  1. And what about negative relations ? If you have murderer and rapist in your party and you are paladin then he will almost allways disagree with you, and if he will got pissed enough even mayby try to kill you were you are alone or spleeping. Roge when pissed may steal from you, pladin can atact you if he jump to conclusion that you are "evil" etc. In NWN2 at the ending some of your comapniong might even join your nemesis to kill you. And even you can join Archevil agins whole your party i think that this was of biggest reasons i like NWN2... I think that not onle romances and frinships can be done in eternity but also hatred. I liked Alpha protocol desin in influence-system, everywon can love (npcs, enemys, friends etc), like or hate you and ALLWAYS you have some benefits from that Having enemy that likes and respect you (but still is you enemy) or hate you gave you diffrend benefits... What do you think about that ?
  2. Becouse of EA, Dragon Age orgin, dragon age 2 and mass efect 2 was unfinifhed or some kind of a joke (and they had big wased potential). I thing that crowdfunding is a big step for games. If it works and more companies like obsidian apply this idea ... It will by 1 step coser to my dream ...... EA rotting in helll !!!!!!!

  5. that depends on terms when critical may occur yhe system on exp gaining, lets say tat only after 15 hits you will have chance gain critical, and if you fight with this enemy before you will gain only 1/2 of exp from criticals. In this terms when you encounter a RAT an kill him only mayby at first battle you will gain +2 exp (if critical occurs), 2 rat, 3 rat, 1000000 rat will propably give you nothing. When you encounter dragon you have chance (long battle) for even 40 - 100 criticals so this meand 80 to 200 exp (if we count 1 critical as +2 exp), but when you encouter a secound dragon you will have for killikng him 40-100 exp, another 20-50 another 10-25 and after that even afret killing 10 dragons you will get nothing only exp from Quest. In spellforce we have this type of exp gaining 1 goblin gives you lot of exp but secound gives you less exp than first and 100 gives you only small numer of exp point.   6. This whould only work if we have some kind of "fury" or "Savege" god if yes then why no. i mean barbarian/priest multiclass. I can't agree, i think that priest and mage can by done (some king of priest of god of magic) and priest is useing diffrent magic than wizard. Wizard/ sorcerer is ridicilus but not priest/mage. The problem is the amount of spell if we crate BG style priest/mage it will be master in both and be better then pure mage and priest. I think that only possible explonation is 1/2 of priest and 1/2 of wizard of their abilitis and known spells (not spell progression or we end up with nwn weeken multiclassing) If there is god of stealing, sneaking or tricks then this multi is reasonable. A also think tkat multiclassers like warrior/paladin, warrior/barberian or mage/warlok etc is mistake.
  7. Im 100% FOR !! Several days ago i posted in some topic that i whant his kind of EXP gainin in P:E. Haha mayby... just mayby they read my post and jump to same conslusions hahaha (Very happy) Vampire Masquarade Bloodlines is my favorite game, i allways enyoi this exp gaining system it's such more realistic then kill 100 rats system.

  9. As i sad before Living One started his crusade. If theres a romance you can start or not. You like it you starting you not you not starting. SiMPLE And haw do you defind stealing or wasting time when you don't know Haw long they will be creating this game ? WE don't even know haw much time it takes to do some romances, HOW much it takes from "Resouces". Becouse "Romances" are treatet as addons, so they will propobly will add enythig else to do in game and game will be 100% finished and to this 100% will be added romance options.. People al afraid of another "UNfinished" game like Dragon age 2, NWN 2 oficial campain or Dragon age orgins BUT you simly dont understad that P:E is way better for even putting romances then SIMS .... WHY ? Becouse THEY "Obsidian" has no "time" limitations like dragon age 2 had, nobudy will rush obsidian WE are funders and obsidian can even work on this game 10 year if they whan't. No EA will rush them for quick sell on game like they did to unfinished DA:O and DA2. Not romances killd that games funders did. You all are aruing abour resources but you simply have no idea what it is. Haw many quest like "kill wolf" or "Make my some dinner" can you put to the game. I even think that stupid quest like "Go there and bring me" is taking to much resorces from Romances desiners are to focus on quest that has no value and they simply don't have time for romances. Romances are simply an expansion not stech goal, they will be added not as consolation prize to unfinished game.... like this was in NWN2 or DA:O or DA:2 You know what i like in Blizzard ? That they can spend even 3 years on simple expansion but nobady will say that expansion is Unfinished. The potential of P:Eternity is not that they will be some similaris to BG but they have unlimited time and no bady rushes them for quick finishing the game. Don't get my wrong i don't whant another arguing post and please Leaving One don't respond to this. I also don't whant a situation like in NwN2 where we hve unfinished game wiht almosed forced romance with druid stalker. But P:E has almoust unlimited time for adding new resorces so there will be planty of quest and where will propably BE romances becouse adding romances is the same as adding bigger quest. So if anywan will ask me "Do you whant 5000 quests of killing wolfes and rats" or "Do you whant 2500 quest of killing wolfes and some romances" i will go with secoud option and the most funny part that "Resorces" in secound option is lesser but had beter quality. And please don't "Quete" me ...

  11. 4 post at 1 time woow im imprest My meaning was that "When you first play the game there are no such thing as "overpowerd" So at least one thing NWN1 was better then BG, Enemys USED magical shields often. And in NWN ther where spells that allways block some other spells espesialy "Magic missile" almost every magic def spell protected form this spell. Some enemys where even completly resistant to some kinds of demage example "Some spells giving 100% resistans on fire damege for some time". If you played NWN you whould see haw "Slots" system was frustraiting in this game. Somtimes it was imposible for mage to win a battle at frist time and it push you to reload spawning the same like rest spawning. Becouse you encouter enemy of 100% resistence of fire and you only have Fire based demage spells, YOU KNEW the ice demage or tunder damage spell that will affect him but you can't use it becouse you suck only fire damage spell and can't change to other in my opinion this was kind of dump... The "Slots" system only works for priests becouce they take energy from their gods so it's reasonable and they don't base their whole atack on magic, priest magic buffs and heal only in some cases are damage-dealers so it works. But not for mages who is fully concentated on magic and many times damage-dealing magic ...
  12. And why do you assume that romance is not Yes but if we dismiss something and don't keep trying, haw the hell we can learn "Haw do it right". If people where not trying doing things they are not good at i think even BG whould never came out. I'm trying to say, that desiners/writhers have late say 500 days for making a game (this is only example) if we assume that at least 80 day they need to do all romances and they sudenly diecide (NO romances) they could 1. End game faster. 2. Add more stuff 3. focus on quality of exinting stuff. In most cases it's lottery whot they whod chose so we can not have romances but tons of ****i quests. But i see you don't understand 1 thing. Nobady is loseing time in it. You prapobly think that there are only 10 writhers that are working together. NO. They employ Writherst etc to difrent tasks for example, writher of dialogs, writher of quests, wither of romances. If they say (ok no romances) this people working on romances can lose their job or go to difrent tasks, but if they where employed to romances they propably have more expirience in them then in dialogs or quest so adding extra writher who is good at romances but ****i as dialog writher whould propably don't chage much ... on worst..
  13. I respond only becouse i really don't like that sentence a here why : 1. The same thing we can say about Stronghold, new races, new comanions, crafting and enchanting. 2. If it is a waste of time writers, desiners should know better than you don't you think ? 3. If we think of romances like DA:O romances then yes but if we think of them as storyline related (affecting it) or at lest something done well then NO NO NO ! 4. If more time whould be spend on quests or dialoges it have 2 sides we can get more quality and the same size or much more quests, dialoges but low qualiti, Stick has two ends 5. Doing good ramance options is a great oportunity to learn new skills for writhers, if we silmpy put aside everything that we are not good at then haw the hell can we develop ?

Even if I don't like romances putting them in the game is good becouse people who want them will have them and people than don't whan't romances simply can not starting it and they will not have romnace isin't that logical ?   15. I only admit that is nice that they fix this bug nothing more. I Dont knot what 2E system is i played only BG and IceWind Dale 2 (older 2d games). And use them as reference piont. BG milticlass came from a few things The reason of my thinking is : 1. Stat rolling and idea of Stat based classes (when you roll stats you can thake even 16 to every stat) So basicly if you multi class is useing more then 1 stat and you roll them until you get 18, evrywon is overpowerd 2. Exp penalty, Why they but exp penalty if multiclasses are not overpowerd for fun ? 3. Becouse some CLASSES where overpowerd, Fighter-Archers are overpowerd over everywon, melee-fighters can smash melee-hunters and melee-paladins in clouse fight. When mages run of spells they are worthless and clerics where in evry way better then druids. 4. Becouse if you had Fighter/priest fighting the same lvl Fighter or priest he will allways WIN.Mage/Priest can swing spells more longer then even pure mage specialist. etc. Ofcurse this is only my opinion so don't get mad if you disagree.
  16. You still don't understad EVERY game has mana system even BG games, NWN and all other D&D games. Just in there are other explonation for mana system caled "slots" system/ teorie for putting it. The "Slot"-system you don't have actual mana shown (like HP for example) but you have slots, numer of posible slots are progressing in 1 lvl you have less then on 30 lv, also Inteligence stat afects it and you have more "Slots" on 32 int then on 12 int. The slot's system is used only for excusse Rest spawning for mages and nothing more. This "Slots" system theats mages like a sponge used to clean up when the sponge shove into the water it get's full of water, But when you press the sponge gets empty again and you have to put it back into the water. The "slot" sysem is reasonable ONLY when we assume that Mages don't have own power and they must by Charged like battery, so besiacly they stole energy from other resorses "their soul when sleeping " or "from surrauding". I personaly don't like this idea becose i whant to be an independent powerfull unit an not same kinda Energy/mana stealer. Of coure i like the idea that mages can take "some" energy from the environment but the CORE should be their own power. In that case it's reasonable that on 40 lvl mage we say "wow HE is powerfull mage !!" but in "Slots" system the only reasonable coment to 40 lvl mage is "Wow he suck the energy dry so hard im emprest he sucks better then anywon i ever meet WOOOOW ! " (don't get offendet it's only a cheap joke if some is then im sorry )

  18. Only IF : 1. There are no magical shids agins this type of spells 2. You have no resistence to them 3. Your foes are stupid 4. You fight week enemys 5. There are no counter spells 6. Enemy Mages are not useing the system:) 7. There are no "Magic" resistance in game 8. There are no strong enemy's like vampires or dragons 9. You are not beginer. 10. There are no foe's or classes that have abylitis for fighing a mages or counter them. 11. None of other class is overpowerd So you right ELMINSTER has spoken

So that part about equal classes i misunderstood .... then sory But when it comes to spell spawning it all depends on how we understand the concept of magic : 1 option if magic is simply "Doing impossible things" like turning rocks to gold or walking on water, then even limitless fire storm spell is possible. 2 option if why understad magic as a technic knowledge of controling, creating and manipulating energy, matter, or natural and supernatural phenomena then it goes daw to "Haw is he doing it" : a) use of remember or writhen "magical words" if only knowing words of some spell is required than also limitless fire storms can be possible. b) useing power of "will" or mental power power, also it is possible for limitless high level spells but it will take "Some little more time" between spells especially if we assume that he has to concentrate/ focus on them very HARD before he cast this spell. c) if we assume that he is useing some kind of "energy", mana or magical stamina it all goes daw to 3 things: c1) if he is useing only own energy or he uses some energy of his surraudings. c2) if he is progresing in proper management of this energy so spells cost less mana on 20 lvl then on 2 lvl or spell cost the same c3) If his maximum amount of "Magical Stamina" is progressing and getting bigger each lvl or not. We know that in P:E propably all topics in 2 option will be added. So after A + B we get ... limitless magic but quick cold-downs (he must wait some time before he focus again) But after study of topic "C" we assume : In worst case - mage is useing only his own energy, not progress in energy menagment so spells always cost the same and his magic stamina is not progressing. That means that 1 lvl mage and 40 lvl mage can cast the same amount of spells but 40 lvl mage know more of them. In best case - Mage is useing his own energy and energy of his surrandings ( of course it is posibility of only useing surraunding but in this case he will be abe to cast limitless every kind of spell or will be too dependent on the environment and be able ony to cast fire ball when something is burning near him ) is progressing in energy menagment so spells cost less ech level and his max mana is progressing) In this case we Could have mana on let's say 500 points, fire ball spell cost 10 and fire storm cost 200 in this case we will be able to cast 2 fire storms and 10 fire balls or 50 fire balls before we run down of mana. Of course only IF we assume that mana is not Regenerating like stamina does. If it's not regenerating even resting will not restore our mana, only drinking potions or something like will restore it. If we assume that mana IS regenerating then goes another problems. 1. Is mana regeneration fast or slow 2. Is mana regeneration progressing thru leveling up. In bouth cases spells are limitless but you must wait until you "Regenerate" you mana. So we have 2 opions 1. when you run dawn of mana even resting will not resore. To restore it you will need to drink potion or obtain mana from environment 2. You will have limitless magic but you will need to wait before you regenerate your mana.
  20. Especially Hunter/Cleric. All cleric spells, all druid spells and same atack bonus as fighter + stat rolling at the begining (with you could gain even 16 or more to all stats)... yeah realy balanced.
  21. Only if your put 40 lvl mage on the same power level as fighter. Mages should be week before entering 14 lvl (get ass kick from all wariors the same lvl) but mages at 26 lvl shoud kick fighters as. Magic is something common but exclusiv (not everybody can cast spells) this should be hard way for everywon to start of course. But if we put magic and sword (who everybody can swing better or weeker but everybody) at the same lvl and say 40 lvl fighter and 40 lvl mage has the same power, everybody will put magic aside and "Meges" whould extinct...
  22. Then why the hell are they LEARNING magic for many YEARS ? For a fun ? Mages are suposed to live 200 to 400 years (or even more) An for all this years he can't remember Fire ball spell ? He can't cast a simple Fireball when he wants but he can burn dawn whole villige with fire storm spell ? I dont understand that logic. If powerful mage must rest must rest after 3 fire arrows becouse his tired then haw he manage to cast firestorm spell 4 times ? i think that it takes 10000 fire arrows to do the same effect as Firestorm spell .... wheres logic in that ? Fighter can swing sword when he want but if he whant to do pawerfull blow he cant do this every time becouse he must rest he will simply get tired. I undersdand that 1 or even 8 lvl mage don't remember everything or can't swing spell all the time becouse he also get tired (on mystical level) and he don't have big power yet. But 40 lvl mage like Elminster shoud pull fireball in suth dificulty as farting and i don't know anywon who must rest before he farts again.

  24. I thins high lvl mage shoul always be able to cast low lvl spells like fire arrow, fire ball etc but have limits on high level spells like fire storm or meteor or " stop time "etc.
  25. I like your opinion on this topic. I think that is very good and I think that should be done in the project Eternity It would be a huge plus for this game but causes several other problems. 1. Lets say we have 10 classes. So this mean that we need at least 20 different "origins". 2 for each class. Such a large number would reflect on their QUALITY. And I do not want another 20 dalish elf orgin which was considered to be the weakest (in your opinion chantry origin). 2. If multi-classing appears in game. This is how to explain that the wizard who taught for many years suddenly takes warrior class. This can be explained by taking specializations like "War-Mage" but it creates more problems. If we got 10 classes this means that we can have up to 30 different specializations like "assassin","magic thief", "rogue warrior" etc. because each class would like to have at least 3 specializations "Pro-Thief","Pro-Magic","Pro-Fighting" and how do you think we should solve these problems ?
