Well I managed to get my assignment almost completed before I had to hand it in. Everything was all there, but I screwed up somewhere and my balance sheet was off by a couple million dollars. Now to sleep for the rest of the day and get ready for another late night.

I didn't do much today, but I know what I'll be doing all night. I completely forgot to even start my master budget for my management accounting class and it's due monday at 1pm. Then I have to finish up my group presentation for another class in which my one of my two group members I haven't even been able to contact since getting the assignment. At least my other partner has been pretty helpful

Okay, am I the only one that's had the urge to start over about 20 times so far? Normally I can pick a character and roll with it for the entire game, but there is something about having the ability to create an entire party that makes resisting the temptation that much harder. I'm currently on my third group with an Air Genasi Rogue, Water Genasi Cleric, Fire Genasi Ranger and an Earth Genasi Fighter.

Name blanked out. Seemed just like a small random encounter so I didn't think to much about mentioning the name.

So has anyone else run into yet? It hurts us. Oddly enough, a party of 5th level character can't even scratch the thing. :D

I only just heard about this movie "Twilight" yesterday when I was given two free tickets. Supposedly its some sort of vampire romance story based on a book. Never did go see it, but I do check it out on Rotten Tomatoes and found this topic that for at least the first 25 pages out of 196 is filled with so much 100% pure win and awesome that I just had to share it with you guys. Sparkle sparkle!

Most of the games that I would have recommended have already been mentioned, but I'm surprised that no one has thrown out F-Zero GX yet. I still need to finish up the master class difficulty.

My little brother catches things in games that I miss all the time. It took me forever to train him not to blurt out the answer to something that has me stuck.

Which bug was that? Also, $50 to rest isn't that bad. I just rested somewhere for $150 after using appraise to knock it down from $200.

wait, it has to do with other 'circumstantial/situational things'? oh, i take it all back then. seriously, how hard is it to connect to the internet these days? between unlimited broadband, wireless, and 3G portable modems, it seems hard to imagine 'circumstantial/situational things' that would prevent someone from downloading a simple patch. the only people i can think of who would have trouble connecting are people living in remote cabins in the woods and folk working at NORAD who aren't allowed to access the internet from inside the US Defence Department firewall... Not everyone has access to high speed broadband internet connections. It's really not as common as you'd think once you move just outside of most cities.

Okay, that "game paused" text needs to die. Who's bright idea was that anyway? Did no one notice that it pops up over the ESC menu and obscures a couple options?

Damnit! Between reconfiguring my wireless network, fiddling with my computer and working on a presentation for next week I totally forgot this came out today! I won't be able to get much play time in till tomorrow evening though. Won't be able to pick up the game until after 5pm, then I've got class from 6pm till 10pm and I still need to come up with a couple more ideas for that presentation that I can make my group members choose from during our meeting tomorrow. Damn you real life!

I'd advise leaving Galactic Civilizations till last. That thing sucks up hours almost as badly as Sid Meier's Civilization games.

I got screwed over by my goalie in the NHL 2k9 tournament I was part of today. I out shot my opponent by a count of 16-3, yet I lost the game by a score of 2-1. So not fair. My only goal came while shorthanded on a 5-on-3. I ended up playing a few more matches with the guy who beat me after all the official matches were done. He never got more than 4 shots on net and I never got less than 15 yet the scores in the three games I played against him were 1-0, 1-0 and 0-3 for me. The one game that I won had Steen score a hat trick with two really pretty goals and one that probably shouldn't have happened. The first had him come in down the wing, get in behind the defender and cut to the net, Toskala (both teams were Toronto) went to pokecheck , but Steen did a spin-o-rama and put a backhander in past Toskala. The second was when Steen came in off the same wing and blasted a shot into the far top corner of the net. The other guy accidentally switched to goalie control just before I shot the puck and he didn't know what was going on. The third goal had Steen pick up the puck off a scrambled draw at center ice before splitting the d-men and doing a nice little backhand-forehand deke before roofing it high over the glove.

Bah! I remember watching game seven of that series and being really disappointed when Calgary lost.
