  1. Did phantoms always have their class as "Rogue?" I'm getting Sneak Attacked by them and I don't remember seeing that (although I've primarily focused on the beginning of the game).
  2. Better than the 10 will there is a talent only for CC like stun or prone ( body control) and another for mindcontrolling spells. Also I love the ACC talents and cautious attack that gives 10 deflection Well, this is why I think it's probably better to try Solo+PotD without Ironman at first unless you absolute know which unavoidable fights there will be with stuns, paralysis, etc. EDIT" Also, I don't see Mental Fortress or Body Control at level 4. I think they're available at level 6.
  3. if you didn't know, you can level up to 12 and see what talents/spells/skills your class has available at every level. it helps with planning and testing things a lot. http://orcz.com/Pillars_of_Eternity:_Console_Commands for phantom stunluck, i was not stunlocked by 1 phantom with 90 fort priest (70 fort + anti-stun racial). 70 fort came from: 20 base, ~20 might, ~16 con, 9 from leveling up 3 times, 5 from an item. oh and that isn't counting food. i think i would have been ok with less, but i don't know how much less. that'll give you an idea of where you can get fort and how much. Pearlwood chicken looks easy enough to get ingredients for. You went with Aumaua priest, then? How do you like it?
  4. The level 4 talents are great. I've been grinding the beginning so many times trying to find better ways to do things that I didn't realize how good some of the choices are. I'm taking 2 Lore and stocking points up otherwise as I can't advance this particular build's Stealth or Mechanics any more. What do you guys think of the level 4 talent choices? Does the +10 Fort have much effect on Phantom stunlocking?
  5. You can get the blacksmith supplies without anyone seeing you. The "Scavenger" doesn't path up near the box for a few seconds and you can just stealth in and grab it.
  6. Most of us are doing PotD that I'm aware of, but the OP I think has been on Hard and a couple others have chimed in about Hard.
  7. So I was talking with Ceranai about a guy who is smashing content in the game (possibly by Fire Godlike DR bug), and I think it was him in particular that got the figurine nerfed and not solo'ers in general using it. At best, I think most of us were using it to zone out extra enemies and sometimes to provide a flanking bonus/unstunned DPSer. The guy I'm talking about used the animat in the stronghold to block phantoms away from him so he could cast two Fan of Flames scrolls on his barbarian without getting stunlocked.
  8. Thank god. I got POS deflection ring from that last time I tried it. Only cared about the xp. LOL bro, pretty sure I just read somewhere else that they made that combat only in the new patch so you can't prebuff with it!
  9. Remember where it dropped? I went minimum effort in Temple so far, but knowing that is in there is tempting. So did they remove the +5% or whatever it was that we got before or they just didn't give the +10% from the patch and left it at 5%? Anyone who completes this insane, tedious, did I mention insane, (but fun) challenge will have cheesed it up. Exploit is an exploit, no sense calling some "fair". The game was designed around a party. Good luck to all my fellow cheesers out there. Yeah we're probably going to have to go underground with this if we ever actually want to do it or they'll figure out how to nerf everything out of Act 2. The horn nerf is just... wow. it hasnt stopped the perfect party at all, i still have 1000 gold every time i arrive if i wasnt soloing I would do just that. I feel like we need to make a mod that will let us all play together with our min maxed op game breaking soloers They'd find a way to nerf it when they found out we're having fun
  10. When do you kill the warrior in the prologue? Also, can you explain exactly what you're taking advantage of by having these everlasting fights and running around corners? I don't know what you're leveraging here.
  11. You can kill the Moon Godlike BNPC just east of the Temple of Eothas with no reputation hit and no one else in town becomes hostile to you. If you go into the BNPC house in the N-NW part of Gilded Vale you can kill them for a minor reputation hit for each kill. It's pretty inconsistent. Same thing happens when stealing. In either the BNPC house or Ingroed's house (I forget which one), you're attacked if caught stealing, while you can steal from the "Inn Guest" in the 2nd floor of the Black Hound without consequence.
  12. Phantom stuns attack Fortitude; I don't know offhand what defense the Skirmishers' paralyze effect attacks. There's a lone skirmisher at the washed out bridge zone entrance that can stunlock you to death, if someone is close to that could they test?
  13. I fired up a Cipher build and, by Berath's endless cycle, they're the class everyone else wants to be. They can attack every defense possible at least by 3rd level if not at 1st and some/all of the their spells get +5-10 accuracy against non-Deflection defenses! I think Paladins should be able to choose Flames or LoH at 1st level in the same way that Ciphers and Wizards choose spells, and there probably ought to be more ways to alter the effects of both (more casts, extra damage effects a la AoE bomb on LoH for example, etc.).
  14. They have as much as a barbarian or chanter. <.<; Chanters can target several defenses at first level! IDK what to say about barbs. 25ish accuracy still isn't good.
