  1. Same here, there's only so much you can do business wise on your own. In all cases all products produced need to have investments.
  2. I'm just gonna say if a My Little Pony crpg ever came into existence. I would be done with this planet, I would get off earth and hop onto the nearest comet.
  3. Well anyone I know mostly see's Skyrim as the only crpg (and for that I pity them, and besides I think Morrowind is the better TES game). Though jeez that would be a hard question to actually answer since a relationship like that would be viewed as too abnormal, even though people have presented a lot of concepts of inter-species romances especially in science fiction that has spread to the far masses. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is the movie The Fly and the Marvel comics movie Howard the Duck (I wish I could forget that movie existed along with Steel). Somehow I went blathering on without answering your question, if I was to take a stance on the subject I would remain as neutral as hell.
  4. How did the smurfs fare against Icasaracht in HoW? Also regarding to your question on morals and whats right and wrong. One other factor you forgot to include is the time period of those actions as well. For the case of whats right and wrong that is dependant of the society itself if someone goes out of those boundaries laid out by that society they will be punished for it. The thing in the end that you have to really look at is what do 'you' think is morally right and wrong?
  5. So a personality of responses like Ignus from Planescape: Torment? I would be interested in seeing a character thats defined as Chaotic Neutral.
  6. We'll have to wait and see what the image format is going to be; considering auto-reducing it like that is gonna bring down the quality of the image depending on what type it is. Usually for cases like this its better to crop off elements so you can have as much focus to the facial portion of the portrait as possible. For example lets say I was going to import a custom portrait into IWD2 here's how I would have it, Large (Character Sheet) [i haven't actually resized these to be used in IWD2 I just wanted to illustrate what elements you should keep], Small (In game portrait),
  7. ^ Sounds like you had a good hands on experience for what happens to a computer if it can't reach the wattage levels it needs. Time for a Play *Curtains Rise* CPU, CMOS IC's, GPU, HDD, etc.: WE WANT VOLTAGE! PSU: I can't meet your demand. CPU, CMOS IC's, GPU, HDD, etc.: WE DON'T CARE! *attempts to draw power* CPU, GPU, HDD, etc.: Ohh no one of the CMOS IC's we need, didn't power on correctly so it burned out. MB dies all attached devices lost communication to both the Northbridge and Southbridge... As the curtains fall on this play there is nothing but silence.
  8. That is a possibility a low one, but then again I've seen PCB's that have rings of LED's on them with a color of one LED being different (A ring of red LED's yet for some reason one white LED got into that ring). Hot Glue is awesome for electrical solutions. You would be surprised some manufacturers of electronics cover all solder points on the PCB with hot glue to protect them against the external possibility of creating an unintended short. I'm not there yet, I'll be getting close if we don't find a solution soon.
  9. It's probably just electrical noise (leftover AC ripple from the transformer and filter capacitors to a DC signal) that wasn't fully filtered out, it won't affect your DC signal too drastically (could have AC readings on it of about maybe 250 - 500 uV). If anything it'll just be an audible annoyance. I don't know why, I've taken apart so many PSU's that are all the same model yet some of them will make a small audible noise and some of them won't its completely random. The only moving mechanical part in the power supply should be the fan. I think he would of noticed that sound pretty quickly.
  10. It's all those millions of transistors (sometimes billions). Curse you Moore's Law!
  11. Your missing a timing belt and a flywheel :D /s Majority of that heat is probably from your CPU mate, ever tried powering on a PC with a loose heat sink (this happened to one of my college professors) or none at all?, CPU usually sets itself to overheat status within 2 - 5 seconds. Granted enough that might be very dependent on your build. Go with what Humanoid said above, I have nothing to contribute to that statement. Speaking of power supplies, I really want to take a PS4's PSU and tear it apart (I'm aware there is a video of a tear down of it, its not the same as taking it out of its enclosure powering it up and probing it with a multimeter). Not to question Mark Cerny or anything I just want to know why the hell isn't the AC side of that PSU tied to earth ground. Or if anyone on here can elaborate that decision for me I'm all ears.
  12. I seriously wonder how we drifted so far off from the creator of the topics original intentions. Then again it is the internet...
  13. Exactly right, PSU don't run at their native wattage threshold so if it is temperature based it has to build up to it. For ones that are load based I've had experiences where I had to use six 8 watt digital valves for a 300 watt power supply to be loaded. Spent many days looking at characteristics of PSU's with an Oscilloscope and doing crazy experiments with an AC source (to a point where the noise was very very audible) to send HF noisy AC signals to them. Just to see how well it can filter out the AC noise within the Digital Output.
  14. My bad, I took one conversation months ago well out of context. Its good to know this game will still have a system like that because it worked so well for me. So if anything my excitement for this game just got even higher. Either way thanks for the correction mate.
  15. I don't know where to begin with this.... Bethesda.... Well lets get to the point of the design choice of companions having AI I would say is not the best option for this kind of game its a much more effective playstyle to know exactly what each of your companions actions are. Granted enough I could tell you for the Baldurs Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Planescape Torment to make use of the pause style of combat to be able to manage your companions more effectively (also NWN series and NWN2 series). Though that kind of combat system isn't going to implemented in PoE. So I guess all I can really say is the goal of this game is to have us as being long time fans of the Infinity Engine games to relieve that classic PC gaming experience. If managing your companions yourself is hindering you from enjoying these kind of games then maybe these kind of RPG's are not your cup of tea.
  16. Would you say the spreading of reputation would be dependent not only on the location but also on the position/rank of the individual you do a task for? For example, if I had a character that saved a king from being assassinated, naturally you would get into his good graces and word about your deed would spread far wide. Now lets say I helped out a man who lives outside of society from getting eaten by a group of wild animals, I wouldn't expect to have my reputation rise too much or even at all. What if 'you' missed a detail during one of the questions your character asked? Usually the highest dialogue node is along with lines of, "Is there something else you wanted to ask?" I mean can you honestly tell me in real life you have never said, "Can you please repeat that?" or if someone asks you to do something and you go back to follow up with them on how your doing that task to make sure its what they wanted.
  17. I haven't seen the film but just read a summary about it. I neither consider myself a pro- nor an anti-mancer, but my spontaneous response to what I just read is a genuine 'WTF'? EDIT: It also somehow reminds me of the movie The Beast with a Million Backs from futurama. As a necromancer I am appalled by the plot of this movie a man falling in love with something that is comprised of nothing but ones and zeroes /s Don't worry your reaction is genuine and I also have to say I do see a lot of the similarities between this and The Beast with a Billion Backs. Though then again now that I think about the premise itself isn't really anything new...
  18. Sorry to hear about that mate, I think you need to store a backup of your save onto a flash drive. :D
