Is non-storyline lore important to you?
silvercross replied to Intoxicated_Ant's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Unimportant (to me). BUT, if they must include it, I really hope it's not a gazillion books/tomes and codex stuff. I'd much rather encounter lore. Like say I walk by some random bones, and I get a vision/description of its last moments in some big war. Or maybe there's an abandoned building with graffiti throughout the ages, some from criminals, exiled kings etc. (Maybe some of them are false!) Surprise me.

[Merged] PROTIP: Replace the "Player House" stretch goal with multi-language support
I'm one of those abominable people who don't really care for stronghold-type quests. Always thought it was a gold drain and I hated having to go back to the place to upgrade it (though the parts in BG2 where you acted as a judge was pretty fun). So I wouldn't really mind if the "player house" stretch goal was changed. Honestly, anyone who says it's already "set" hasn't seen enough kickstarters. If enough people demand it, it will change (how do you think digital tiers came about?). That said, I don't care either way for multi-language support (which has generally has come to mean European language support >.>, not that I speak any other language to some fluency other than English).

Beta Access
Wow, I didn't even consider this! Looks like the WL2 beta period's gonna be torture. Not sure if I should just give in...

[Merged] DRM Discussion Thread
I've already pledged for a boxed version, but I'm holding off on the big bucks till I hear more concrete DRM plans. To be honest, I was very surprised to hear they didn't outright say it was DRM free. I thought it was publishers who insisted on DRM? (Though, aren't we technically their publishers now?) I'm OKAY with a disk-check (maybe just during installation? My CD drive is loud), but I absolutely hate anything with online activation/verification or whatever. I collect quite a bit of games too, and I don't like the possibility of being unable to install my game 10-20 years down the line because the server's gone or no longer supported. That's already assuming I even have access to the internet or live in an area with internet. (Hey, you never know what might happen and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has gone through periods without internet access.)

Anybody Else Thinks the Map Looks Familiar?
Lol. I probably spent more time than I should on this.
