  1. I h4xx3d a car dealership's computer kiosks and installed Firefox on their main servers, then used it to surf the web on their T1 connection which previously had everything except the car maker's website blocked. It was very geeky, but not all that evil as I was probably doing them a favor.
  2. Every time you add 'san' to the end of someone's name I hate you a little bit more. You are the whitest person evar, and you live nowhere near Japan. I don't know why Michael Chu quit, I scoured his homepage and Google for an email address so I could pester him, but the Chu is smart, none are available.
  3. It's not so much that it's ugly, as everyone was being so damn nice! Basically what Mus? said. Yup.
  4. Canadian: Gordie McGriffithchuk French-Canadian: Guy La Griffithieux Russian: Yuri Griffithov I see some sort of pattern emerging.
  5. Damn, I'm gonna have to pass on this one until I have money for upgrades then.
  6. How much RAM are you running with Bok? Basically I'm trying to figure out if once again my RAM will be able to compensate for my video card.
  7. The ugly picture of a Hindu goddess hurts my eyes.
  8. I was but then I got all morally upright and stuff.
  9. I had around 100GB on the other HDD before I deleted it all. It was there because I live with my family, and my little brother is very nosy, and it boots up to the HDD I'm currently on automatically.
  10. pr0n Actually, that's not entirely true, but it was before I deleted it all.
  11. By the time you get to the Sensory Stones you should be hooked if you like the game at all.
  12. You're partially right, I don't have extensive knowledge in the area. I'm a little out of date with what different options provide since where I live access to good options is plentiful. I said sattelite because theoretically to me that seems like the best option since it doesn't require actual digging. But if you say I'm wrong I'll take your word for it, I'm sure you've done your research (especially given that it effects you a lot more than it does me). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry I was so terse, I had no right to be. Basically yes I could definitely get sattellite internet here, but it's more expensive than any other high speed internet, and it sucks a lot more in that it would only speed up downloads, is useless for any kind of gaming because of the way it sends the information (in bursts if what I've been told and understood is correct) and sporadic speed increases when websurfing. Honestly though, the kinds of web surfing I do it's just as fast her using cookies and such as it was on my aunt's PC using broadband.

  14. Ask yourself: "Should I really be saying other people are crazy when my favorite book is the novelization of Episode III?" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Book got very good reviews from critics and naturally - from SW fans (like me) so I think that you're the one f... in the head too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> SOUNDS SO AWESOME!!! I BETTER PICK ME UP A COPY RIGHT NOW BEFORE THEY ALL SELL OUT!!! HAHA!!! SELLOUT! LIKE LUCAS!!!
  15. Nope. The nearest houses with Cable Boxes are like thirty miles away, and the US is really bad at updating telecommunications infrastructure. I figure I am lucky if we get a mile of lines run a year, seeing as how nobody up here wants to pony up that kind of cash. Sattellite might speed up downloads a little bit, but it's so useless for everything else, plus as things stand right now it's more expensive than other forms of highspeed internet.
  16. Just like record companies offered both vinyl and CDs in the latter's childhood. No one is suggesting that downloads will replace physical purchases overnight. It's very unfortunate for rural US citizen's that technological evolution is largely passing them by, but as technology improves even those areas should be able to have access to high speed internet. And we're definitely not talking 30 years here. There should be several high speed solutions that work in isolated areas as well, the one that seems best suited being sattelite sattelite connection. In a way, rural areas should be a priority since they are the ones that could stand to benefit the most from downloading content instead of physical downloads. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you are saying sattelite is a good option for high speed internet in rural areas I am going to write you off as not knowing what the heck you're talking about right now. Honestly Broadband Power Lines would be the cheapest to implement/best option, but the FCC keeps going "ZOMG THINK OF TEH INTARFERENCES!" Ask yourself: "Should I really be saying other people are crazy when my favorite book is the novelization of Episode III?"
  17. That's all well and good, but there's a lot of less urbanized areas in the US that don't have any highspeed connection available too them, and probably won't for at least thirty years unless someone decides to lay down huge wads of cash to do so. I know because I live in one of those areas. If anyone decided to switch to completely digitally distributed content they'd be cutting out a huge portion of their potential buyers. When you factor in that most if not all impulse purchases will be eliminated for anyone selling from only online storefronts, which a lot of videogame sales are, and it's not a very viable distribution method now. Even Valve, who are pretty much the only major dev company offering DD aside from Bioware, still offer retail copies of everything, released on the same days the DD copies are unlocked no less.
  18. I have two 120GB Seagates. I've only filled up 60 on one of them so far. My E-Wang feels small now.
  19. I don't really know. The whole thing reads like poetry, and the only scene that really stuck with me was the death scene, where it was revealed that Dracula wasn't such a bad guy.
  20. No accounting for taste. I like Dracula by Brahm Stoker
  21. Can someone explain why whenever PCGameMods goes down everyone asks what happened to it here? It's not like Obsidian is affiliated with it in any way, it seems a right odd place to ask. I don't think it's that people here are pricks any more than they are any other place on the net, it's just they're tired of seeing three or four "WHERE THE HELL IS PCGAMEMODS?!!111" threads every time it goes down here when this forum has absolutely nothing to do with PCGameMods.
  22. Having been a connesieur of ROMS back in the day, I can say that anything pre-Cube Nintendo-wise is really small. Biggest N64 file I ever saw was 70MB or summat, usually the larger ones were only 64. SNES games were usually 16MB tops. NES were so small you could usually put them on a floppy if you really wanted to. Also, it should be noted that games are often even larger if you consider their fully unpacked state. They compress a lot of the files on the game discs, the only reason the unpacked installs aren't ginormous is most of the meaty bits are left on the disc and read as you play (in the case of PC games).
