  1. https://archive.today/DSJYF These people are ****ing bottom feeders.
  2. Clearly the SJWs have gained control of the media. Those would be your words, not mine. I personally belive journalism has fallen into a state where selling narratives have become the norm. This is a problem, because this kind of practice can lead to - for example - Americans and Russians developing a strong hate for one another because both have been sold bias narratives that dehumanize each other and don't provide the opposite end's side of the story. We need rational and calm journalism, not sensationalism. The SJWs are little more than a group that've found a way to utilize the corruption, though the corruption would exist with or without them.
  3. Its basically just a bunch of early 20 something y/o males whining about "SJW's" under the guise of "fighting for ethics in games journalism". It's a movement insomuch that the 14 year olds on tumblr complaining about how oppressed they are being a frog/leaf/whatever are a movement. Or perhaps it's people being seriously concerned about the fact that major news networks like ABC, the BBC and MSNBC are buying into this narrative when they should either have the expertise to know better or it's a blatant sign they're interested in selling narratives rather than facts, which is a serious problem for journalism. Your entire post amounts to nothing more than an ad hominem, I hope you're aware.
  4. Absolutely mind-numbingly disgusting, not to mention a blatant waste of paper at the end there. (and weird as ****...? What was the point of the last few pages? It screams propaganda...) I'd heard the Common Core conspiracy guys and thought they were crazy. Unbelievable that now I'm gonna have to give them the time of day. Also rather ironic that the website seems to stress fighting Anti-Semitism. Have these people looked at McIntosh's twitter?
  5. So it seems to me this is pretty much done. Not "done" in the sense it's time to wave the flag of victory, but it seems like things will only improve from here. We've hit a point where negative narratives for GG get cut down immediately and the positives about GG are being highlighted. Trending GG news and hashtags are all relevant to corruption and bad journalism, nothing regarding harassment or sexism. Meanwhile, people consider KiA and GamerGhazi the two places to check out to get the two sides of the story, and Ghazi is so toxic it's basically a giant advertisement for GG. To be honest I don't think GG is a movement though. I think GG is a calling to play watch dogs for journalism. It's clear to me the corruption isn't solely within games journalism, but journalism in general. And sadly I don't think this is an issue where you can ever rest. I mean think about it: when is an occassion where you can expect journalism to be free of corruption? Companies will always offer bribes, and journalists will always compete with other journalists, considering options to make their journalism articles more marketable. In that sense this isn't over, this is just the beginning, should GG choose to take it further. Still, it's nice to see things suddenly going very very sour for the anti-GG side. It's also a great excuse to play kick ass Majora's Mask music for the SJWs to reflect that they running out of time. C: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzqAT2qVFRs
  6. Yknow the guys at the Bethesda forums would claim Obsidian is the one with the buggy rep. I don't get it personally, cause my experience with both has been buggy, so I don't see why either community would wanna bring up bug reputation.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm busy lately so don't get to read into news all that much, so instead I nominate myself comic relief of the thread until I not busy anymore. Enjoy your daily meaningless lulz: http://aseasonedplateofmurder.tumblr.com/post/72164228076/cunicular-your-first-time-is-not-supposed-to http://i.imgur.com/VDe6acS.jpg
  8. Of course not. Also, Powerpuff Girls to the rescue again: http://imgur.com/a/z35i8
  9. Wu also made a cameo on tumblrinaction today: http://i.imgur.com/ZssYS2h.png
  10. Just this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B8oel60CUAEKg6j.jpg Basically it's just them using dramatic language for the sake of clickbait. Also in the interest of showing there's harassment (or "harassment" if you will in the case of anonymous tweets) from both sides, someone made a compilation vid:
  11. I know that comic guy. He played poker with Heavy Veapons Guy.
  12. These days whenever I hear "Sega," all that comes to mind is autism and disappointment. Not to say that those thoughts and observations aren't just as entertaining as a video game, though. :D
  13. Nintendo just needs to get with the times. Dunno how many of you are familiar with Nintendo's history, but they used to have a dominant monopoly on video games, to the point where Nintendo had a cut in every video game made. Can't recall the how exactly, but they had claim to something neccesary to make games at the time, so I believe third party titles would end up paying Nintendo significant amounts just to have the damned cartridge made. Fast Forward to now, Nintendo doesn't have that monopoly, but they still act as though they do. Realize Nintendo is actually an age-old trading card company or some crap, and the work done since they started making video games has done tremendous amounts for the company. That said, I would guess they've got a lot of respect for the old policies that set them in motion to begin with, hence why they're so slow to get with the program and acknowledge today rather than planning for yesterday. That said, I really like Nintendo overall, and they always seem to get with the program and pull something magical out of their ass when things get really bad.
  14. Connect the dots. Ask any sociologist and they'll tell you "oh yeah, those goth kids are trying to fit in and they do care about image." I certainly remember that being a thing where the goth/emo kids had the schtick of "labels are for soup cans!!!!1" and preaching against anyone who wanted to call them goth/emo. Then sociology and the teacher is like "yep they trying to stand out and be part of a more unique clique, no question." I think it's no surprise that these SJW-types seem to be found amongst tumblr and with bright colored hair, preaching a doctrine that you need to stop mansplaining them because their gender validates their opinions over yours. These people, plain and simple, have a burning desire to be special and unique. I promise you a lot of them harbor romanticized fantasies of someday being on TV for being a pivotal person in stopping misogyny or -insert discrimination issue here-. FFS, Leigh even admitted to it. So in short, the hair is nothing but a symbol that lets one read into the personality a bit further. This is a personality that wishes to stand out and be unique, and that this personality is prevalent amidst this specific group and movement speaks volumes about where the true interests of the movement lie: within oneself.
  15. Here you go: So after the update, just a bunch of people from that Domestic Women's Violence group acting dumb as hell, not an intentional attack.
  16. In a nutshell, the university had a video game club, and a sort of festival for clubs to introduce and solicit themselves to the community. This guy ran the video game club and had a stand or whatever set up like everyone else, this girl with bright red hair approached him and asked him a bunch of questions about feminism in gaming and about GamerGate. When the Gamergate question came, he said he was pro GG, she said she was anti, and left shortly after. Later, when he wasn't in the club room or whatever, she apparently returned and maced one of the club members, and the mace got in the air filter and had made the room a tad polluted. On one hand actions of an individual do not represent a group. On the other, it's very ironic that there's a narrative of GG being violent, and the first recorded incident of violence from either side is on anti-GG. Sounds like it was all staged. Clearly! Oh and just cause it's all word-of-mouth and not exactly something being cited from a news report, here's another link to some of the evidence suggesting it's not a bogus story: http://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/comments/2u17mr/real_life_macing_event_verified_best_they_can_by/co49jde

  18. For those of you who heard about a guy claiming his college's video game club got attacked with mace by a SJW, the story is appearing to be true: http://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/comments/2u17mr/real_life_macing_event_verified_best_they_can_by/ While it can't be 100% verified, from the extent of what's been shown it seems very likely to be true. Not that any news organizations will likely report on it....
  19. I don't really see it that way, I think it just highlights how retarded these people are. Fun fact: I made sure to use the word retarded in the above statement because then they'll accuse me of being ableist, and the irony will be fan-****ing-tastic.
  20. This is also interesting, a girl (EDIT: dude apparently, lolololl (DUBBLE EDIT: Nvm misinterpreted the line, I dumb and it still girl :c ) who faced harassment for cosplaying as Vivian James: http://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/comments/2tzjih/cosplaying_vivian_james_at_magfest_a_tale_of/

  22. Don't these self-righteous SJWs who are devoid of any prejudices use Rationalwiki? Cause uhm: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Germany
  23. snip Joking, I'll edit it so the thousands of 12 year olds that patrol this forum don't learn naughty words they hear everyday on the schoolbus from the mouths of the 14-year-olds. While rebellion might seem appealing to your inflammatory sensibilities, the forums have rules against what they consider objectionable content. If anyone dislikes said ruling there are a lot of different forums on the internet that have no such rules and if they feel so strongly about it they can go there. As to the claim that moralist are childish; it is children and the vulgar that tend to speak with profanity and not just with the occasional word but as part of their everyday vocabulary. If you can't express yourself with cursing that fault lies not with others but within yourself. I can respect the rules, I'm just voicing my own opinion on it, and I gotta be honest, I personally find swear words are used so commonly in today's society that there's no point in even demonizing them. If you don't wish to use them and consider them words for the stupid or childish, cool, don't use them, but I personally think we've hit a point where censoring language just about anywhere has become pointless. We all know that if one were to simply log onto a multiplayer game of any kind? Swears. The average youtube video? Swears. Any college campus, office-style business (behind closed doors anyways), or high school? Swears. I can respect when someone asks to not see them, doesn't mean I don't challenge the "why" of it though, cause sometimes it just feels so pointless. ;P
