That's literally never stopped any publisher from pumping out tons of strategy guides for all the major releases. I have a collection of hard cover guides, many folks like to collect them, so if they don't make one it would only be because the previous one didn't sell well and they don't want to take a risk on a second one. The first one is gorgeous, though, and I'd love to have the follow-up right next to it on my shelf. We still have plenty of time for a listing to show up for one though, I'd wager we will indeed get one.

Backer Beta First Impressions
bleedthefreak replied to Adam Brennecke's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Is performance all over the place for anyone else? I'm running an i7 and a GeForce 1080 Ti but only getting between 40-80 (it's a huge range) of frames, and sometimes in buildings it can be super smooth and sometimes like 25fps and really jerky. I went into the boat and that world map is 144fps solid. -
For multi-classing I had a hard time seeing how many abilities I could get. Often I picked one ability not realizing I was only going to GET one ability, and once (at level 3, I believe) I actually was able to pick one ability from each tree, so it's a little confusing there.

if I have a character die towards the end of chapter 3 (which happened to my rogue) she doesn't get the reward for that scenario, which is fair. But I also noted when I beat chapter 3 that she never got to unlock her advanced class. Is this going to unlock for her at some point, or is she forever screwed?

Forced to rebuy on steam
bleedthefreak replied to Mercnet's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
You don't need to buy the $40 version, since you bought it on iOS you'll be eligible for the Ambassador Program, which will upgrade you to the $40 version for free if you buy the base game ($25, I believe). Look around for more details, the program should be available soon. -
Quick question, If I have the White Marsh expansion, and I start a new game, will I see stuff like Souldbound weapons as random loot in vanilla (original release) zones or is all the new stuff ONLY found in the new areas of the expansion? Also, does the increased level cap mean a new spell level and new abilities to acquire? Have any such abilities/spells/talents been revealed as yet? Any new class talents? Are there any abilities/spells/talents being added for low-level characters?

Game freeze - Guilded Vale/Windmill/Freeze
bleedthefreak posted a question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
Hey guys, Was playing the 2.0 beta and I got a strange issue where each time I come across the Windmill for the first time the cut scene with the angry mob starts and a few lines of dialog in (when I'm prompted to hit Continue) the game locks up when I click the continue button. I will attach my save game file and then I'll try some stuff like leaving the zone and re-entering it, but I wanted to provide a save that was still broken in case that's helpful. -Scott EDIT - the attach file button keeps saying there is no file selected (basic and advanced versions) so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. If you are interested in it let me know how best to get it to you - I can e-mail it, it's only 300kb. -
People (like me) who like to click on the currently used weapon set need to make double sure to click past the "extra" unarmed icon that seems to be a new feature. Except for Monks, why on earth would anyone want to be unarmed? Adding the extra click to the cycle of what weapons my party is using feels like a silly thing to add - can it be made a toggle-able option, perhaps? Also, I'm getting a strange "locked" icon on my third weapon set with my Barbarain (he's the race with +1 weapon sets). The weapon set seems to work, but I have a strange, translucent lock over the weapon listed there. Minor, but I felt it was worth mentioning. EDIT - Argh, I mean "Useless" in the title. Should probably read, "useless AND annoying"

Also, perhaps the priest protection spells (like the protection from Fear at level 1) should affect Charm (the one that protects against Confusion/Daze should also protect against Charm and Domination), and those should maybe be castable outside of combat. Just a thought. Definitely should also let abilities, like the Paladin, target charmed/dominated characters in order to remove the effect. Supress Affliction did NOT seem to be working on further testing/attempts.
-
I'm not sure what to do with a "Charmed" or similar status (confused, for instance) character. Suppress Affliction seems to work (Priest level 2) but I can't use the Liborating Exhortation (I think that's the one) from my Paladin as the party member is considered "an enemy" at that point, and I feel like that should be fixed. Similarly, if I drop a "Confusion" on a group of enemies, they become friendly (green/blue circles) and my Foe Only AoE spells don't affect them, which can be aggravating.

9AM PST release
bleedthefreak replied to ElmoHatesMe's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Steam rounds up, so in 3 minutes it will go from 15 hours left, to 14 hours left. That's 11am CST, Noon EST, and 1pm PST. -
I was playing around with level 12 characters a bit ago looking at spells, talents, and other offered abilities at each level up and was wondering if what's in the BB is the complete list of spells, skills and etc. as will be presented in the full version? There seems to be gaps in some of the classes (Paladin's don't get talents to improve their auras? Monks only get a handful of abilities that actually use wounds?, etc.) and class talents are somewhat sparse. If this is everything, it's still a good amount of content (don't get me wrong), but I thought I'd ask to find out for sure. Thanks!

The portraits in PoE are so amazing I'll probably export them for use in other RPG's (old and hopefully new).

Back when we had an eternity to wait for PoE, I thought I'd kill some time and also help me decide what class to play by doing some testing/experimenting with each class. The results were pretty positive overall, and I had a lot of fun playing around with the characters I made, though this was build 435 so quite a bit older than what we have access to now, let alone here in less than a week! In any case, I've had a little demand to repost those videos from Quarter to Three (forum) so I figured I may as well put them up. Here are links to the videos themselves, feel free to check out my channel for some other Pillars of Eternity videos I put together, and I'm certain to do more at release. I think I've now gotten it down to Wizard, Barbarian, or Monk, however. Possibly a Chanter. Or I might go Druid. Argh!

Off topic, but I like your videos on QT3. Consider posting them here as well? Oh, sure, I'd be happy to. I thought about it a few times, but I didn't want people to think I was just pushing my wares, so to speak. I didn't monotize them or anything, but sometimes folks can be touchy about that type of stuff. I'll make a new thread.

Oh wow, thanks guys! Tons of great info, you're all the very best!
