i was watching a video about US politics and it said that according to studies, the average left leaning person in USA today is so far left that socialists from 10 years ago are seen as right wingers today. meanwhile here in Greece, the average right winger has gone so far right that the conservatives of 10 years ago are seen as communists today.

i lost connection to the internet 2 days ago and i called the isp to ask what was up. they told me that the line seems fine on their end so its probably a problem with the wiring or the router, so i went into troubleshooting mode cutting wires here and there to find where the problem was. in the end i found nothing and thought it was the router, so i called again to ask for a replacement. the second guy i talked to said that it was not a wiring issue but the thunderstorm had caused damage to the lines in my town. 5 hours wasted trying to solve a problem that did not exist and i had to buy 20 euros worth of wires to replace those i cut in search of the problem. i'm hopping for a call now to ask me to rate the service of their customer support so i can give them a very round 0

and even the reverse is true at times. you are a non native english speaker but sometimes you know a word in english and struggle to remember what that word is in your native language. my brother for example (as well as many reporters on tv) have the habit of making literal translations of english idioms or word plays to greek. unless you know the original english phrase and its meaning, what they say sounds like gibberish.

after swearing like a port worker i finally finished Dark Souls 3. my biggest problem with it was the input lag that was not present in the other 2 games. just thinking about how many times i died to an easily avoidable attack because the game decided to ignore my pressing of the dodge button infuriates me to no end. now to decide what i'm gonna play next

my internal conflict between my desire for money and my hate for work has intensified to the point that it makes me feel depressed. if only i could win the lottery so i can maintain my current lifestyle without spending most of my day doing something i hate but i'm not lucky enough for this... after all, if i were lucky i'd have been born in a rich family to begin with.
