  1. Yeah, after 5-6 waves of them, a badass mage comes around and once he snuffs it, they don't show up anymore
  2. You won't take me alive pig! This is an unsanctioned use of magical energy. All involved will be held--this disturbance is *over*. Ooooh, I love those guys. I love to stack them in a huge pile once I get back from the Underdark. That's the reason I never buy a permit.
  3. You can even do that with certain AoE's. Rolling Fire works well for it, in fact. Cool. I don't have that yet, but I'll see how it works once I get it.
  4. Pig looks nice and plump though. You see, I got these mushrooms from the Valewood and this book by Tim Cain from the backer portal...
  5. I'm still stomping around in the opening areas (I'm in Guilded Vale right now), but from what I've seen so far - yes, very much so. I was worried (as many were) about combat mechanics, but when I got to try them out myself a couple of times, I have to say they are perfectly familiar to me. Everything I do in IE games (aside from starting battles with AoEs to flush out enemies) I do here and it works just as well. Very well done so far.
  6. My Russian is terrible, but here's the score: 10 Perfect Anyone can promise to make a new classic. Obsidian has delivered on their promise. + Meticulous recreation of the athmosphere and gameplay of the Infinity Engine games + Multiple improvements to the classic mechanics + Non-linear quests + Beautiful texts, graphics and music
  7. Noooooo! Do not fall to the binary! I believe he said 10, not 1010
  8. Ah, dammit. In some later playthrough I wanted to make a Chamberlain-like character dual-wielding pistol and katana going "I shoot you! If I don't shoot you, I cut you! Wakarimasu ka?"
  9. Hi there, Thanks for that confirmation, I was wondering about the same thing. Will both disc and digital versions be the Royal Edition? There is no difference in the game itself between different editions. The difference is in the amount of stuff you get with the game (such as manuals and stuff). Check your backer tier for those. Everything you have as a digital download can be downloaded from the backer portal or the respective edition on Steam/GoG. If your backer tier includes something that isn't in the respective edition, you can download it additionally from the backer portal. EDIT: Ninja'd by Katarack21
  10. Kana's got a nice all-around build, the way I'd expect a bard to look (low dex looks a bit odd for a bard though). So far I like his sheet the most. Eder looks like your typical 2nd ed fighter, fat on damage, health and little else. Put him in heavy armour and he is ready to go. Aloth's attributes mirror Eder's but he kinda-sorta forgot how to deal damage. Dropping AoEs to interrupt people could be fun, but without any real punch he'll remain a tricky character to play. Be sure to stack some beefcakes and take regular naps in Fridge Largemeat's tavern.
  11. "Giant Miniature Space Piglet: Traverse the enchanting plains of Eora with a glow in the dark companion."
  12. ^ I don't think that's the whole Q&A though. Those are just the oddball questions. The rest are probably coming soon.
  13. How well does it run on 4 GB RAM anyway? It is stated as a minimum requirement, but is it a "barely works even if PC and VGA are good" minimum, or a "it will be fine as long as your PC and VGA can handle it" minimum? (I'm talking about the Windows version. 64 bit.)
  14. Thanks for answering the cat question. Josh's cat is awesome, but there's only one Cutest Cat for me (not showing him as it may cause a cat thread). But seriously, how long is a dragon's flight from Lac Dinneshere? I've been to castle Maluradek with that sword and it still gets bonuses (I checked!). And that's in the middle of the Anauroch desert!
  15. Yeah, it's kind of hard to hide in shadows when your f***ing head emits light. Fire godlike: *sneaky sneak* Bandit: 'WTF dude I can clearly see you there.' Fire godlike: 'Nu-uh, you don't recognize me.' Bandit: 'The hell I don't, your f***ing head is on fire.' Fire godlike: 'I'm a torch.' Bandit: 'You're an idiot.' Fire godlike: 'Said the guy talking to a torch.' Bandit: 'You know what? You are right, I'm done talking with you.' Fire godlike: 'AMBUSH! HA HA, didn't expect that, eh?' Bandit: *groan* 'Oh. What. A. Surprise.' Fire godlike: 'Damn right. My sneak attacks can cure snake hiccups.'
  16. Relations between companies don't work the same way as relations between people though. He can say "f**k publishers" and strike a deal with EA tomorrow if both parties are interested. It's not like he's offending anyone.
