  1. Note: I wasn't sure in which forum to post this (General Discussion or Stories). I decided to post it in this one in case that a developper (like Justin Bell who's the audio director (and therefore, might have access to that info)) might catch it. Being a bit of a VA nerd, I'm curious on who voices who in this game (especially since the voice acting, even if there wasn't that much, was really good). I recognized a few voices, but some still eludes me. Here's what's known and I'll probably update it when I come across some more info. Cast list Orion Acaba Valerie Arem Edward Bosco Brandon Cole Elspeth Eastman Richard Epcar : Caravan Master Odema, Raedric VII, Spirit of Od Nua (no proof, but they really sound like Richard Epcar) Todd Haberkorn : (a big maybe (I'm really not sure), but he may have voiced Thaos) Mela Lee Matthew Mercer : Aloth, Edér, Male Player: Sinister Voice (confirmed by Matthew Mercer on Twitter) Dave B. Mitchell : Narrator (according to IMDB) Liam O'Brien : Heodan (again, no proof. Just recognized him) Tara Platt Sam Riegel (credited as Sam Regal) Cindy Robinson : Calisca (according to IMDB) Gigi Sarroino Patrick Seitz : Kana (Confirmed on Facebook), Sparfel (no proof, but that voice is unmistakable) Stephanie Sheh Michael Sinterniklaas Christopher Corey Smith (credited as Chris Smith) That's all that I could find (mainly going through the game (both in-game and it's files) and gameplay videos (yeah, I haven't been able to play as much as I would like). If anyone (especially the devs) can provide any more info, just reply. Maybe I should add a list of characters with spoken lines, to make it easier. Edit: Added Stephanie Sheh. How did I miss that?
  2. I also want to know. It seems like you need to edit some files, though (don't ask me which ones. I don't know them. Or how).
  3. Going to add my two cents here (and bump the thread). I really want to have custom sound sets (I played with those in Icewind Dale). I checked in the gamefile and adding them to the audio files seems simple enough (they need to be in ogg vorbis format, though. And I still haven't figured out their naming system). But I suspect that there's another step before they become selectable. Again, I wonder if there's a dev that could answer that question.
  4. Considering inXile are doing a big upgrade to Unity 5 with their upcoming Game of the Year edition, I guess we can expect that. But it'll take a few months at least. And by the way, those who already got Wasteland 2 will get that upgrade via a patch (kinda like The Witcher Enhanced Edition). But considering how engine switched have been a problem in some development (*cough* Daikatana *cough*), I won't blame them letting inXile "test the waters" for such an upgrade. As far as I've heard, there's a lot of pros for migrating to Unity 5 (better modding since the tools for the pro version are available to all, better shading and overall better performance), but the call is at Obsidian. I really do hope that they will migrate eventually.
  5. How would you like a function where you right-click on an item in your inventory and it is converted into cp and added to your party cp? Now, you're just changing the subject.
  6. A petition? Are you ****ing kidding me? I like old-school RPGs as much as the next guy, but this level of idiocy is just baffling. This isn't removing challenge or dumbing down anything, this is adding a level of convenience that's just common sense. Tediousness isn't challenge. It detracts more from the game than most "dumbing down". Sorry for the rant, but that thread made me facepalm one too many times.
  7. I wonder if it's really needed. I haven't played the beta, so I don't know anything on how the dialogue is, but Fantasy RPGs (with the exception of The Witcher) don't strike me as the type of game that would need a language filter. Even Dragon Age (all of them) which had it's fair share of bad language didn't feel like they needed one.
  8. Not only that, but that's also the reason why Daikatana was so buggy at release. They switched from the Quake engine to the Quake 2 engine thinking that it'll be an easy porting job (that would take a few weeks). Turns out that the engine was completely different that what they tought and the porting job took a full year and introduced many glitches (and it was the main cause for the bad AI and level design bugs).
