How did we get to Scandinavian home density, and who the hell cares ?

Are there any mods out there that will allow me to do a complete rebuild ?

I thought it got boring rather quickly. The HUD, genius ?, sure if you say so. You can't really do without interesting characters and Deep Space has none; the hero is your basic 'amnesian' blank slate, one or two humans there who aren't terribly engaging, the rest is more of the same predictable surprise attacks. The boss fights are better than usual though, it's not entirely about finding out the traditional 'one weak spot'.

I just had 'fade to black sex' with an elven transvestite prostitute, which my girl didn't seem to mind in the least. I figure I'm about 2/3 done with the game, but the grind is getting to me and the challenge of combat tactics has worn off. The game lacks a bit in atmosphere and interesting characters. You really ought to have a chance to rebuild the NPCs completely just after they join you. I mean you discover what works through trial and error, why not acknowledge that. Also why not allow mages to unlearn a spell in favor of another one every other level.

I'll be the first to admit I don't understand the science, but sea levels are rising, as observed in several tropical islands. Where is the extra water coming from if not ice ?

Yes I have been looking for the tome to make me arcane warrior or bloodmage for some time now for just that reason, armor. Weapons aren't going to make much of a difference what with my attack rating still so low. What area is the arcane warrior tome/npc in ?

I have been really annoyed that my elf mage, the first char I bothered to finish the intro level with now has a really inneficient skillset. Can someone suggest a strong fun build.

How do you get them to dafault to ranged, and switch to mele once the enemy closes. (for tanks to shoot and draw agro) Also can you have just some of your party hold ground while the rest run in.

I wound up with the necromancy AOE spell, I don't remember it's name. Low damage huge aoe friendly fire is inevitable. trying to get to chain lightning now simply because shooting sith forks out of your hands looks cool, but leveling is slow now and all the steps along the lightening tree are more or less a write off. The walking bomb spells are pretty good though, and the mana siphon from necromancy is a great booster after a fight. Overall I'm overwhelmed, the only party member doing any consistent damage is Mortigan. Started the Redcliff battle 4 times, got wiped out 4 times. Don't have enough mana potions for a prolonged fight. I'm thinking about restarting (again) to get my build right. Unfortunately no cheats that will let me do that.

Well maybe it's time he found a new shtick, probably trying too as well with all the other events he's doing.

I wish there was a way to do over your mage build. If I picked just the lowest level ranged spells from 3 or 4 groups I would be able to spam damage to a single target, then advance a single discipline all the way. The cool down periods are murder.

I played the elf mage origins, and I didn't bother picking any of the mage tower loot up simply because I thought having your possessions robbed or ending up in a dungeon was a common theme. lols. It was actually pretty good. I gave up on my dwarf fighter. Somehow he always ended up with massive injuries and was a level below everyone else from always being dead. When I tried to solo him a bit to catch up with the party XP wise he proved completely useless.

Anyone know what tactical slots are for ?. I noticed that they allowed more target priorities to be put in the AI script, pretty useless. They don't even allow you to queue spells or stills.

So far at least stealth is useless, whenever a stealthed scout moves ahead and sees something even moderately interesting a cut-scene triggers where the whole party wades in like they own the place. This is a particular annoyance NWN2 wasn't free of either. Just because NPCs have lines doesn't mean I have to listen to them. Leave a bloody journal on the corpse or something FFS.

I have to say the animation is quite substandard. Maybe you don't notice that as much when you get a full party and is more zoomed out to see the whole picture. The voice acting is quite laughable at times. I have restarted 3 times so far not clearing the tutorial level with either; The elf city person, the dwarf commoner, and human noble. I think I'll restart again as dwarf noble, as the commoner forced some undesirable skill choices like dual wielding. What does dwarf noble start with, shield skill or two hander ?
