  1. Hypocrisy triggers me. Please try to be more sensitive in the future.
  2. By the socjus crowd's own definitions it would be rape by deception. But since the "victim" was a male, who obviously can't be a victim due to his privilege and status as an oppressor, the true victim in the situation turns out to be the person whose feelings were hurt, who clearly did no wrong.
  3. Oh that's nice. We've reached the point of the discussion where Obsidian's new target demographic is screaming bigot at everyone who disagrees. By morning we should get to the #killallwhodisagree stage. Don't worry, it'll totally be a joke. Which you should completely ignore... unless they don't like it.
  4. Nothing quiets down a PR nightmare like shutting down discussion of it on the official forums.
  5. Let's be realistic here. We are talking about someone who has repeatedly called for the death of half of the population of the planet, including the subset of the population that he either now belongs to or formerly did. This person is literally crazy. It doesn't require insanity to actually commit genocide, as demonstrated by history. Equating mental problems with violence is very ungood. Please just don't do it. Doubleplus ungood, even.
  6. I guess we'll find out in the next Kickstarter. Twitter has a big user base. I'm sure they'll be willing to open their wallets.

  8. It wasn't. Reality isn't a requirement when you're raging on twitter.
  9. Gee. Thanks. I'll try to avoid making that mistake again. Hope you enjoyed the game!
  10. This is something I don't understand either. This game has no lack of dark content. Yet an optional text on a wall in a relatively obscure area is the only thing that was found to be offensive? You seem to be operating under the assumption that the people complaining about it have actually played the game.
  11. Imo, Obs has the right to add or subtract anything they feel is in their best business interests. The "offending" memorial should have been addressed when it was submitted, not down the road when everyone craps themselves. Catering to a disturbed person on twitter who probably hasn't played the game over the people who actually funded the game is totally in their long term business interests. I wonder what content will be deemed problematic for the next patch.
  12. Why would they want a mod to fix it? Someone created one within hours of the start of this entire drama. Do you think the majority of the people "upset" about this have even played the game? It has nothing to do with a limerick which doesn't even say what they claim it does. It's about exerting control over an industry they have no financial leverage over which forces them to rely on the only power they do have: internet drama. Caving to the demands of the perpetually offended will only encourage them to find more "problematic" content and you will have already demonstrated that you're willing to cave to their demands. There is no upside for Obsidian in removing it.
  13. You could always just not click on it. It has its own icon and everything. I mean you gotta give them something - meet halfway and call it done. Obviously it offends some people so whats the harm in making it optional? To absolutely refuse any kind of compromise is just stubborn IMO. As much as I agree its a non issues, others think it is, so IF something is going to change, it should just be made optional. There - problem solved, everyone should be happy. But by no means - do NOT remove it. Worst thing that could be done at this point. It would just further encourage radicals and anger people who dont like censorship (or what they interpret as censorship) and offend the backers who donated so much money to the project (and were the actual target audience in the first place....) Compromise is good, and perhaps necessary for Obsidian to get themselves out of a bad situation. Why do you have to give them something? You have literal crazy people making demands of you (#killallmen). What does pandering to them gain for you?
