Sending thought and prayers are bound to work sooner or later, right?
  19. Just wanted to see what your position was. Every situation is different. Nice bait and switch.
  20. So you guys don't care about who portrays who in a movie. Regardless of gender, race and its source material?
  21. Been watching a few movies with a common theme to the movie Cube which I thought was great, with a group of people finding themselves together, usually in a room. They were mostly average and the imdb scores are probably a little more than what I would rate them. Overall, average entertainment that doesn't come close to Cube. House of 9 (2005) Nine strangers, with no apparent connection between them are abducted: drugged, kidnapped and sealed in a house together. Unknown (2006) Five men wake up in a locked-down warehouse with no memory of who they are. They are forced to figure out who is good and who is bad to stay alive. La habitación de Fermat (2007) (Fermat's Room) Four mathematicians who do not know each other are invited by a mysterious host on the pretext of resolving a great enigma. The room in which they find themselves turns out to be a shrinking room that will crush them if they do not discover in time what connects them all and why someone might wish to murder them. Breathing Room (2008) Thrown naked into a desolate room with thirteen strangers, Tonya discovers that she is the final contestant in a deadly game. Restrained by lethal electronic collars, the players must utilize hints and tools from a box marked "pieces" to find both an exit and the reason for their abduction. Exam (2009) Eight candidates for a highly desirable corporate job are locked together in an exam room and given a final test with just one question. It seems simple yet confusing that soon, tensions begin to unravel. Hunger (2009) Five strangers awaken to find themselves trapped in an underground dungeon. They soon realize they are the subjects of one man's sadistic experiment to test the depths of a human being's will to survive. As the days go by with no means of escape, their hunger increases as their humanity fades away. The Killing Room (2009) Four individuals sign up for a psychological research study only to discover that they are now subjects of a brutal, classified government program. Nine Dead (2010) Nine strangers are kidnapped and forced to figure out the connection they have to each other as one has to die every ten minutes. Elevator (2011) Racism collides with corporate greed when nine strangers - one of whom has a bomb - become trapped in a Wall Street elevator. Panic Button (2011) Jo, Max, Gwen and Dave win the competition. Then they head off on an all expenses paid trip to New York, courtesy of the social network. As they board the private jet, they are asked to relinquish their mobile phones and take part in the in-flight entertainment - a new online gaming experience.
  22. Problem with The Walking Dead is that they sort of have to follow the comic. There's quite a few changes from comic with different characters but the story is mostly there. My main problem with TWD is that they made great characters in the comic totally unlikable in the TV Series and when they killed them off, I just didn't care about them. Fear the Walking Dead is all original stories and the writers can pretty much do whatever they like and I much prefer it.
