Ships on Monday, should be in stores Tuesday.

Inform me if Im wrong, but shouldn't Prestige Classes have certain requirements? And if so, wouldn't one of those be: You should be trained in the field related to the Prestige Class? i.e., take Guardian if you want to be a Sith Marauder? (Or assassin, whichever corresponds.)

I'd remove the 'sweet' from that and just leave it at 'bitter.' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless Im misunderstanding your post, we would be in complete agreement. B/c personally, I don't like the "bitter sweet" endings. Maybe this is why they did it but if I get stuck with a bittersweet end then I'll be pretty lured to the DS. -
I like it. Sounds good to me.

Wow. It's so weird to see all of these times being listed but to keep up the pace, I will as well: First time through? 26 hrs, missing a few quests. 3rd time? 18-19 with all quests.

But taking a Jolee-esque viewpoint on it: Not only passions are bad. They simply provide another access point for bad things. If you can control it, love actually allows you to turn Bastila back much easier and she lives. The same principle holds true elsewhere. -

I agree with Darth_Gandalf. What's the point? If Im going to try to have a VG romance then I want it to be worth something, not just a f*ck. (Sorry for the rudeness ppl.) Having anything more than a kiss, make the game something it's not....porn. -
Depending on who's deciding, I'd include Doom 3 in there.
-
No doubt. As with any game, there are bound to be a few flaws, but KOTOR was easily the best RPG Ive ever played and there is no reason, in my mind, that TSL will not replace it. Im sure, b/c I like to nitpick and critique things, that I'll find something wrong, but it's going to be a great game no matter what.

That's why I edited my post to include the line about "too much training and too little action". Taris felt like a training zone. Yes, I understand that it set the tone for the game, and was important to the plot, but I felt like I was being led around by the hand. I know that we need another planet to fulfill the same role Taris had, but I hope Obsidian does a better job of it than Bioware did.
-
God, I hope not. I hated Taris. The only fun thing about it was the Duel ring. Now, I know that this is a different game and a different planet, but Taris was just so....boring. There was too much "training" and too little action.
-
I hope not. Halo 2 was indeed a good game, and I do enjoy it, but as Ive said before: If this game is even a little better than the first, then it deserves to be GOTY.
-
And that is only assuming that you play virtually the same way with just a separate alignment. Doing different romances, testing influence limits on every character, picking separate powers/feats. 100+? Easily. But not the first time through.

Actually, to quote myself:

Most Anticipated Force Power

Yeah, but is Beast control LS, DS, or neutral? have they told us yet? That would be funny: *PC uses force power Beast Control* PC: Go run into that fire over there! *Beast burns* -
Well, normally, I would agree. However, given this "Paranoid" feeling that is overshadowing the game, what with hidden agendas and promises of great surprises, Im trying to think of things that I normally wouldn't assume so as to make a better guess.
-
And if something like that happened (kill a brother or something), then that would explain him being an Exile!
-
That sounds like a very good and interesting theory....... Who's Allema?
-
Well, let's examine it: She/He's not Revan, or any other powerful character we know. So (s)he has something unique about him/her. I guess part of it would be in the reason (s)he was Exiled, and what (s)he was doing before that. What do we know about the PC's history? What would be reasons for exile? Going against the Council? Why would the PC do that? *frustrated* Hard to tell.

What about Kreia's agenda? We keep wondering about her past....what about her present/future? It's been listed that she liked: So if she wants someone who can be in control, and is trying to influence you to be controlling, might it be that she is looking for someone powerful to manipulate into doing her will? (Whatever that may be?)

Well, I have to say, the romance subquests in the first game were really fun at some points. And given the level of advancement , these should be even better. -

Beast control for two reasons: 1. There were some battles when you fought enough creatures that it got a little difficult. Taking one from them and adding it to you, for a short period of time, would help a lot. 2. I think it would just be cool. -
I've heard a lot of people joking about how Kreia might cut off her own hand: very true but its the only thing I could think that would account for the error other than someone else (more than likely Sion) taking her hand. Or who knows maybe she hasn't used a saber in so long that the first time she uses one she cuts her own hand off. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would really hope that a jedi no matter how old, wouldn't cut off there own hand <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually I was looking through something the other day(given all the talk of lightsaber forms) and found this: Cut off weapon hand (cho mai) Cho mai immediately makes that the opponent can no longer use his weapon, but does not kill him. It is a preferred Jedi move. The precision of cutting off only a hand is considered the mark of a superior lightsaber master. Many Jedi stop at this mark, not willing to kill their opponent. Fighting Styles I don't know if this is a possibility or not, but I thought Id throw in my two cents. On another topic, someone mentioned earlier how Atton's profile said he would surprise gamers at the end. Well, the conspiracy has him seeming very self-serving. What if he is supposed to protect you or watch over you somehow? Perhaps in the end game he becomes very selfless? That would surprise me a little.

I was joking around. That's a little hard to convey through a forum post sometimes, but I was just trying to get across how I thought it sounds like a cool game. And, actually, the few games that I have thought that about, I ended up overlooking all of the flaws and continue to think they are some of the best games ever. I think that depends on the situation. Whether she was redeemed or not, and whether he is LS/DS. Also, my uber Charisma score can convince anyone. (SHH! Don't tell! It's a secret! ) -

I don't know why, but I think Ive heard that before..... Actually, even though the romance thing will be interesting, Im still stuck on influence. Im curious how far that goes and to what degree. "I don't have to. Zaalbar will do it for me."
