Whats that game like anyway? From the review I read it seemed like a Hack n Slash nobrainer. -

Im playing "follow freeman" now and its extremely annoying with those damn, no-good rebels that insist on following you despite a life expectancy of around 30sec. Its like: 1. Gordon orders you to run to location X, what do you do? -Stand paralyzed taking fire for while, then I start to slowly move towards X but thats just for a tease cause I go right back to Gordons position, the most dangerous and unprotected roue if possible. 2. Someone shoots at you, what do you do? -Stand still and take the fire while shooting thin air. 3. A grenade lands dang in the middle of your squad, what do you do? -Pack ourselves tightly round the nade and wait for it to go off, ideally killing all of us. And it seems like theyre often shooting blanks because their shots do no damage,. -

When I got the "Sorry, wont tell you Mefisto's name" I just figured it was all there was too it. There's not too many games out there with an alternative way to beat the end boss. There should, though. -
Kiruna? Damn, that is practicly the northpole! But I havent been here very long so Skellefte

All consoles must die. Or be made 100% PC compatible.

"...because it all takes place in a desert! Neat, huh?" :D But, seriously, for Bethesda to make something Fallout-esque out of Fallout 3 it would take a complete 180degree turn in their approach to CRPGs and thats a little too unlikely for me to believe it'll happen.

Have any of you lived so far up north that you have daylight 24/7 in the summer? Its quite interesting taking an afternoon walk at 3 in the morning. If you look at this webcam over downtown, you might see what it looks like except the pictrue is much darker because of the cam. http://www.norran.se/sektion_c.php?avdelning_1=180

What I really would like was if they put the Bethesda devs up against the wall and asked. - Will Fallout3 be Morrowind with guns? - ..whereupon they would most likely reply : "Why? Whats wrong with Morrowind?"

Do you have to be a Paladin to buy his name or what? I just got "No, sorry I cant give you teh name. End of story" I dont know whats wrong with designers but NONE of the western ones seem to think that this is the least bit important. Overall, a designers idea of a great ending is completely opposite that of the players(helo mistarh chris avellone) I mean, a game without a proper ending is like sex without an orgasm. Interesting but ultimately very unsatisfying. -

SoU isnt even worth mentioning, it was boring and pointless. And how do you explain "immunity to criticals" logicly? I know its just something they put in there to prevent big baddies from snuffing it in a sudden and unfitting fashion, but have they attempted to explain how its supposed to work? Numbersman> You didnt fight Mephisto? How is that possible? -
But how do you trigger the actual thing? Do you just walk up to T3 casually and start a conversation or do you have to have him in your party and walk around with him?

a thread with some info for once? please?

Neg. Steampunk doesnt have to have any fantasy elements whatsoever to be steampunk. In fact, it shouldnt IMO. -

Nay, Im talking about a HUMONGOUS epilouge, epic in proportion and spared of nothing. Sort of how LoTR goes on 300pages after the destruction of the one ring. -
No Im not " When can you be said to be a true StarWars whore? And where does the line go between normal, geek and nerd go? Is it the amount of collected trivia in your head? Is it how much money youve spent on merchandise? Is it how many books, comics and miscaellouns printed items you own? Can it be measured using reliable scientific methods such as phrenology?

What music are you listening to right now?
Kaftan Barlast replied to draakh_kimera's topic in Way Off-Topic
Yes, but the fatal button-pushing had already occured long before that. There could of course have been a second moderator hiding behind the forum to left that took the actual shot. All my previous deleted topics have been followed by a kind PM informing me of when/why/how it was deleted, but this one was just cold-bloodedly removed. This leads me to believe that a third and a forth party was also involved in the assassination. and Im listening to: Sammla Mammas Manna - L -
Doesnt work for me either, it doesnt matter when I go to bed, Im always braindead till about lunchtime if I rise early. The only way I can properly wake up early is if Im going on a holiday, then I can shoot out of bed at 5.30 in the morning and be jumping at it.

I know it premieres at 00.03 Wednesday/Thursday but the theatre "doesnt officially disclose this weeks schedual" until wednesday so I cant book any bloody tickets! But Im not all that excited, Ill try to catch it in the weekend, otherwise Ill see it when I se it..

Im listening to the fading echo of my splendid "The japanese are sick bastards" thread that was mercilessly eradicated without anyone ever bothering to tell me. -
I whipped old Mephisto good and was then not greeted by even a slight scripted cutscene but by a fallout-esque written/narrated end splash-screen sequence that was pretty ok but far from what I had expected. But I still say that you cant go from delivering the coupe de grace on the villain to "..and they lived happily ever after" its just very very unsatisfying. Would it have hurt to have a little breather with your partymembers afterwards? A bit of feast and fireworks? When I write my own CRPG, there will be such a magnificent grand finale that you'll take the rest of the week off just to enjoy the deep, seemingly neverending feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.

That was great. We should make longer strips each that told amazing fantastic stories! I was going to, but then I realised I cant be bothered. ..but if I did one itd be about ..a thing. which leads to another thing that isnt what you think it is but something completely different.

The original is great, sometimes creepy and really has that sweet, late 70's early 80's horror feeling. The new one is just another dime-a-dozen hollywood teen thriller like Jeepers Creepers and crap like that.
