It was so very satisfying watching Liam Neeson beat the crap out of all those other guys in the movie. I know what you mean with the Bond stuff. He actually did some spying! OMG!

As happy as I am that Ottawa is going on this winning streak, the fact remains that my preferred team, Montreal, is stuck in a horrible run lately. Something like 4 wins in their last 14 games. I'm happy to see Ottawa doing well, but I'd still rather Montreal wasn't sucking so much right now. Also: Schneider? Really? That's who Gainey goes out and picks up?

Cory Clouston didn't win his first game as head coach for Ottawa, nor did they win his second, but they've put together 4 straight wins so far since then. 1st game with a new coach doesn't really mean that much.

I went and joined what had to be the most intense (for me) normal level finale in L4D No Mercy. I jumped into a quick match that was just restarting the finale (they all died on normal?!), but I had no idea what difficulty we were on so I just went with the flow. It did seems a little easy now that I think of it. Anyway, we get through to the roof bunker and hole up in the closet (again, on normal. Who needs the closet on normal?). It was all going well until someone decided to throw a pipe bomb, but somehow missed the door and had it land back in the closet. I ended up at 35 health. We beat back the first wave and the first tank, but somewhere along the way one of us died so for the second wave we jumped up on the roof to get some more breathing space. Again, we did well until the tank arrived. I'm not totally sure what happened, but a small horde spawned right before it. I killed the horde while the other two guys held off the tank. One of them got knocked off the roof by the tank and the other was constricted by a smoker just underneath the ladder to the gatling gun, but the tank was busy climbing the roof trying to get me. I ran around the two heating/cooling things on the roof so that he wouldn't be able to send me flying before jumping down, hopping the barbed ware and shooting the smoker in the face before I landed. Again, I'm not sure what happened next because I managed to free the guy from the smoker, but one second he's just standing there and the next he's gone and dead. He said he got knocked off the roof, but I never saw him move and the tank was still above him. So with just myself and the tank left I ran backwards up the ramp to the helipad while shooting the tank in the face with my assault rifle. I got really lucky in that he didn't immediately follow me up the ramp. Instead he went beside the ramp and stopped to throw a rock at me while I keep pumping him full of lead. He throws his rock them pulls himself up onto the walkway and then wastes time trying to throw two rocks at me while I shoot him. Both rocks manage to hit me and take me down to 25 health. Out of the corner of my eye I see a boomer running around and I can hear both a hunter and a smoker somewhere nearby. Finally the tank charges me so I back up over the edge of the helipad and fall into the damaged section. As I drop I manage to kill the tank just as hits the edge of the pad. With one special infected taken care of I hop back up to wait for the helicopter, while wishing I still had a molotov. The helicopter swings in overhead and I turn to jump inside only to see a boomer had snuck up right behind me. I shoot him without thinking and get covered in boomer bile and taken down to 15 health. I can still hear that smoker and the hunter somewhere close by, but now I can also hear the horde coming for my boomer bile marinated corpse as I limp towards the copter. I managed to make it inside just before the horde gets to me and get to see half of them run over the edge as the helicopter flies off. Turns out the hunter was right below the helicopter. All in all, my hands were shaking from the adrenaline rush, yeah it was only on normal, but it was still probably one of my favourite getaways ever.

That's pretty much what I did. I scavenged for anything I could sell for the first three levels or so and bought enough power nodes to fully upgrade the plasma cutter by level 3. Then I didn't know what to spend all my money on and kinda lost some of that motivation to horde everything I came across.

Funny thing, at the beginning of the game you do get only the ammo for the guns you have, but by the end it is completely random. Yup. That was starting to happen to me around level 4. By level 5 I actually had to start buying some ammo for the plasma cutter because I wasn't getting enough drops. I stopped picking up all the ammo for weapons I didn't have except the stuff for the line cutter (I think) which sold for $1000 per piece.

Tell me you didn't stop watching after it was 2-0.

I just got an e-mail a couple hours ago telling me that my Audiosurf high score in "Eiffel 65 - I DJ with the Fire" was beaten. Someone came along and demolished my Mono Pro score by almost 50k points. My 118,000 points was probably pretty close to the limit for Mono Pro so unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting that one back.

I also tend to have the highest friendly fire stat in our games. What's one more incident...

D_N, Pop and I had a game of Left 4 Dead going earlier. D_N was taken down by a huge mob of zombies during the finale leaving the three Pop, myself and another guy alive. We managed to last till the helicopter easily although the third guy was a little low on health. Right after the second tank I made a break for the helipad and covered the other two as they came running. The third guy got pounced by a hunter, but I managed to shoot the hunter off before it did too much damage. Pop went straight for the copter as third guy got boomered. I shouted for him to just run to the copter. Just as he ran past me, I get caught by a smoker and those two jerks just sat there in the copter and let me die. It would have taken all of two seconds for one of them to jump out and shoot the smoker in the head before it incapped me, but noooooo... Bastards... Wish I got a picture of it...

Multiple Choice = Professor/TA doesn't want to spend the time necessary to read and grade responses. Multiple choice in this case = he gave the class a choice of format for the test and that is what people went for.

I've been splitting my afternoon between data entry and studying for my Intro to Information Systems test this evening. I dunno what to think of this test. It's worth 40% of my mark so it's obviously very important, but at the same time, it's somehow ended up being composed of 80 multiple choice questions. What kind of a test for 40% of my mark is that? It just seems like a test that is worth that much really shouldn't be just multiple choice. I really need to get cracking on the data entry. I've only completed about half of the records for this week that I said I would get done and I've got a status report due tomorrow afternoon.

4-1 at the end of the 1st period? EDIT: And now it's 6-1 at the end of the second. Another SHG against? WTF Montreal, WTF?! 3 SHGA in the last two games. And damnit, why the hell is Price still in net? He's been giving up way too many goals lately. Give him some time off and put Halak back in.

So they managed to get MS to allow them to release it free on the 360. Good for them.

Take that Calax! 7 friendly fire, but only one of them was on purpose! Karma kept screaming so I kept shooting him in the foot. I warned him, but he kept doing it.

Gah! My save in EO2 is on the 16th floor. My party doesn't have anyone that has any debuff abilities so I just keep getting hammered by the witch and her bodyguard. Grinding levels to get past her is so boring. At least with the FOEs I can usually avoid them and keep going.

Is the PS3 doing so badly in sales? Not really. IIRC it's "only" got 20 million to the 360's 28 million or so.

I've discovered that while my current computer desk/chair combo allows me to play games for hours and hours with no discomfort, typing is another matter entirely. My chair is too low for this desk and after only an hour or two it starts getting really uncomfortable. Not a good thing to have happen when you have hours of data entry work to get through.
