  1. And did anyone ever find out exactly who Mira's father was? Kreia mentions Mira's father when the Exile asks about the future of all his allies. I was never able to pry anything out of Mira about her father, except when she tells the Exile she had a father once already.
  2. In the LS game, during the final confrontation between the Jedi Masters and Kreia on Dantooine, Kreia tells the Masters she is going to show them what it's like to see the world through the Exile's eyes (or words to that effect) and zaps them. They fall down, deader than dead. Kreia then kneels next to the unconscious Exile and says something to the effect that she understands what happened now: "It was because you were afraid." I found this dialogue to be rather cryptic. At first, I thought she was referring to the Jedi Masters being afraid of the Exile (which of course they were). When I replayed that scene again, it seems pretty clear Kreia meant that the Exile was afraid. My feeling was that she meant the Exile was afraid to form any more bonds with anyone because Malachor caused her so much pain; hence her 10 year self-imposed (at least according to some of the dialogue) exile. So, is Kreia saying that the Exile cut herself off from the Force because of that fear? But it seems that being cut off from the Force kills Jedi -- UNLESS the Exile had no Force abilities of her own to begin with -- she was only able to tap into the Force abilities of others from the very beginning. So, instead of cutting herself off from the Force, she only cut herself off from Force users, which would be really lonely, but wouldn't kill her. Wouldn't this also mean that Malachor V didn't cause her "Force-vampirism"? What do you guys think?
  3. I installed the thing, talked to him for a couple of minutes and took it right out again. It's a terrible thing to do to an assassin droid. His indignation at having it installed in the first place was pretty amusing.
  4. I bought some Jal Shey Adviser Armor from the . Even though it's got the weird skirt thing going on, it's upgradeable with overlays and underlays. So, eventually, I was able to add VP regen +3 and +3 CON, which was great for my lady consular/master. Also, I discovered that the items this merchant carries are random -- I just kept reloading until the one I wanted came up. Of course, after I bought the darn thing, I started finding them everywhere. <_<
  5. No. You need to eavesdrop, using stealth mode, on two thugs. They are not in Vogga's lair. As far as I know, there are two places on Nar Shadda where you can use stealth mode to overhear certain conversations. My pc used one of the "stealth belts," because she only had one or two points toward stealth. I'm guessing you can have one of your party do the eavesdropping, but I don't have first hand knowledge of this.
  6. Hmmm. Intriguing thread. There's always the "frozen in carbonite" ploy. Revan and the Exile have been captured, frozen in carbonite and set out as bait to lure the pc and pals into a trap. The game would have you traveling to various planets (naturally) to ferret out the clues to Revan and Exile's location. But who would be the enemy? Remnants of the ancient Rakatan Empire who want to destroy both the Sith and the Jedi to reclaim the galaxy/universe? Would that mean the Sith and Jedi have to unite to fight a common enemy? Yes? No? Maybe? Oh well, back to work.
  7. If you've got the juma juice in your inventory, all you need to do is click on the kath hounds' water dish, and you should get the option to use it in the dish.
  8. The number of components received also appears to depend on your skill; Bao-Dur was able to get more components when breaking down items than my pc was. I'm not certain whether this applies in reverse; i.e. if you have a high skill level, less components needed to make an item.
  9. I was able to use Bao-Dur to breakdown items in the beginning (on the Hawk's workbench) and he volunteered to repair T3 for me. Unfortunately, about 2/3 of the way through Nar Shadaa, Bao-Dur quit speaking to me. I can't even get him to make me shields anymore. I'm playing as a light side female and had tons of influence with him and was able to get his history, but for whatever reason, he just clammed up. Very frustrating, because I wanted to train him.
  10. You only say that because women love scoundrels.
  11. Take notes on this one guys -- you might just have women swooning in droves. Don't get it? I think Atton is telling your female pc (rather subtly, at that) that she's constantly in his thoughts and she'll never be alone. Very romantic. Just fill in the appropriate wording. For example: "If you ever feel alone (scared, unhappy, etc.), listen to music in your head because when you do, you'll be listening to music with me." End lesson.
  12. Maria -- exactly the way I constructed my Jedi Sentinel. I haven't gotten very far, though, and wondered if the Dex: 10 gives you any problems, defensively. My lady seems to be doing okay so far. I also thought about boosting intelligence to 16, but couldn't decide which attribute(s) to subtract from, and I'm not sure whether it would be worth it. Anyone? (I expect I'll create several different characters before I settle on one to take through the whole game.)
  13. I just had to register to add my thanks to all the folks at Obsidian. Major props to you all for producing an exciting, intelligent, story-driven game! So far, I think it surpasses KotOR I for dialogue, characterizations and story line. I hope this is only the first of many such games.
