  1. If I ever see a torrent for it or find it in a store, I'll be sure to grab it.
  2. There's certainly a bit of contradiction. If his eyes did glow (which I reckon was real), why was I don't think so, no? I reckon the final five were created by the settlers of Earth. They were Cylon in their artificialness only (not ideology or goals). The mech Cylons discovered some of them somehow and copied their design, giving rise to the 7 Cylon humanoid models.
  3. I liked the Anders/raider scanning scene. Anders's eyes glowed red for a few seconds.
  4. People claim Planescape: Torment sold poorly, as well, yet no sales figures or developer comments ever reflected that. I'll bet Thief 3 sold just fine.
  5. If it's so good, how come I've never heard of it?
  6. Interesting. I have a copy of Thief 2 lying around but haven't got round to playing it. Should I? Is it sort of timeless like SS2?
  7. Since I'm not going to wait a year for this to be released, you can presume how I will acquire it.
  8. In one of the shots he has a cut on his left eye.
  9. Oh, well this could sure be an awesome game. I hope it is released 2009 or later so I have time to save for a new PC.
  10. Hey, don't knock her. Freyja wasn't perhaps the paragon of virtue from a Christian POV, but she was still pretty awesome, and a favourite of worship, along with Odin and Thor (Woden's day -> Wednesday, Thor's day -> Thursday, Freyja's day -> Friday) The other days are: Monday: M
  11. What. What. WHAT. What's the time over in America right now? And the date? Frack, I think I got the wrong day. It comes out on Saturday, Australian time.
  12. You know, each time you changed the word emphasis that sentence read differently. From seductive to intimidating to everything in between.
  13. I miss churchy stuff. Ignoring the religious side of things, it's one of the best reasons humans have to come together and socialise, other than work and study. Of course, it helps if your church group isn't evangelical.
  14. Hmm, you just reminded me of a good Eric Clapton cover of I shot the Sheriff. I pity you. I pity you and anybody who has to work with Vista or Office 2007.
  15. It's a complete myth that closing long threads helps the forums run smoothly. The forum software doesn't store a thread as a whole unit; each post has a unique key and exists independently of a thread, meaning you can make a thread as arbitrarily short or long as you want and it won't speed up or slow down the forum. The only thing that significantly slows down a forum is search, which is why you disable it for guests, impose a time-limit between searches, and don't allow searches for less than 5 characters. However, search efficiency still remains independent of thread lengths. Funny, I was thinking we needed less of you sheep rooters.

  17. Yeah, a bunch of animals survived. Even on Caprica you see some. Can't give you specifics, though. Although I think you see a dog in season 4.
  18. Man you're a morbid bunch, aren't you?
  19. Now now, Visceris. You're hardly one to talk.
  20. Obsolete technology can still prove a powerful market force. See Geforce 2/4 MX and the Infinity Engine. I need sleep. Delirium sets in.
  21. Isn't that the same as a car manufacturer saying "We can only build ten good cars. Every car after that will be bad because our employees are sick of building the same car over and over again"? Don't forget that being a game developer is still a job. It may be menial sometimes, but that's the nature of jobs. The difference is that a car manufacturer doesn't need to rely on his creative muse for good quality in his work. Anyway, I generally agree with what you say. I guess my point is that I completely understand why Obsidian probably won't go for uber open-endedness and I am convinced they'll provide lots of choice and depth regardless of this. To the point that people won't be complaining that AP isn't open-ended enough.
  22. He was really the only logical choice out of all the candidates, so I can't complain.
