That must be like watching old sitcoms with canned laughter 🤔

Pictures of your games, lucky #13
Haven't posted here in a while... still enjoying Guild Wars 2. Latest episode in Season 5 is a blast. Literally. Just stay out of the circles, right? Dang circles are everywhere. You especially risk steping in them in the last boss fight, which is a helicopter you have to shoot down with bazookas (helicopters are used quite a lot in this game, especially in the jungle warfare)

Politics XXXVII (The 12th Prime)
Looks like the US had a "good streak" from 2005 to around 2015 with the comparatively low percentages in violence.

Politics XXXVI (will catch up to superbowls soon)
Don't you just love it when people get causality all mixed up? I've seen low brow, IQ60 people commenting on the Fox website, completely convinced that poor people all congregate at Democratic urban centers, because being discriminated against, repressed, living in poverty and ghettos is what they prefer and the Democratic party is the only one that can offer them this (slightly paraphrased by me). Rather than getting their logic straight, that living in poverty, raised in slums and ghettos leads to people voting Democratic rather than Republican (and not the other way around) Just too difficult a concept for the average Fox troglodyte I guess...

Einstein disagrees... you'll need to do some time/space shifting to argue the point with him though (it's a 5 minute video, but very interesting if subjects like time interests you) https://www.bbc.com/reel/video/p038cfb4/watch-this-video-to-understand-the-biggest-idea-in-physics Edit: more about the subject (and probably more on point for your post) https://www.bbc.com/reel/playlist/the-big-questions?vpid=p04s223j

It wont boost his ratings, so unlikely to have any effect. People, other than his usual gullible goons and voters seems to have large forgotten his antifa lies. Speaking of Trump lies, it seems like he's completely unable to get even near a plausible lie at times.... https://www.bbc.com/news/52984295

*sigh*.... feels like ages since I posted any Rammstein in this thread 😳 Edit: They got fed up by a lot of media calling them alt-right and neo-nazis. Tired of the crap, this was their way of setting the record straight, their hearts are on their left side (metaphorically and literally), supporting the left wing spectrum of politics

Defunding (not even a real word, is it?) is the most moronic thing I've heard in a long while. If anything, they need more funds and a way to ensure they get better spent. Apparently addressing mental health issues, training, more training and vetting (even among force veterans) seems to be some sorely neglected things in the police forces.

Queensland (the state I live in) have probably built more walls towards New South Wales (our southern neighbour) than Trump will ever manage to build on the southern US border 😝 Got to keep those losers from New South Wales out, right? 😇 https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2020/apr/03/queensland-bolsters-border-closure-with-barriers-and-checkpoints-to-keep-coronavirus-at-bay

No, I won't tell you. But I'll speculate (because I don't know), that those who murdered her had an agenda. As for which one, it could be racism, it could be to keep the unrest going or even escalate it. One thing we can hopefully agree on is, people can be scumbags.

I'll put a little 'V' sticker on the side of my c0ckpit, I think I managed to rile @Volourn up 😝 So, tl;dr; you either don't understand the bigger picture or deliberately ignore it, focusing on the symptoms rather than the causes. Your choice. Don't accuse me of cherry picking info though, I never said the instigators were all far right, only that recent arrests were. You're the one jumping to conclusions and putting words in my mouth. All I wanted to point out was the official story wasn't the whole truth. This stopped being about Floyd the same day he was murdered. Videos from people there, whether pro shots or phone images have an agenda and a narrative too, just like everybody else. It may be a different perspective, but they still have a story they want to tell. If you focus only on those, you will still only see a limited part of what is going on. Rage isn't rational. Populists thrive on rage because it can be manipulated and directed. That's how it works. Point at someone and yell witch and watch enraged people lose their heads and grow violent without thinking. Ask yourself, who benefits from it? Probably a surprisingly large number of people and interest groups. None of them giving a damn about the victims.

If you say so... The US Census declared that in 2014 14.8% of the general population lived in poverty: 10.1% of all white non-Hispanic persons 12.0% of all Asian persons 23.6% of all Hispanic persons (of any race) 26.2% of all African American persons 28.3% of Native Americans / Alaska Natives So in absolute numbers, maybe. But not really. Minority demographics might feel disproportional numbers of them are affected. Coincidentally also a larger percentage of those groups that feel a systemic discrimination against them. Edit: As for the agitators and extreme violence perpetrators... I read Trump blames the far left and antifa and what have you. But then, he's not exactly known for his cognitive abilities. I'll take BBC News words over his (and Fox) any time of day when they say recent arrest were members of the far right community, throwing molotov ****tails at the police (at the 9:08 paragraph) https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-us-canada-52903545

I think (as in no hard facts) that the repeatedly flaring up riots over police brutality in the US the last several decades has more to do with poverty and social unrest than race. That poverty is more widespread among some minorities just skewers the perception that race is the issue. When the number of people living under poverty line bounces between 10 and 15% the last many years, I believe it's inevitable that social unrest will flare occasionally. A moron for president, spouting aggressive, empty headed rhetoric doesn't do anything to calm a population down.
