    I've noticed a lot of the tracks aren't in the soundtrack download, any particular reason? Some great tracks too.. Also, maybe that's the reason youre not keen on that section in the caed nua track, because it sounds so much like the shire .. Its only around 30 seconds of it though I think

    ive actually emailed support about purchasing the DRM free expansion but no response as of yet... I guess they could just put it in the manage pledges section as an add on? That would make it only available to backers, right?

    The wilderness areas (east and west of Stalwart) were kinda overstuffed with unrelated encounters though. I liked it better in Baldur's Gate where you could explore wilderness without running into a battle every two steps. Wilderness should feel like wilderness, not like you've walked into a Woodstock for beasts and monsters. I might be wrong since its a long time since I played baldurs gate, but I remember several wilderness areas where id destroy a band of hobgoblins, walk away, realise I forgot to loot something, then when I go back another group had spawned literally seconds later. It was a giant pain in the ass. Granted this was not in every wilderness area though.

    Yeah this seems to be the same for me, although I'm actually pretty sure I shouldn't have the expansion unless it came with the collectors edition tier, so id actually have to purchase it.

    Only 17 replies to this topic over 5 months many of which are the same people - suggests the answer may well be that there is not enough apparent interest in the DVD version to continue to support it - As frustrating as that would be its a possibility. Like I say though, they ninja updated the patch page to 2.03 without posting here about it, which was odd.. So the game is up to date patch wise (until tomorrow with 3.0 obviously) just with no expack. On the one hand, its completely understandable dropping this from a business standpoint, and on the other, Im not sure if they are obligated to support it because saying there would be a DRM free version in the kickstarter. Then again GoG is DRM free anyway. The silence is what bothers me, as, like you say, I might be waiting for nothing.

    I do wonder what happened, considering the original post stated they hoped to have part 1 ready in a couple of weeks. What could cause a delay of 5 months?

    I really like what I'm seeing with the 3.0 update guys, but I'm still interested if the white march will be available for the drm disk owners. Its no problem if not as I still have a spare key for steam/GoG, but I would prefer to use the DVDs... I understand this is low priority and not many people seem bothered (in fact it seems like I am the only one who is ), but as far as I know the white march for dvds hasn't been mentioned since this post I have quoted. Thanks

    Having said that I cliked on the link on this post and 2.03 is actually available to download! Odd that they didnt let us know. My question still stands as regards the White March though, as I will still want to play with that. As far as I know its still not available for use with the DRM free discs.

    Stupid question : if you're able to download the latest patch and the expansion, why not simply download the original game along with it? I don't think you understand what I am asking. I have the original game installed on my PC using the DRM free discs that came with the boxed collectors edition. What I DONT have, is the latest patch (this topic is 2.01, we're on 2.02 now as far as I know, with 3.0 coming shortly) or WM part 1, because neither are available to me or anyone else trying to play with the DRM free discs. My question is this: Will the latest patch and the expansions be available for me to use shortly after WM part 2s release, or should I just give up on the idea of playing with the disc installation and download the game on steam/gog? I personally don't mind doing this, but I was originally going to give my steam/gog key away.

    Okay, WM part 2 is coming out in feb, so I will likely start playing the game soon after. What is the likelihood of me being able to play with the disc version along with the latest patch and the expansion?

    Its beginning to get a little frustrating. I thought they said the patching process would be quicker from now on? There is also still no way for me to actually get the white march.

    The official word on the 2.0 patches and the expansion.. As for the Abelone novella, it seems like he is chronically over extendeding himself, as he also hadn't delivered the Wasteland 2 novellast (which was turning into a full blown novel last time I heard about it). Thanks for that. Nice to know they are looking into it. Im just kinda suprised all of this wasnt discussed and sorted out well before the release of white march... Im sure avellone said hed finished the PoE novella though as well.

    Id hope they at least put up the 2.0 patch, but to be honest without the expansion content it kinda makess the drm free versions worthless. The problem is some people may have given away their digital copies to friends, so they would have to buy the entire game to play the expansion. Personally Im not in any major rush as I will be waiting for part 2 before playing the game, so hopefully by then they may have sorted out what is happening with the backer drm free copies. It does kinda concern me how little attention this question is getting, though I guess obsidian are kinda busy atm. Benefit of the doubt for now. Although I am suprised there arent more backers asking about this.

    I've asked this question in a couple of threads related to the White March, but noone has answered me thus far, so I thought id just make a new topic. I am slightly concerned that nothing has been said about those of us using the DRM free physical copies from kickstarter getting the expansion. Can we get it from GoG? Do we get a download from somewhere else? If we do not then the DRM free copies of the game are kinda pointless. Of course I may have missed some news regarding this so if someone knows then feel free to point me in the right direction . Surely I am not the only one wondering about this though?

    Just for a heads up, I got the collectors edition, it came damaged so I contacted obsidian who put me in contact with someone at paradox. They sent me another one, no questions asked. Most kickstarters ive backed have had poor and dissapointing physical goods. I just put it down to underestimating the cost to produce and ship all the goods and then realising they need more for the game itself. Id rather the company use the money for the game, but if youre dissapointed with the game itself as well then I guess it stings even more.

    Theres a topic for this in the consoles and games section, so this might get closed... We dont know why chris left yet, maybe there was just an offer he couldnt refuse elsewhere, or maybe he was fed up of his "managerial" role at the company. Just speculation. The only thing we know that Chris has done since leaving is give feedback to beamdog for their upcoming expansion for BGEE, Siege of Dragonspear. Hes done a couple of interviews since but hasnt really spoken about his leavng of obsidian. Personally, Im still confident that PoE will okay without him, as much as I appreciate his work. As far as I know the main stuff he did on PoE was write Durance and Grieving Mother, so as long those characters arent the only thing you like about the game then I wouldnt be too worried. Though a fair few people do think that they are the best companions.

    As far as I know its just two parts... it was going to be one expansion but the split it in two so players would have new content sooner.

    About the white march... How will those of us who are using the DRM free backer DVDs get hold of it? the same way as the patches?

    That was interesting.... Shame the first half of the interview where he talks more about his work on siege of dragonspear is missing though.
