  1. Man, One of Many is such a cool character. Even if you're playing as a good character (which I am) it's an equally valid option to eat Okku just to have him... them in the party:
  2. Walsingham whipped this up, which made my Christmas Eve. Feel free to sing along:
  3. Walked out of a store at the exact perfect time to see this: SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, by the way. Someone getting out of a parked car coming from the other way gave me a weird look as I had my phone out, to which I wordlessly pointed at the sky behind him. What he exclaimed should probably not be repeated on this board.
  4. Here's what Kylo Ren thought of the Last Jedi:
  5. Sadly I just learned that Warrel Dane, vocalist of former Nevermore, has died of a heart attack last week. RIP
  6. Great shout-out to Randy Quaid in Independence Day, too.
  7. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time (however for my 2017 movies I'd still rank Bladerunner higher, a movie I still had one or two niggles about). There was one scene Laura Dern that made the price of admission and wearing a piece of eyewear worth it, and elicited a collective gasp from the theater.
  8. It will make for some fine entertainment. Polish Trump fanboys are amusing to no end, especially when they spam 'Trump 2020' everywhere. I'm actually beginning to question whether Sharp is actually Polish and not some Russian troll-farm keyboard warrior given how he's somehow oblivious to the "Immigrant Polish Plumber" stereotype that's so prevalent in Europe.
  9. For real 80's deep cuts in the next season of Stranger Things, I want to see Eleven hijacking an SR-71: Oh! Better idea. The Soviets kidnap Eleven, so she has to escape back to the west by stealing a MiG-31 "Firefox" that she can only pilot by thinking in Russian.
  10. Seriously, even people in North America have heard of the "Polish plumber" anti-immigration line.
  11. Tom Wright raised the possibility that Trump, given his complete delegation of authority to Mattis and co., is totally unaware of the going-ons in the DoD regarding the United States' reinforcement of the Baltics and Poland, and would probably object if he did given his speech in Pensacola. Being cognizant of close to three decades of Trump's antics I've been of the belief that Trump would offer those countries on a sacrificial altar in a heartbeat if it meant more oligarch dollars in his pocket.
  12. Lest we forget, the Republicans got caught in the collateral damage of the Watergate scandal, but came back in a huge way less than a decade later. That was because Republicans then were willing to put country and the rule of law above party.
  13. Good to see you again! I still have Steel Division installed. Hit me up on Steam if you're down for some comp-stomps.
  14. Well as long as I can get more Metro: Exodus footage out of it. Mind you I'll likely just watch the Youtube video that'll be uploaded shortly after it's revealed.
  15. Help, depending on where you were, could also be several days away, and that was just someone on a horse sent out just to relay the message. Today in terms of travel time the entire world is smaller than France was three hundred years ago and in terms of communication literally light speed.
  16. A Thanksgiving joke I heard was that the genesis of the F-35 was an F-16 that had a few too many helpings (AESA radar, integrated EOTS pod, DAS, added internal fuel capacity, and the like) and "Uncle Raptor gave a few tips on how to make the most out of the new body (internal weapons bay, stealth coating etc.)"
  17. This guy should be fired immediately for stupidity of the highest order. Perhaps you'd like to get on the Last Train to Nuremberg. In any case the preeminent Alex Wellerstein discusses the issue on CSPAN (insert standard joke about the dryness of CSPAN here). Relevant part starts at 5:20 https://www.c-span.org/video/?437387-4/washington-journal-alex-wellerstein-discusses-presidents-authority-launch-nuclear-weapons&start=133 A subtle bit of black humour I saw in it is Wellerstein's comment that "[T]he president issues an order that has to be authenticated and well-formed, in the format an order is required to be in." I suppose there's some comfort to be found in those words if Trump decided to exceed overkill allowances on Pyongyang the next time they called him a "dotard" given Trump's long slide into incoherence.
  18. Oh trust me, I don't trust them. It's just that I always set my expectations low when it comes to Ubi games. The only redeeming factor I am looking forward to when it comes to Far Cry 5 is some open world shooting and driving. Far Cry 2 had an awful story but my god do I still love that fictional African setting. I could just roam around, look at the scenery and do nothing else. Far Cry 5 looks like the perfect Southern U.S hiking simulator and I haven't played a game with a similar setting. P.S: Far Cry 6 should be set in the barren wastelands of Antarctica...seriously, they had that in mind at some point. Back in January of 2016 a friend of mine fresh from watching The Revenant came up with the idea that that if time period was not a factor (as Far Cry: Primal was what was in the works at the time) then Ubisoft should make one set in the Unorganised Territories in the early 19th Century.
