  1. Nooo I need six party-members! Two mages (loves fireballs and ice spells!), one rogue, one chanter, one priest and one tank!
  2. I support this. It is very difficult to see which members are selected, and where they are during battle. Making selected members circle yellow, or make them bold, would also be a good solution I think.
  3. Me too! Cursor frees itself from the primary monitor and I have to alt-tab out and in of the game to get a re-lock. I really think Obsidian and Unity should work on making the game true fullscreen, instead of what we have now.
  4. How about the physical rewards? Will they arrive on thursday too? I think this was the plan but I don't expect to get my stuff until next week earliest since I'm in Norway. At the product page it states "shipping soon" with green fonts.
  5. Hi! I'm playing the Public Beta and I notice there is a distinct difference between BG and PoE. Pausing during combat stops the sound effects in PoE. This kind of makes the action seem to stop. In BG the sound effects, like spell casting, continue for a few seconds. I hope there aren't already an topic for this, I did search couldn't find any. It is late in the development so it probably can't be included but I at least got it off my chest
  6. Yes! I too have a 120hz monitor and it really makes a big difference. Especially if you increase panning speed in bird view RPG or RTS games. Animations and action are easier to follow and more enjoyable. 120hz+120fps also really helps alot with the sample-and-hold smearing of LCD monitors. Don't hold gamers future upgrade ventures back, please support 120hz and 120fps!
  7. But they will reach a limit at 2560x1440 monitors. If you have a higher res monitor, you will see more of the map but it will look very tiny on a 24" 4k display for instance. If PE had even higher resolution assets we could have one more level to use for future "retina" pc displays. http://techreport.com/news/24675/toshiba-new-13-inch-ultrabook-sports-2560x1440-display And they are coming already! Wouldn't this portable be useless for PE at native resolution? You would have to set it at 1920x1080 to play PE and still be able to read the text. Yes PE have a 2560x1440 mode but that mode is for 27" displays. Which is why we need three DPI levels instead of a "high res" and "low res" mode. People really need to get used to the DPI option of OSs and games as we get retina PC displays.
  8. How about refresh rate and fps, will you lock the game engine ticks at 60fps, or allow it to scale to 120Hz? There are alot of people enjoying 120hz monitors, it is easier to see the action, more precise mouse feel and solid look when you pan around the map. Sample-and-hold smearing and RTC artifacts are also improved. Here are some testimonies for your conversion :-D - Wonder in amazement as the 120Hz display produces an easily observable higher fluidity in the animation. techreport.com/articles.x/21516 - The ASUS VG236H was my first exposure to 120Hz refresh displays that aren’t CRTs, and the difference is about as subtle as a dump truck driving through your living room. anandtech.com/show/3842/asus-vg236h-review-our-first-look-at-120hz - Doing precise image editing, as another example, is an area where faster display processing times are desirable. anandtech.com/show/2787 - 120hz lcd Smoother motion and the lack of RTC artifacts leave a highly positive impression, making you unwilling to return to 60Hz. xbitlabs.com/articles/monitors/display/samsung-sm2233rz_5.html - I ran Fraps and found using the display’s 120hz mode that once the framerates were up above 80 there is an amazing solidity and 3d-like quality to the gameplay. Once the framerate hits 100+ – well, the effect has to be experienced to understand it. hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1486357&page=4 - Sorry been playing some Quakelive. Its so nice to be at high refresh in Q3 again. Quakelive is goddamn amazing at 120hz. I’m just going through some games now…Dragon Age looks good too. Even the windows desktop is instantly smoother, even my fiancee could tell the difference in the mouse moving around. hardforum.com:80/showthread.php?t=1466381&page=18 - You’ll also dig the smoothness of running at 120Hz in 2D mode. It’s remarkable how much slicker everything looks and feels compared to conventional 60Hz panels. The future is definitely 120Hz. techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/monitors-and-projectors/monitors/acer-gd245hq-908747/review/page:2 I hope you take into consideration 2560x1440 120hz IPS monitors when you make the game: 120hz.net
  9. Talking about fun, casting three chain lightning at once is only possible with RTwP gameplay. But i think the game should also be slow, like BG so not too many things happen at once. A lot of action, but not too much. Wasn't it like two or three sword swing animations per actual roll in BG?
