I have a hard time believing the level scaling will be anywhere near as bad as it was in Oblivion. Wasn't there level scaling on a smaller scale in Fallout? I didn't notice it there, which is good. As for the Radiant AI being deceptive, I recognize that it is a very difficult thing to program. I don't think Bethesda was blatantly lying. AI is hard. They pulled a bit of a Peter Molyneaux with their expectations, but it hardly seemed intentional.

While Im not 100% sure, I believe Kelverin lost his battle with oral cancer and passed away earlier this year. For the last 6-7 years he was part of our fantasy football league and when he didnt report in this year a few of us went looking for him. His real name shows up on an obituary in his home town, his email has been disconnected and calling his telephone results in a different person now answering. Maybe he just took the long walk into the internet wasteland but Im fairly certain hes gone. That is really sad to hear. I had thought as much, based on the threads in that fantasy football league. He will be missed.

What will happen is ME3 will come out, and all the people who bought it will come on and talk about how great it is. Then months will pass and those positive people will move on to other things, and then the grumpy folks will take over the thread. Rinse, wash, repeat.

That sentence gave me a brain cramp.

my thoughts exactly I know skepticism is vogue and all, but really? I mean, when has Bethesda really tried to rip their customers off? Did I miss that? I could see this reaction with Ubisoft, Activision, EA, but Bethesda has been a pretty honest company. They may not make games you like, or you may be unhappy with their choices, but I don't think they deserve the stink-eye.

I'm not sure if the Falcons are as good as their record. They've had a lot of close games.

What's the joke ? Hm, I dunno maybe the entire post ? I'm not really in his head, but I did chuckle a bit reading his post. I'm a big fan of Purkake's humorous posts, but I didn't pick up on it this time. Ah well As for ME2, I found it very rewarding. My actions from ME1 were addressed time and time again, even if it was just a little email. It was a nice bit of reminiscence. It wasn't much in terms of story progression, but I accept that it was creating a bridge between the first game and the finale. Now I expect the third game to be a great finish, so hopefully that will be met.

So for those who don't want a cliche or happy ending, would you consider the endings to ME1 and ME2 those things? I thought they were pretty open, ME1 allowing you to get rid of the council and ME2 having the chance for multiple deaths among your companions. Granted there was a way to steer through those to a 'happy' ending, but there were options there.

:enters Volo-mode: No. seriously, highlander TV-series? bleh, only the first movie , yes, please. Adrian Paul will cut you if you talk like that. Seriously, he was a better Highlander than Christopher Lambert.

Was there any confirmation of mental illness? Failing a suicide bombing does not automatically amount to crazy. How so? He might not have been a certified crazy person, but suicide bombing should be enough to tip the scale to the loony bin side. -
I have no idea what Volourn is talking about.

Yes. They just don't have the room for cells for everyone. They have converted gyms and other large spaces into dorms. As was mentioned earlier, the entire system needs an overhaul, the death penalty is a super small problem overall, in terms of how many prisoners are put to death each year. Not that I'm making light of it, I just think that any proper overhaul will naturally render the death penalty obsolete.

A depressing end game from Bioware? Never. If I put 100 hours into a game series, I expect a happy ending. I'd really be ticked off by anything else.

People on life imprisonment spend their life on prison. More time, still best that they are confined. I'm not really sure where you are going with this. What do you mean by confined anyways? Stuck in a cell with little interaction with other inmates. Do you understand how difficult it is to do that in today's prison system?

I'd like to thank the members of the Academy for this award, my mother, and everyone on the internet who has ever offered up a wrong opinon - you know who you are. That made me smile

She really is average at best. I'm not sure most people really believe she's a good voice actress, they're just being fanboys. Yes, anyone who disagrees with you must be a fanboy. I forgot a *mostly. And by fanboys I mean the Bioware boards and you KNOW what I mean when I say there are plenty of fanboys there. Also do I really have to add "IMO" every time I say something like this? Of course it's an opinion if I say she's average at best. I don't really know what you mean, but I never go on the Bioware forums, so there you go. Fanboy is a term I see abused a little too much.

This game is also two years away. So I guess it is a regular sandbox RPG? I know there was talk about an MMO, it's nice to hear they aren't going there...yet.

I'm actually giving Oblivion another go. I still am having trouble getting into the main storyline, but I've detoured to the Shivering Isles and it is quite good. Hopefully Skyrim will be more Shivering Isles and less closing Oblivion gates

I totally hope I can hook up with Ashley again. It was a pain to romance her in the first game, and then I had to brush off the girl from Chuck to keep Ashley's photo on my desk. She better be worth it.

Ah, that's right, the DLC. Although I would imagine they are getting ready for their next project, I'm not sure if DLC requires a full team.

Even if WoT is considered a project for Obsidian, and I have my doubts about that, they have said they are a three-project company, which means they still should be working on something new. Although I suppose they might still have a team working on NV content. They reason I doubt the WoT gig is the company they were supposed to be consulting is apparently having all sorts of trouble.
