Hardly, just most has either been irrelevent to why I would buy one. Where as you tried to come across as some sort of expert and got smoked repeatedly :"> oopsie and all
-
Maybe because I dont feel I have anything to prove :D Who knows. Lets see, nothing to prove vs being wrong... I'll take nothing to prove thanks.
-
So you admit you got smoked on the blu ray thing now at least Apparently more than you... Still like I said it's moot now I have no further interest in owning a 360. Anyone with common sense should take the same approach and wait until the PS3 is released and then see if MS changes its approach to hardware. If you want to continue to be an MS fanboy, well be my guest.
-
I dont have any though. Where as you obviously do. Your facts have either been wrong or miss quotes. Hardly something to be proud of. It's all moot now since Bill said the 360 is only shipping with a standard DVD. The Xbox is going to be an obsolete machine even before it goes on sale.

Do NOT buy a 360 on release.

Too say I was peeved after reading that would be an understatement. -
"What's most interesting about Gates' comments is that they confirm that the first generation of Xbox 360 is likely to be joined over time by models with additional functionality - specifically, extra features which are designed to improve the system's abilities as a home media centre". "The initial shipments of Xbox 360 will be based on today's DVD format," Gates explained. "We are looking at whether future versions of Xbox 360 will incorporate an additional capability of an HD-DVD player or something else." While the addition of a HD-DVD drive to Xbox 360 would allow future models to play HD movies stored on the format, it seems unlikely that the extra capacity would be available to game developers, since their titles would then not work on first-generation hardware. Unless you fancy being stuck with an Obsolete machine sixth months down the line, or unless MS promise you a free hardware upgrade(s).

Would Mace Windu Have beaten Sidious?
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to jodo kast 5's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No Mace was destined to fail much like Yoda was. -
This arrived last week and since I've been out and about over the weekend I got to play it quite a bit. On the most basic level its an adventure game, but one built around the capabilities of the DS. IE use of the dual screens, the mic , and of course the stylus. The puzzles are nice and logical for the most part. And one twist is that you cant simply pick everything up just because you happen to see it. Rather before you can pick something up it needs to have some sort of purpose. For example, you cant pick up a brush until you find something that needs to be brushed. This avoids the inventory full of useless crap that you get in these sorts of games. It's not a hugely long game, (unless you get stuck) so if your the sort of person who plays the DS at home then it's not going to last long. It's really meant for shorter play windows. The story is intruiging, and another story runs alongside it and at points the two overlap... The basic premise is that a girl is going to visit her father who she thought was dead until recently. Ending up on an island alone (for a time) and having to solve a series of puzzles and mysteries in order to progress. It's a game that would only work on the DS, and as such its a good indicator of the affinity the DS has for "oldschool" adventure games (with a twist and re-thought puzzles).

I'm not so sure it will work alongside the games more serious tone. I suppose it depends on the nature of the comments but "elf needs food badly" and the like seem a tad out of place.
-
Wasnt exactly what I said now was it. You said that it was more representative than the PS3 demos'. Happy twisting though, even if it is totally innefective at this point. What really amusing , to me at least. Is that your attempts at propoganda have made me doubt the 360 is as powerful compared to the PS3 as I first thought. So either your an undercover agent for Sony, or you did a really bad snow job :D
-
When was the last time anyone asked if KOTOR III was in pre-production?
-
You said they were more representative of the final 360 than the PS3's were of the PS3. If I really cared I could go find the quote. But it should be obvious to anyone by now that you only take things out of context to support your arguements and that in iteself is the biggest sign of a weak arguement. Either you didnt have a clue how powerful the E3 kits were , or you flip flop to MS's propaganda. Either way it dosnt make you particularly credible on the matter.

"This is the ultimate aesthetic. The number of SPEs we equip to the Cell and how many we will actually use are two different things. I wanted to adopt the idea of 'redundancy' to the development of semiconductors. Logic LSIs, excluding memory chips, are considered defective and unshippable if just one transistor or line doesn't work. If the Cell's final chip dimension is about 200 square millimeters, making one without any defects is extremely difficult. We can't reach our anticipated production yield with that. Of course, we'll take various measures to lower the defect density, but that won't be enough. But by considering one or two SPEs as a redundancy from the very beginning, we can still use a Cell chip even if it's partially defective," Kutaragi said, who also revealed that a similar scheme would also be used for the PlayStation 3's RSX graphics processor. "An interesting question is what will be done with the Cell chips that only have six working SPEs," continued Kutaragi. "We won't use it for the PS3, of course. Rather, I'm seriously thinking about using two of these chips to create a home server. Home servers have less of a constraint in case size and board dimension when compared to the PS3, and we can make enough space for two Cell chips. That will make it a product with a total of 12 SPEs. This is possible with the Cell since it can use as many SPEs as it needs. And this will bring a use to Cell chips that aren't fit for the PS3." What you really have to ask yourself is why MS suddenly did a Uturn on how powerful the alpha rigs at E3 were in comparison to the final product.. The PS3 complete is estimated at 25% more powerful than the rig used to run the tech demo's at E3. Now you yourself said that the 360's at E3 were representave of the final 360, so it's somewhat strange that MS would suddenly try to claim that the E3 alphas are only 25% representative (which quite frankly smells like a week old fish).

Just an FYI for the UK. Shin Magami Tensei (In the US Nocturne) is released this friday under the name lucifers call. The original title is on the box but most retailers wont know it by that name.
-
Not really a problem if you know from the off it's not your character.
-
More like why the hell would I do that.
-
Yep they do all sorts of stuff. Sell collectables there too. And they usually deliver a day or two ahead of the UK streedate.
-
I gathered that. I was just wondering who had the crpg rights?

It's not true 3d because there is no Z axis. You can however mimic 3d to an extent by overlapping different meshes. In story based games Z axis is probably more trouble than its worth anyway.

Someone should dredge up the old ShadowRun game for the SNES that was brilliant. -

Spams kind of pointless ,we dont even have titles like we did on the old boards. :D -
Like I said I really dont know how this works on the PC. It's not a big deal in a console game really, its just that rather than having save points you can only save at the very start. Once you get the hang of it not a huge deal but its going to take some people by suprise.
