  1. That's cool. I always really liked Norse mythology. I often don't enjoy how it's done in games though. Age of Mythology set too high of a standard I think.
  2. We aren't getting more options for player characters. We are getting new/better godlike heads and portraits. I could see each existing theme getting expanded with maybe like you said, and Earth/Terra theme for nature. Or perhaps a different biome for nature. But adding new types means more writing paths. Which doesn't scale well for the team. So anything new will likely be a companion like Takehu or an NPC.
  3. Baby Driver really cemented Edgar Wright as one of my favorite directors. Before I couldn't tell if it was just my love for Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. But he's done 3 of my favorite movies. Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and now Baby Driver.
  4. The US sells planes to France, It's possibly a joint base. Or a plane in for service. It's also the US colors, I know tricolors aren't so unheard of in the states, and that isn't exactly a perfect French Tricolore.
  5. This is how we beat the terrorists. Judging by the watermark and plane's markings it's how the Syrians and French beat the terrorists. Which is an odd combination. Maybe some Syrian media outlet mocking the whole thing? Or enjoying, yeah I bet that was it.
  6. Yeah, I went through a similar set of thoughts.
  7. The team has said they won't be producing a full map, so that design decisions don't have to be nailed down early on. That way people can grow the world without contradicting what we know. So the best you can get is a loose image in your head where relevant states and nations might be. But the rest is a fog.
  8. This is how we beat the terrorists.
  9. What is the precedence for Dragons taking on human form? I never understood that.
  10. I guess it is a little bit that, but the truth is far simpler. One round of combat, especially at mid level +, in D&D, or other tabletop games, takes a helluva long time if you have a lot of players. I was once in a game with 10 players, no one had problems keeping up with what was going on, but one round of combat took 35 minutes. That is just not a fun experience. When I played D&D the ironic truth is, my preferred game size was the DM, and 5 players. It gave enough characters to cover all the bases, and was a big enough party to make encounter design fun for the DM. Even if you're playing a tabletop scenerio, I'm surprised I haven't heard about any GM software to at least take the pnp part and automate it. I know Original Sin 2 is doing something neat in that regard. But it doesn't even need visuals. Just like a GM/Character sheet update interface, maybe a way for players to keep logs or lore entries. It would make rounds much quicker.
  11. Seems like the people of Eora have a taste for dragon, so slaughtering dragons (or at least drakes) is good business.
  12. I'm very much of the same mind on the inventory matter Wormerine. I enjoy managing an inventory when it's that Deus Ex, Resident Evil, Diablo styled grid. It's especially nice for games where the purpose of the inventory is mostly about what you bring with you, and second to that picking up the crème de la crème on each dungeon run. But in none of those games do you have a party. With more characters means a greater amount of loot to encounter. You don't want do be solving your character builds as you are trying to fit everything in your inventory. It's nice to just collect everything, then sort out the details later.
  13. "Liberals now claim..." I swear... more of the population could use a lesson on predicate logic. Anyone worth a damn on the front line of social commentary ought to hurdle that as the lowest bar. #NotAll____
  14. It's easy to laugh at Alex Jones when you don't take him seriously. But then you remember that there are those that do...
  15. Yeah, I want creatures of the deep as well. Doesn't need to be full lovecraftian or anything, just sort of "here be dragons" but you know... not dragons. One thing I like about dragons though, is that the world is full of wurms and drakes. So Dragons are sort of something that even if you kill them all they will always come back for future generations. Dragons are like the result of a particularly long lasting wurm that has sort of ingested all sorts of power. But killing some "ancient spirit or elemental" sort of puts to end an age. So maybe things like that could be touched upon or subverted.
  16. Who would win? Party of 6 on their first adventure vs Party of 5 on their second adventure?
  17. Could have fooled me. Torchlight is basically a Diablo-1-like. You go deeper and deeper underground. You have a pet that carries items and you can dismiss it to sell or send items to your stash. The deeper you go the longer it's gone. It's also a fighting pet so you'll be without that extra dps/defense for a bit.
  18. I'd also like more major fights that aren't just Dragons. Maybe more "insurmountable bosses" would be nice.
  19. while i'm enjoying.. i feel it being meaningless. might as well just convert those stash to gold coins. just only drop those useful loot, rares or uniques. so that i be happy i'm getting something good . i stashed all the crap loot and go back to merchant and sell them to find out it's really worthless price. so might as well just convert them to gold coins :D Well, sometimes I just can't be bothered to sell stuff. Especially if I don't really care to have the gold to buy stuff. And I don't typically buy my gear. So having to offload a full inventory is just a hassle for me. I'd rather not reach a moment where I'm forced to do so.
  20. I enjoyed the bottomless stash in Pillars, I can't imagine going without it now. At one point I enjoyed inventory management, but no longer.
  21. I would bet big dollars that you have really weird dreams... I don't know, I never remember them, but from what people have told me I have said and done some weird things in my sleep. You've just woken up and you're already pushed the horrors of the night out of mind! May your sanity never wane.
  22. My main worry about the damage animations (or lack thereof) was because that's how it was in PoE1. It's true that it's a very early buile, but I can't just assume that it is something they're going to work on. So if that's how it's really going to be, the health will be exactly like in Dragon Age? What I didn't understand was about the personal inventories. In PoE1, you could everyone's inventory on one screen. Now it appears that it's not the case anymore. Will there be a way to quickly look for a specific item if you don't know who has it? It would be cool of there was a toggle that switched the inventory space below the player's between the stash and the rest of party.
