Actually, the attribute-based animation is a pretty nifty idea. And not particulary difficult to implement: after all, if would be a geometric increase in artwork complexity.

Okey dokey, so what you want is more elaborate / longer animations? I still think it's a little early to be claiming the game doesn't have them / look good enough. We can only wait and see. From what I saw the "personal space" issue was almost non-existent, too.

It's true. The coffee in the US is abominable. Even in Starbucks, which at least manage to make an okay cup in the UK (where coffee is an arcane artform, too). At least the UK can make a cup of tea. (Even if it does require them to be anally-retentive and sexually-repressed to do it.) Ghengis Ken was indeed a real person, who does scary things with photoshop to permanently scar newlyweds and make them think that, instantly after the wedding, they will never look as good as they did on that special day. I woudn't have minded so much, but adding the toupee and glasses to the bald bride was a bit much. Surely someone would notice? Then again, maybe that is the remit: make this the happiest day ever, no holds barred. How can a sentient being not manage to reach me, given my five star hotel, my full name and my room number! What sort of tool ... then again, must not judge ... must not ... still, even though I made extra preparations: reception were briefed and given specific instructions, yet still no word at the appointed time. So the plaintiffs are arguing that NwN characters should have more fluid animations during the non-directed action of the turn-based combat sequences? And this is ruining your gaming experience? So, you would be terrifically upset with the stilted action of the characters in Street Fighter, too, I presume? I have looked at the video sequence of the outdoor battle (with the boars etc) and I see nothing that isn't in keeping with a turn-based (i.e. action-pause-action template) reality. Would the character treading water (or singing / dancing / nervously looking at their watch / whatever), whilst the player decides which spell / sword / man

My IBM laptop has regular BIOS updates, and I have generally applied them as they were released. Until I managed to screw up my IBM partition. Now I don't seem to be able to apply any more, but I am not particularly concerned (the laptop is threee years old and works adequately well). I HAVE fried a WiFi router with a poorly executed BIOS update: it now operates as a very spiffy repeater. :D
