  1. I use Firefox. Don't use Adblock as I never get ads without it, so why add it in? I just set Firefox to block pop-ups itself.

Buffalo coach is foaming at the mouth over that hit by Tucker. I couldn't help but laugh at him on TSN. " And while we're on the topic of suspending players... Suspend the atlanta team! Those bums are trying to eliminate what's left of my senators. Even without Daniel Alfredsson Zdeno Chara, Wade Redden and Chris Phillips, Mike Fisher, Martin Havlat and Dominik Hasek we still beat them after they gave Tyler Arnason a concussion with an elbow to the head from Garnet Exelby. <_<
  3. Asking a politician to keep his promises is like asking Luke Skywalker to stop whining. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe so, but one would hope that he would wait more than a couple days before doing a 180. Besides, when your promises are all about ethics I would hope that you have some yourself...
  4. Why? His corruption has not yet been proven, contrary to the liberals. Or would you rather have the PQ in power? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because he has already ignored most of what he said he wouldn't do during the election. He wants an elected senate so he appointed a friend to the senate. He is against unelected ministers so he appointed the above person to his cabinet. He raised hell over Belinda Stronach crossing the floor so he did the same thing with David Emerson. That's all I can recall off the top of my head but there are other things that I'm sure I could come up with. <_<

Go bet against the Leafs. Once you put down your life savings on them not making the playoffs they will make it in. "
  6. I think you are forgetting that the IE games are part of the last decade. <_<

So who do you think is going to be traded? " Huet is doing amazing right now. He's only one shutout behind Kipper right now. Huet has a 200 some minute shutout streak going against Boston and we've got another game against Boston coming up.

Wait a moment... Your McDonalds closes? We have one here in town that isn't open 24 hours a day and that's because it's in a mall that closes so everything inside has to close. Was at a McDonalds a couple days ago at around 11pm since it was one of the few places still open. There were 6 people still working there and about a dozen people in line. 5 minutes later and no one had gotten any food, nor had they taken any orders, we left to find some place that was actually serving the people inside and not just the drive through. <_<

1 out of every 5 games that Huet has played in this year have been shutouts. Kipper is only 1 out of every 8.

Hah! Huet has his 6th shutout on the season! He's moving on up. Only goalie besides Kipper that has more than 5 shutouts this season. "

Playoffs don't count? Bah! Shows what I know. <_< Like I said though, it's possible that he could catch Jagr. Thorton is insane with all those Assists.
  16. You can mess with individual planets, but not nearly as much as I would like. That's a loaded question <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. Some people will absolutely love the game. Others will find things about it that they hate. The good things though, is that if you stir up enough people on the Stardock forum (with intelligent, well thought out posts) then you have a pretty good chance of getting the developers to tweak the game in a future patch.

Now that I've read that sentence over again, I feel like an idiot. I misinterpreted what was written. :"> Ovechkin is only 5 goals behind Jagr. It's is possible that Ovechkin will catch Jagr although it depends on whether or not Jagr has anymore games like the one against the Flyers, or if he goes on a slump like he did earlier. Only time will tell. On Lundqvist though, he does have a chance at pulling into the lead in GAA and S% and if he does I think he probably should be given the Calder. A strong showing in the playoffs would only add more in his favour when Ovechkin's season has ended. Lundqvist still has to pass Huet and Hasek in save percentage and Hasek in GAA.

Hey Volourn, when you responded to the leading the leage in the goals catagory, did you just gloss over the "as a rookie" part of that sentence, or were you intentionally ignoring that?
  19. The economy is confusing. It doesn't tell you anything about how it works and therefore takes a lot of experimentation in order to figure out how things work. I also dislike the global sliders for spending. You have a total spending slider which is how much of your total capacity you will use. That money is then further divided into the three catagories of military, social and research. These settings are on a global scale so they affect every planet in your empire whether you want them to or not. The AI is awesome, depending on the level that you play at, it will through some curveballs at you. I've seen it convince other opponents to attack you as sacrificial lambs to weaken your military while they circle around your empire to swoop in and take out your weaken military. It's not so much that things have been dumbed down, because things are still quite complex, but the problem is that nothing is really explained. Some things are definately simplified, although in certain situations like with the economy, it's been too simplified and doesn't give you enough control over your empire. They tried to remove as much micromanagement from the game as they could, but I feel it's come back to bite them as it doesn't give you the level of control I personally would like. Part of the simplification has been in part due to the AI which can out micro and human with it's spending sliders.
  20. Oh, this game is obviously so much better than Civ 4. No this opinion has nothing to do with me winning a T-shirt. " Seriously though, considering the game is $20 cheaper than Civ 4 it is a great deal. The only thing I don't really like about the game is the economy system which makes no sense to me, although some people seem to have figured it out.

If you guys take 6th from Colorado and Calgary stays in third we could have a Battle of Alberta in the first round of the playoffs.
