  1. Oh theres been loads of lineage weirdness over the last month. A baby died while it's parents played the game at some sort of cyber cafe A kid died of some sort of fit after playing for a day without a break Someone was killed over a virtual transaction about something called a Dragon Sword. And China has opened a clinic for online addiction where you get fed clear goop and have your nerve endings stimulated by a team of 24 nurses.
  2. It's one of those laws that gets outdated by technology. It even made it onto a BBC holiday program a while ago.
  3. So what's more important to you - the roof over your head or the characters you've created in your favourite MMORPG? For a Mr. Wang of Chongqing, China, it's definitely the latter. He's currently involved in a bitter dispute over ownership of characters and virtual items in Legend of Mir 2 with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Ms. Ye. According to the Chongqing Business Post, Ye and Wang met online whilst playing the game last September and married four weeks later. Over the following months they jointly opened more than ten LoM2 accounts and attained level 40 to 50 status for all of their characters, before deciding to divorce in June. Now the couple are locked in a struggle to decide who should get to keep the accounts and items acquired, said to be worth up to 50,000 yuan - around
  4. I did have then my computer blew up. I'll see if I can track something down but no promises.
  5. ... on a handheld ? I was just looking through some old RPGs (thanks for the link LT) and I was wondering which ones would look good on a GBA/DS/PSP. Eye of the Beholder is definately one I wouldnt mind taking a look at. Especially as I missed the update when it was released for the GBA. Wasteland is another one that I would like to get the handheld treatment.
  6. I like reading through the RPG sections.
  7. Your not supposed to be able to do that anyway it gives things a more organic feel. Well the Exile influences those around him or her so Atton may not even realise what he is. I'd like to see the influence system without a special protagonist just to see how it works. Again those things go back to just how the Exile influences those around him or her. The pic is from Voyager.
  8. Yes, although less so with droids. Not as much as having to play the same character over from level 1 again though. She had just crashed in a pod. Although that dosnt change her level. Btw dont the levels change depending on the level of the PC when you find them?
  9. He appears(or not) depending on how you answer Attons questions at the start. According to board wisdom he's 43 at the time of KOTOR II.
  10. Is that in skirmish mode ?
  11. Can it remember what it's learned?
  12. Until it's on the shelf this is all pointless speculation anyway. This would only be valid if you had to buy the game right now
  13. Reminds me of when I was stuck in traffic. The lights were broken and for 5 minutes a couple of drivers ahead just sat there watching the lights. In the end I had to get out of the car and explain that the lights were not going to change and thats why there was a work crew not five feet away.
  14. Must have been something that happened while I was away. What you need is a good dose of bounce
  15. The makers of project gotham appear to have problems keeping 60fps on the 360. I can't say I'm interested in Rare these days but that could change if they start releasing some worthwhile stuff.
  16. I'm a resolver which isnt completely incorect. I expect you could read what you wanted into the personality types though.
  17. Well before It's closed I want a free working lightsaber with my copy of KOTOR 4.
  18. At best I think you would get one dedicated world,it's more cost/time effective to make less bigger worlds than smaller unique worlds since you can recycle a lot of the art and models. Makes for a good selling point though. If you did do KOTOR in a similiar way to Pokemon then having one dedicated world to each package (along with the unique stuff and a unique NPC or two would be one way to do it). I don't think KOTOR is ever going to compare to FF. FF dosnt have a set world, FF also dosnt have a set rule system. They may share the name Final Fantasy but the games themselves are quite different.
  19. Well just because it works for Pokemon dosnt mean that it would work for KOTOR. Both Pokemon games (green and red) are still in the top 10 so they must be doing something right. It's still possible to turn out two very different games (by rewriting the key scenes) without expending anywhere close to the effort/cost of a new game. The trick is to make them different enough so that people will want both, but at the same time not getting so into it that you push the costs up. Well that just be one in a long line of silly arguements. As long as the cash tills kept ringing who really cares?
  20. Those are lower than the Xbox Japanese market share numbers right now. I really hope Lost Odyssey isnt the most interesting next gen game.
  21. You dont. You sell each version as a seperate game. If it did follow the Pokemon model it would be something like. KOTOR Sith Red KOTOR Jedi Blue Then a couple of years later a new version would be released that combined both games into one bigger game and tossed in some extra features just for good measure.
  22. It's number 3 in the top 10 Gameplay preorders and is supposed to be 164 days to release.
  23. Perhaps, but you make your choice by which game you buy. People tend towards one type or the other although I expect the blue version to outsell the red in this case.
  24. MS's biggest share is in America so Europe probably places just below Japan.
