New/Modern Games You Would Never Touch...
Katphood replied to SonicMage117's topic in Computer and Console
-Overwatch, Agents of Mayhem and anything 'Saturday Morning Cartoon' related. -Rocket League -Stellaris, Crusader Kings... -Fallout 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition Pretty sure I ain't going to touch any of these soon. -
Nier and Nioh are great games and they were released this year, none of which you have finished so far so maybe if you spent your time actually playing them you wouldn't have the time to complain about some random game in the Sales thread?! Quite possibly. Also, !

Last time I heard from GSC Gameworld was when they were trying to port Stalker to the consoles, they even had plans for portable consoles! I think they did announce a MMO Shooter game too at some point but that was about it. Also, did any of you guys enjoy Heroes of Annihilated Empires? Really loved the world and the story but the gameplay was rather clunky if memory serves right.

Damn, should have posted it somewhere else. Maybe there should be a 'Random Video Game Videos' thread. On topic: I decided to give the Megaman Legacy Collection a try since I've never tried Megaman before and holy crap...this game is evil! I thought Super Ghouls & Ghosts was hard but man, Megaman was built for masochists. Guess the only way to beat the game is to memorize the levels completely. To think that people beat this game back in the days without a save function... *mind blown*

So many games and so little time...

No, those are a new type of missile:

The first game was a surprise success back in the days when I was living in Vienna(2007). I remember pre-ordering the limited edition of the game only to find out weeks later that my nvidia 8800 Ultra had a free copy of Stalker bundled with it.
-
It's a fan remake made using the CryEngine.
-
First time I see these guys give a game 5/5. But do watch the review, it explains in detail why the game deserves to be praised so much.

There is a Flash Sale over at Playstation Store and it's crazy!!! Whole lot great game bundles to get for cheap. Sale lasts till 4/17/2017. I only had 7.50 in my wallet but that didn't stop me from buying Maddog Mcree and Wipeout HD Collection.
-
Same here. I'm enjoying the crap out of the game but I can't help but to think that this game got unfair reviews from the critics. Hope Playtonic can make another game like this in the future.

On one hand this looks like a fun game. On the other, not another gundam roguelike. It seems that they are trying to get rid of the negative aspects that are associated with most rogue-like games. Here are some nice previews: 16 minutes of Strafe gameplay with Developer Commentary - Includes Black Canyon gameplay - E3 2016 STRAFE: First 3 Levels of Gameplay + Wolfenstein Mini-Game! Strafe Gameplay - Hands-on Preview

I'm in love with the song on this trailer and I can't find it anywhere(Strafe - Gameplay Trailer 2016). Sooooo awesome!

NieR: Automata OST - Field / Battle Theme (Vocal Version) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA-5d0DkjGA This is how I feel every time I remember this song:

Go for it. I played the same version on my big screen and with a few patches installed it can look as pretty as any of the recent Enhanced Editions. Here is a link to the mods I used. I went for a 1366x768 resolution back then and it ended up looking like this:

I meant one of many. There are obviously other games, Uncharted 2 comes to mind...
-
Word. The soundtrack plays in my head even when I am not playing the game. Haven't been attached to a game OST like this since Max Payne 3.

Apparently, even my AMD Radeon 7770 HD can run Bayonetta at 1080p 60fps. Time to buy that extra gamepad I have been planning to buy for the PC. Also, wow...more ports like this, please?! EDIT: EDIT 2:

China's Xi calls for peaceful resolution of North Korea tensions in call with Trump

And it gets better and better as you progress. I'm 11 hours in and this is possibly the best sequel ever made and GOTY 2017 for many gamers and critics alike. Yooka-Laylee: if you're even remotely interested in titles such as Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Banjoo games, Conkers Bad Fur Day then you owe it to yourself to give this game a try, feels like a breath of fresh air. Also, performance is a rock solid 1080p @30fps on the PS4.
