    I had the exact same problem, i suggest you go up to the rampart and go out of the castle while you still can. I got out and continued the main quest, nevermind Raedric till the patch...

    errrrrrrr so it's totally random. Looks like the patch will take time before its release since the issue seems to be very consequent/big.

    By the way i got 4 characters all lvl 4 so maybe the enemies are tuff but it's possible. Fortunately my principal character is a tank so it was easier than if he was a wizard. Don't despair, patch will come.

    Some news guys : i managed to get out without cheat. This should work if you're in Raedrick's Hold Sanctuary : there's an access to the roof to the North-West, after a big corridor leading right to the North. Or if you came in here by the kitchen, the access to the roof is right in front of you in a tiny little room where there are 2 safes with armours in them. If the game crashes when you get to the roof i can't do anything for you, but if it doesn't (as it did for me), then just follow the linear path (stairways going down). Then, there's a door which téléports you in the interior court with no loading time so it shouldn't crash i guess. When in the interior court, head South and simply go out of the keep crossing the drawbridge. You're out now, go to the worldmap and get out of this damn hellish bugged keep crap. Hope that helps, let me know.

    No dude, i got the exact same problem but i didn't try to retreat, the thing is i can't go foward. Thinking of this, i don't even tried to go out of the castle... I'm gonna try this i let you know.

    I did the whole keep without leaving so far and game crashes so it's not the cause of the issue.

    Same boat, i guess it's a big boat I was getting really excited to face Raedrick. This bug broke my joy an horrible way, the game began to be epic but it seems it was more like an epic fail... BTW i have an aumaura fighter and i'm gonna try to kill the guy who gives you the key and tell you if this works. I'll be back in black

    Hi there Sorry for the title not very explicit. Let me explain better : i'm in Raedrick's fortress, i just talked to Nedmar who gave me the key to open the door (with a high level lock) to go kill Raedrick. Behind this door there's a very small corridor which leads to a staircase which leads to another map. So it loads the map but as soon as the loading screen is finished, the screen turns black and i still can move my mouse !!? The cursor is sometimes a finger (like when you search a safe in game), sometimes an interdiction (like in game, places you can't go), and sometimes simply the icon which let you know you can move your characters here. Music plays normally. I tried full screen and window : same problem. I guess there's a scene my computer don't wanna play so it stays black. Well fortunately or not i have a save right in front of it. HELP please

    I can explain that one easily. After Windows 98 and XP, Microsoft decided to finally give up supporting 16bit (which was getting very old even by then). To play anything from the 16bit era you're going to have to keep an old installation of 98SE or XP around on the side - or look into emulation. Anyway - Getting off track here. Do you have Steam by any chance? It has a very easy "What is my hardware?" tool that puts it all together in a neat logfil you can copy/paste into a thread and have the youngsters look at and give you a rough estimate of what kind of performance (if it'll run at all) out of it. If you do - It's the "system information" menu under Help, at the top of your Steam window If you don't, you can try a DXDIAG - which is a bit more cryptic to read but still fairly useful. I knew the reason for that 16bit stuff... It brakes my heart, star wars racer and star wars phantom menace have the same problem. Thanks for the information about steam. Well the downloading of the game is at 60-70% now so i'll try directly and i come back to you folks if any problem or just to tell you if everthing is right and to thank you all one last time before i become a nolife.

    Well, your GPU at least, is well below spec. The GeForce 9600 GT listed as the minimum requirement is almost four times as fast as your GeForce 310 in terms of raw computing power (sligtly lower GPU clock speed, significantly lower memory clock and 16 computation cores compared to 64 on the GF9600). Not saying the game won't flat out work, the 310 actually has almost the same technology support as the GF9600 (DX10, OGL3.3), but it might require heavy tweaking, especially if your CPU is near or below the recommended minimum as well. The problem is, as others have stated, there aren't really that many options to tweak currently. We'll see. I just bought it... I used the website systemrequirementslab.com it says my computer was okay to run that game. A little bit higher than the minimum required so i hope it will work. PC games............... Just too complicated :'( Yesterday i tried to reinstall Rayman 2 but the launcher doesn't wanna start because it's a 16bits program you belive that ? The worst part of all this is that generally, PC games are much better than consol games.
