I love this picture. I was at my wife's brother's wedding and I was doped up on some serious alergy medicine... and still suffering from alergies... when she took my picture. Ugh. Still, I think it's funny as hell that they use me as the NO! image for the board. OOPS. Here's the image: http://www.gamertalk.biz/img/no.jpg

Dammit, Teatime, quit telling folks to give you a low rate. Tell them, "hell yes, I want a good rating, so rate me high!" I have a picture of myself around somewhere but my pic is actually used mostly to scare the members at Winterwind. I'll post the pic when I can find it. it's funny.

...And the day is done. What have we learned from this little episode in the life of a message board? Why, that real men can care and can hurt. We should always love our neighbor, unless we're at Missy's, in which case we should try to love as many neighbors as possible.

...And the other half are ugly. Hey, I'm ugly and malformed myself. Maybe I'm looking for something similar in a woman.

You know, if you don't go to the chatter zone or the (so-called) serious stuff, Missy's isn't really like that. Go to the gaming fora and you'll find the conversation is mostly about... games. That's right, games. If you have a board with a number of fora on it, you'd think that most of the fora match the description. There's an abundance of off topic areas. There are the alleged serious political and scientific fora where folks pretend that they're discussing things in a mature and intelligent manner. (well, I don't know how many folks even try to carry on the pretense of mature there) There's a tech forum, where folks talk about tech. There is a role playing forum. There are different types of gaming fora. It just sounds like you need to scroll down the page a tad.

Don't force me to play a jedi
Cantousent replied to triCritical's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not only were you refused the option of playing different races in Fallout 1 or 2, you didn't even get to choose a different background. You were from the vault in 1 and the village in 2. Fallout was a great game without the sort of options were discussing here. Something better than options is a story that doesn't make us cringe because it's so disjointed at every step. Tight story with a good number of options trumps a lacklustre story with a plethora of options. -
Well, if it ever does go back up, I'll go poke around at Missy's again for a bit. The general gaming and RPG fora were actually active with a lot of threads, responses, and balanced critiques. Missy's can have serious conversations about gaming also. That's really all I ever want to discuss online anyhow.

HAHAHAHA That one was funny.

What is there to keep us here? harsh

And all shall be well. Maybe even all manner all things shall be well.

Hey, I like :huggles: Can't get enough of them. The good news, however, is that you DAC will still be around. Personally, I only come here and to WW, but that's just because there's only so much time in the day.

lol, Magena. No kidding. What are RPG losers to do? It's a pain, I guess.

Wow, now I really do feel like a thirty-something with bleak prospects. Really, I have to say that it sure beat the three years I spent on Guam. ugh.

Oh, Classical Studies is what I wisely used the governments money to study. I was there during the Olympics. I was there before and after. I can honestly say that the vast, vast majority of Koreans I met were great folks. The only scrapes I had in Korea were with fellow Americans. Of course, the majority of Americans were 18 years old. Ugh, don't mix teenagers with liquor.
-
Hey, I was stationed in Korea for a couple of years. Great place. I was down in Chinhae and up at Seoul. I was up and down the damned place. I remember thinking my time was up while taking a mountain road over to Busan. Damn, that must have been 15 years ago. It was all worth it, though. Uncle Sam put out for some of my college education. Who says no one cares about Greek and Latin literature anymore? B)

So, are all you refugees going to exercise your right of return when Missy's re-opens? That is to say, will we lose the comfort of your presence in the end?
-
Gorth, I thought you were from someplace in Europe. You're from New Zealand?

Hey, someone has to be unemployed around here. For the record, though, I'm a kept man. I just thought it might be novel to buy a gift for my shuga momma using money that wasn't hers to begin with. heh heh heh. Wow, I didn't even think I'd been all that rude to you buns. Talk about needing a therapist. Luckily, I'm a bum with bleak prospects. I guess that depends on what you consider "prospects." After all, my wife and I own the house in which we live, drive nice cars, are well educated, etc. etc. etc. Hey, life in Southern California is bleak and unwelcoming. Anyhow, I tell you what, if it helps you to get out your agressions on a poor college kid like myself, go for it.

Hey, there's plenty of good will to go around. I'd probably hang out at AC every now and then, but these message boards are just too time consuming as it is. One more just isn't in the cards. AC's a good enough place.

No, I see the persona thing as someone who posts in some sort of distinctive accent or some such. The only one that irritates me is Sarge. ...And, hell, even his doesn't bother me that much. Really, as long as I understand what the other guy is saying, I'm okay with it.
-
To be fair, I do find some of the styles here interesting. ...But I also find them fatiguing. When someone develops a role and sticks with it, you're always dealing with a role. On the other hand, no one can claim that they are the exact person online that they are in real life. I don't know what any of this has to do with the now defunct Interplay boards, but I like your comedian "persona" Jackalmonkey.

Never have I been happier that I asked a question. lol

Hey, I was never angry with you, taks. I'm sensitive enough to know that I cannot judge my fellow man. I must learn to empathize with him and understand his feelings. As for the ILG, I say our first course of action is to steal the Jefferson source code. Yes, YESH Bwahahahahaha
