Plate isn't the end all be all of protection. It has gaps and joints that can be exploited, and for certain forms of damage mail is more effective. Though mail is more expensive and heavier.
Of course you could wear a mail hauberk under a breast plate, if you didn't mind burning to death.

In their defense, from the original design and the utter lack of skin i don't think this particular instance of boob-plate was meant for titillation at all but was a result of a genuine misconception as to the requirements of female armor. Many people genuinely don't realize how far off from the body a breast plate sits and how much padding is placed between it and your skin.
I'm liking the designs so far but do hope we see something more exotic/fantastic later.

The breast bulge in that armor seems to be for pure aesthetics rather than titillation. I don't agree with it, but since she's completely covered and everything and the armor is otherwise practical I don't think it's particularly sexualized.
We have absolutely no idea how spell casting works yet so there's not a lot we can do to speculate what sort of armor requirements mages would have. We don't know that spells have somatic components, for example. So how do we know they need their hands free?

And you are entitled to your selfish desires as a consumer, as are they. I don't mean 'selfish' as a negative descriptor in this case, either. We're all selfish in our demands for a consumer product since any feature by necessity results in an opportunity cost that damages the interests of at least one other customer.

Yeah I looked it up after your post and it seems like while they didn't always break, if they were charging at more than a canter they broke more often than they remained intact.

Given the revealed age demographics I hope this means Obsidian isn't afraid to go with as many mature themes as they want. We're pretty much all grown ups here. Which also means "mature" isn't defined by boobs and gore. (Though boobs and gore have their place as well.)

On swords vs. other weapons: Yes, a variety of swords were popular simply because they were useful in such a broad array of situations if you had the proper training. That said, they were also common among the elite simply because they were expensive prestige weapons and humans aren't always rational about such things. And while spears were often used because they were effective in large groups in set piece warfare, a person with a good degree of training could do far more with a spear than sit in a line and poke people.
And on unrealistic weapons and armor: I'll take one exception here, assuming it fits the world building. If a piece of armor or weapon is explicitly designed to be utilized with some form of magic, then it doesn't have to be realistic by our standards. It simply has to be realistic by the setting's standards, such that its form very much fits its function. It's function just has no real world analogy. That doesn't mean giant World of Warcraft/Anime swords necessarily, either. Which I'd prefer were avoided do to personal aesthetic reasons.

Jennifer Hale would be great. I loved her work in Mass Effect.
Too expensive though. Since this is essentially an "Indie" game (as it's not going through a major publisher), I would love to see some unknown Voice Actors... if Obsidian choose to use any, of course.
I find it hard to believe she's that expensive given how prolific she is. And as I understand it pure voice actors are more poorly paid than screen actors in general.

I don't really have any preferance when it comes to god(s), and the only idea I can think off the top of my head, is that there'd roughly be a god per race + some with no defineable race. I'm sure Obsidian can pull off something good regarding gods.
Also shared Gods and alternate, conflicting stories of the same Gods. And cultures regarding some foreign Gods as just being alternate names for their own deities.

A title must represent the themes and the events of the game world contained therein. Given the only major plot hook known thus far: Godhammer citadel, the name of the game is obvious.
I am of course proposing that the game be named 'Saintsplosion'.

Computer/language guys correct me if I'm wrong here; but isn't it fundamentally harder and more expensive to translate a game to a language with an entirely different kind of alphabet? This might be a reason that would be a low priority. I'm also not sure how much this genre has penetrate the East Asian market.
That's being selfish, caricatural and stupid.
We're investors in a private enterprise. We're all being selfish here. Which is why you vote with your money. Obsidian would be foolish to keep the game in English only if they'd make more money from a translation than they'd lose. Which seems likely to be the case with at least the central European language, given the demographics.

From a marketing perspective I'd think that after the listed language Russian would be a priority, since the eastern European market seems rather open to this genre.
Other than that...dutch, at least, seems unnecessary, since as far as I'm aware anyone from Holland is also fairly certain to speak either French, English, or German in addition to their native tongue.

While this is true, you also have to remember that they got stomped.
Well the naked ones were berserk religious fanatics. That wasn't exactly standard. Gallic metal working was extremely advanced and their nobles were often armored like tanks compared to their Roman opponents. It was a very long and nasty series of conflicts ultimately won by Roman organization and efficiency more than raw technological superiority or individual martial prowess.

I agree. Martin Sheen did a wonderful job in Mass Effect. He's a wonderful actor. But there are people just as good that would cost far less. And people that are inferior but are not thousands of dollars less skilled. Not to denigrate Sheen. He's an extremely talented actor and people of his caliber are rare. But there's a ****load of actors and actresses out there, which means there's a decent amount of extraordinarily talented people by virtue of sheer numbers.

Question: why is it that people demand more maturity out of the plotlines (romantic or otherwise) for Project Eternity and in the same breath attack Bioware and its community?
Bioware's community is frightening and immature. Have you seen BSN in the last few years?

I think its safe to say the amount of T&A suggested in the vision document and present in the game itself was at least partially influenced by the need of catering to a publisher. Thats not the case here, right?
Also that design document was presented by Morte and was played for humor.

There's a reason squires were a thing. At least by the time jousts were a big sport the armor was incredibly intricate though.

Pretty sure "ego stroking the player" just meant making them feel significant by responding to their choices. They can outright hate you (though this should be limited a bit in the case of party members, since it strains disbelief that they'd stay with you without a really good reason) and still 'ego stroke' you by viewing you as significant to the story.
And while I understand the complaint about not wanting the PC to be "the center of the world" objecting to him/her being the "center of the story" strikes me as a bit absurd. Of course the PC is the center of the story. That's why it's the PC.
