In the military, you can often return home for awhile if your mother is sick or if someone passes. You agree to put your own life on the line, not your families. My position is this: I think things would have been better if all officers were handing out sandwiches & smiles and did their job regardless of their own situation. But I don't fault those that walked away due to family issues. BTW, on topic, it is worth noting that the US is not even passed the peek of hurricane season.

Frankly, No. Not sure that even got much press here. actually, studies in the US have shown that when you allow citizens to care concealed firearms ( you can in a few states in the US, with a permit) that crime dramatically drops off. BTW, I'm having trouble finding Euro crime rates, but in 2000 the US had "506.1" acts of violent crime per 100,000 people. So, less than .006% of the population expirence violent crime. The city has a large black population. 67.3%. Most people there are black Well not entirely, but the markets didn't crash and we essentially lost the use of a major port and a major city. Mostly. Tho education, if you can't pay, is provided.

Not sure I like Equilibrium in mono. Do animals strive for balance? Not really, it just works out that way. I'd maybe say "Selfishness" or "Curiosity" But I'm not sure if mono is supposed to be an individual or more like nature as a whole.

No question bad things happened because of racial issues. No question. I'm not sold on the "I don't like poor people" issue tho. As far as the cops go, you have to rememeber that these people just lost Houses/freinds/family too. Think of being asked to do your job if you don't know if your mother is alive or even your wife or kids. Not knowing if your house is still there. 2 cops shot themselves and many just walked away. Those that stayed had to face random people shooting at them, and even more people arming themselves to protect themselves from the "bad" people. Not an ideal senerio If the ones that stayed were grumpy or short with people, I can understand that. Remember, it's not like cops are millionares themselves When did I become the evil american?

Volourn Volourn has an attack of 3.4543 * 3 - 4^2 (because it should always take a second or two to figure out what Volourn just said ) Volourn has a defense of 1 (+5 if multiple attackers) Volourn is a "Unpopular Opinion" type card Special immunity to "Flame" based attacks Special powers: One per thread Volourn may play "R00fles!" on any card (mod or otherwise) causing that card to go "Up in Flames". "Up in Flames" causes a card to automatically attack Volourn on it's next turn, but due to complete loss of self control, that card takes double the damage that it inflicts (pre-modifiers). For two "meh" tokens, Volourn may invoke the "Bane of the 'Codex" power. Any card using a quote from a video game based website to bolster it's attack loses it's next turn and takes 10 points of splash damage from "What a mythical myth!" type taunts. If in a Bioware or EA discussion thread, Volourn may play his "UP WITH JE DOWN WITH KOTOR UP WITH JE DOWN WITH KOTOR" power, this cause Volourn to turn into "Fanboi" mode allowing him to play "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee............ " on any player to confuse him for 3 turns (player can't attack or defend). Also, once per thread while in Fanboi mode, Volourn "LONG LIVE DWARVES!" to cause 25 points of damage to any "Elf Lover" card, while recovering 25 point himself.
