  1. PC/Steam I was playing in my multiplayer world, but my friends was unable to join my game (after having previously played in it using exactly the same set-up). I tried to restart my game, since this had always previously fixed the problem, but this time I got the "Connected Xbox Network Account Required" pop-up. I have restarted the game, steam, and my computer, logged out and back into steam, xbox network in a browser, and re-installed and logged out and back into the xbox app, hit F1 multiple times from the menu (spinning circle for a couple of seconds, but no prompt) and then waited overnight, but still the same issue is happening. Having my friends be randomly kicked while playing was annoying, but being hard stopped from playing at all is much worse.
  2. What about the abilities selected per level? The only thing that looks like it might count is "BaseMaxPowerPoolByPowerLevel", but I can't figure out the format, since it seems to just go up by one per power level (as opposed to Character Level).
  3. Oh, yea, it's only after you have a full party that you get the "select your party" screen. Crap. Oh well.
  4. Stop being a bunch of apologists already. The fact they decided to make it look like a game from 20 years ago already highlights how lazy there were. Cutting all the things that might have given it a glimmer or visual quality only brings that truth home. And how dare people continue to draw still pictures now that we have these snazzy moving ones. They need to get with the times.
  5. When does it count as having a companion for invalidating the Solo steam achievement. For instance, can you recruit a companion, but never add them to the party, just to have someone available in the stronghold, or does even creating them invalidate the achievement? I can guess the answer, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.
  6. I haven't lost many since my initial manual, but man is that bad troop placement for a defensive battle.
  7. +8 + 1 per level would be a good scaling, I thinking, meaning +20 at level 12. But the biggest issue really is the Talent. The Two-Handed Style Talent is boring, but at least it's good and dependable. The One-Handed Style Talent is really, really bad. My suggestion has always been to add a secondary effect to it, such as increasing Penetration, or reducing Recovery Time a lot after managing to Deflect (a riposte-like effect, essentially; you deflect during Recovery, you get to attack faster). Or something like that. I doubt they would ever do the second suggestion since they tried to get that same effect with the riposte talent, which for some reason wasn't limited to 1-h. That's the duelist talent, but anyone can take it.
  8. If your mechanics specialist (not sure why you think sneak is needed) could place them all, and then you ran into a NPC mechanics specialist, then you would get greatly reduced utility from the new character's skills. Part of the design of all skills was to make it useful to have the same skill on multiple characters, and the way they accomplished that with mechanics was to allow one trap per character. That way even if you had 5 characters with trap laying ability, a 6th would still provide the utility of one more trap. Specializing is fine, but the system you want removes the cost of specializing. You have the best of all worlds and it costs you nothing. Specializing should cost you something, and in this case it costs you multiple traps.
  9. Too many experiences in Bioware games where I picked an option that seemed like what I wanted to say and then turned out to be my character being sarcastic (or abusive or whatever) when that isn't what I want. Anything that gives me more information as to what my character is going to say and how it will be interpreted by the game is better than guessing and playing mind reader with with the devs. More information as to what is going on behind the scenes is always preferable given how the game already has such limited means to communicate anything that is subtle.
  10. OK, there's one spot I just don't understand as something strange is happening, but I can't interact with it in any way. On Endless level 3 Is there something that should be happening?
  11. This is exactly it. Multiple character with the skill can lay one trap each. If one character could lay multiple, then you might be stuck in a situation where your main had traps and then picked up another character with traps making it redundant. This is part of the whole no bad choices design decision.
  12. Has there been any justification why this happened? I mean truthfully, I don't really care about healing much at all since it only affect endurance and not health, but making the one special thing chanters got worse is a bit of a head scratcher. I don't recall ever thinking it was making a huge difference. They could have easily doubled it without me thinking it was overpowered, so it is a very strange choice. Is there some sneaky combat slowing exploit that allows it to really shine?
  13. Is there only the single sidequest line for each companion, or do you occasionally get additional quests for adventuring/talking with them? I'm just wondering if I can pull the correct ones out to follow their quests or if I need to be careful to have specific companions with me during specific times.
  14. This is really annoying with shields when I want to switch my sword and board fighter between different slaying weapons while keeping my one good shield equipped.
  15. For the companions you send on the side/solo adventures, is there any benefit in giving them good equipment or leveling them up, or are they just warm bodies to assign?
