  1. Well, if I understand this answer correctly, it gives me alot of hope for the 8th companion. If slackerbackers, and paypal will add to the campaign, it seems possible.
  2. Here's the new stretch goal visual aid. I don't think we will se another companion. 5 millions seems way off. The boat looks dope thou, and the other goals looks cool. Also great with the languages, hopefully they can boost backing by a decent amount. Also super happy about the early bird DLC offer. We are going to get it anyways, might aswell add the funds for it to stretch goals. It would be cool to have Edwin, I mean Ydwin, as a companion tho!
  3. @mph **** you! I believed it for a second. :D So dirty!
  4. Oh, I didn't read that. Still, I stand by my words. ^_^
  5. On another note, I kinda feel like OE should have droppet an update yesterday (CET). There is less than 3 days left now, and it'll be atleast 9 hours before they go to work again. Then it'll like 2 days and very few hours. I'd had hoped for a big update, that could hype gaming sites, and make the final push abit earlier than that. Let's just hope they know what they're doing, and that they got enough time left.
  6. I'm not really into stuff like that, but that plushie looks pretty cute. ^^
  7. Isn't Fulvano like PoE's version of Volo? I hope we meet him in the second game, so he can tell us stufff and we can steal an aquamarine gem from him. :>
  8. That poor sod probably is the most incompetent person on the entire Eora. Don't you mean "was" the most incompetent? I am pretty sure you found his corpse in Eternity 1. I'm unclear on that. Wasn't it just a guy with his stuff on him? I might be mistaken tho.
  9. That poor sod probably is the most incompetent person on the entire Eora. I know, right? =D
  10. Ah, then I understood it. Wanted to be sure.
  11. Let's be honest. I wasn't. Read the thread context. I have no claim on any moral high ground.
  12. I feel like this a personal issue for you. I was making a case against using statistics inappropriately. Not on this singular issue. I don't remember much about DA: 2. But I do remember that for me, it had way bigger problems than romances, and sexuality.
  13. Open your mind dude. Leave your preconceptions when dealing with fiction. There are literally millions of examples in fiction about authors tweaking expectations, or manipulating real world phenomena either cuz it enchances their vision of their work, because they feel it's worth exploring, or simply because they want to **** with you. I bet the lions really threw off your immersion too then, right?
  14. So.. The real world aumaua, orlans, and elfs all died out cuz they were gay? I don't mean to offend people on their views on sexuality in games here, that's a thing I can live without. But it's a fantasy game, and the amount of real world resemblance is not a given. It's up to the dev to decide. You can argue all you want about how many gays there are in the world. But don't use the "it's unrealistic" argument. You aren't offended by all the lions roaming around the middle european setting? Have standards. If you don't want gays or w/e, that's your opinion. But stop with nonsensical use of statistics.
  15. Not that I give a damn about the sexual orientation of people in general as long as they play nice, but I do give a damn about statistical arguments. So I ask you this. In a fictional world with magic, dragons, and lion companions. Do you really find it prudent to use statistics of the real world to justify a position, limiting the creative freedom of OE to make the game as they see fit? I think it's rubbish. Considering PoE world's takes a lot of things from real history, yes. I hope ropekid sticks with that principle. I stand by what said, so I'm not going to argue about it. Well, I hope he does that aswell, since I love that setting. And that was my point excatly. Josh takes what he wants from history. Not just what is based in statistics. The likelyhood of you running into like 5? dragons in central Europe in the middle ages was pretty low. That's the creative freedom. If he wish to add more gays, lakes, or lions than history has to offer, that's his and OE's choice. And it shouldn't be dismissed because it's not statistically sound. It kinda defeats the purpose of a "fantasy" game.

  17. The money seems to be pouring in today. almost 3 million suddenly. ^_^
  18. When reading the update I couldn't help noticing that Neketaka is "a" big city and not "the" big city in PoE II. It gives me hope for more than one big city (questhub), which makes sense when you're exploring an entire island chain. Also very happy about the companion pictures Kaz is doing. They still look great!
  19. I agree. As epic as he is, it would completely destroy the immersion to have guys like him and Jim Cummings in a major role.
  20. that's my understanding aswell. It would kind of silly, say in the case of a priest, multiclass two priest subclasses. Somehow I don't think the gods would just roll with that. ^_^
  21. Yes we do. All multiclassing characters can pick 2 subclasses from different classes and level them. Josh confirmed that on a stream.
  22. Yay! Another Island! Rejoice everybody! :D
