  1. aren't we all?
  2. IMHO love and passion are OK for a jedi, whatever the council says. only thing is, you need to understand that revange profits man nothing. if i hadn't learned that some years ago there would have been some murders till now. and if i can nearly everyone else can!?
  3. on from 12. this forum will be swept clean of sweeper! 2 days after PC release- date i will be back, though. Mainly because of having played TSL through already and needing a pause befor playing it again
  4. but then i can imagine it is quite hard to implement two different beginings for the game without writing two seperat stories. it is not impossible, though. < <
  5. so you are a history student, Nur? that explains everything! you just forget that the SW universe isn't real and so doesn't really fit. so all we say here is OUR expended universe. you can't persuade anyone, because what is true in your universe can be wrong in ours. (and not all SW stories are really linked together. they are seperate fantasies! what is true in one may not be true in the other!) the SW- plot is just not history-student-and-other-idiots-like-me-prove.
  6. i nearly always used one saber in KOTOR1. but two sabers look quite cool. most of you seem to think two sabers are more efficient. i tried only ones and it was the first time playing through so i can't really say but it seemed to me that the defence is quite bad with two sabers?! they are quite effective against the average enemy but don't hit Malak too good in my opinion. when i confront Malak with a single blade i have 30 on defence and between 20 and 30 on attack!
  7. hm... to play ds sounds interesting. having played NoOR at least 5 times i seem not to be able to play ds! i just can't. go on kick me! (metaphorically) i think i'm gonna give it a try again befor TSL, though.
  8. IMO Bastila IS the main charakter in the game. only she isn't you. and you are not Revan. you choose your path long befor you get to know who you are. revan is just your past and your body. it is not important how strong Revan was. you get strong through what you do! for Bastila is important but she is human and therefor depends on other people: you! and so the future lies in your hands. it does not count if you change it by emploding stars and suchlike or just by beeing at the right place at the right time. if Bastila hadn't been Revan would be dead and if he would not have been Bastila would have fallen. they are strong together. Thats my opinion. and i don't think the Sith'Ari- prophecy is about Revan. 1.) it doesn't really fit. 2.) Yuthara mentioned it when she was explaining the Sith- believs. (most i can imagine is that it was to seduce the player to the dark side)
  9. come to that i don't think the Sith'Ari ever really existed, because if he had there wouldn't be any more jedi to begin with. the sith believ the Sith'Ari will come one day but than they think a lot and most of it turns out to be crap. when play that is.
  10. so how come thehull of the ship wasn't broken? and if it is not broken the blast radiusgets much smaller. simple physical fact. i would explain it if i wouldn't know that anyone d' be interested. however if the hull is not broken it takes the load but has to give it away in an other kind of energy. which gets weeker with distance exponentialy, so two meters can make a big difference. i do not think that Revan was the Sithari but he was not that weak Nur makes him. the y cannot make such powerfull charakters in games as in EU. in games there are rules. in EU there aren't! (very nice game if you or the enemy or both are immortal -> no intresting average battel possible)
  11. Quote:"Blast radius from turbolaser is quite big so explain this little secret: Bastila was fighting with Revan and was maybe 2 meters distant from him so how it happened that perfect Revan was killed and Bastrila didn't get even small scratch? Hell she was perfectly healthy and logic says that she should die as well if she was in the same blast radius as Revan. Soo it seems that hated by so many Bastila is stronger than Revan if he was almost killed and she just drag him, gave him part of her lifeforce and turbolaser didn't affect her in any way. Superwoman? I bet that you will not find good reason for that." if the turbablaster would have penetrated the hull of the ship ALL would have died. it didn't. only thingit did is demaging something that burst out on Revan. 10000 degree (in celsius) hot turbolastered coolingacide for example. witch didn't go as far as Bastila (becouseof hitting revan and NOT gooing right through him because of him beeing more than he seems.) Bastila just was the only jedi to survive the shaking of the floor! besideswho said the jedi would have finished revan? first time i saw this sceen i thought: ByeBye Jedi! - Malak SAVED Bastila when he fired!
  12. All those things that Nur Ab Sal and Azur describe sound really good but blaiming someone not to put it all into a game or film is wrong because at least at the moment you can't! it is to much to explain (problem with the consumer) and come to that to hard to implement or to act .(technical problem)
  13. so why was the "jedi cannot love" - thing invented? to reduce the number of those who want to become Jedi? and why is Bastila not allowed to love Revan than?
  14. no no. Kaftan Barlast is right. stories about freezing 1000 of jedi and exploding stars... a bit of an exegeration if you ask me. besides how do you want to put something like that into a game? you can't compare Revan or Malak to Exar Kun or someone like him. they do not play by the same rules. and if Palpatine was so strong how could he have been so easily destroyed by Vader who himself had been so lightly confinced to return to the light side by Luck?(who again couldn't have been so strong on account of him having troubel with a stormtrooper on a speeder some hours earlier)
  15. i don't know if someone wrote something like that already (and if they have i'm sorry) but a way back it seemed to be a problem how KOTOR2 should know what you did in KOTOR1. i am sure some of you know BG2 and Throne of Baal. ToB knew what you did in BG2. why couldn't Obsidian have used the same technique in TSL? yes i know that BG2 and ToB(beeing just an expansion set) are strictly speeking the same game. but where is the difference? obsidian would only have to pic the last save from KOTOR1 and they would know everything, wouldn't they?
  16. i mixed em up.
  17. aaaaaaaaaaah.......thanks!
  18. Thanks in advence!
  19. ...in english!? i know that there is: sentinel guardian consular i know the consular is the one with the green light- saber. but who has blue an who yellow? problem is i looked it up in the dictionary but both (sentinel and guardian) are translated with the same word!
  20. i don't know. i'm talking about the one with the blue lightsaber at the beginning. he never made a move against Malak on account of him beeinding stunned the hole time.
  21. i must admit i had my problems, too. Only in the last fight with Malak though. and only with an eeem.... however the class with the blue lightsaber at the beginning is called in english. (Malak kept stunning me. with a guardian i had no problems in defeeting Malak; never tried a consular. -the guardian is my character) i played NoOR 5 times at least, so you are not the only one. may the force be with you on this forum!
  22. how very true!
  23. all very nice about that vong-thingy... but i don't raelly see how it fits!? how does Darth Sion come into it all? how do the Sith Lords come into it? i am quit sure there will notbe much of this vong-stuff in KOTOR2.
  24. but what happens if you played KOTOR1 many times in different ways?
  25. so why don't the dark jedi breed like hell then?
