As long as the pathfinding for your AI companions is good then it's fine. Anything beyond that and you get into the worse they are the more fallout-like it will be. Whats that over there? Oh it's a bunch of super mutants! I'm going to go punch him! *gets a rocket in the face* OR Don't worry! I'll take care of that rat for you! *full bursts with the minigun at a rat on the other side of the player. Player does a horrible death and the rat lives.* "

Making my way up the coast again. The rollermine is still with me. It keeps shocking my buggy every few seconds which throws off my steering. It works well as a distraction against antlions, but Combine soldiers don't seem to want to shoot at it. My allies on the other hand seem only too happy to shoot my poor rollermine.

It only plays in selected theaters here(ONE!!!). Do you know if it will get a wider release soon? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's already moved to a wider release. It was released in Toronto earlier in the month and moved into a wider release on the 19th. We only have one theatre here and it's not showing it. At least you have one theatre that is.

I wish I could ride my bike. -10C is just a little cold to ride at the moment. Not so bad by itself, but once you get moving that windchill can get pretty nasty.

Until this past year I haven't really been much for physical activity. I received an awesome new bike as a gift just before the school year started so I took to riding that to school in the mornings rather than hitching a ride or taking the bus. Until it got too cold to ride I was riding about 6km/day from home to school and back again along with anywhere else I decided to go. I love skiing, or rather I love downhill skiing, but seeing as I'm the only one in the family who enjoys the activity it may not surprise you to learn that I don't get out nearly as often as I would like to. I hope to be able to pick up some skis at some point this year. My own skis combined with my soon to be acquired G2 Class Driver's License (Hurray for being able to drive without a fully licensed driver in the car!) means that I'll likely be able to get out more often by the time that next winter rolls around.

:D I'm glad someone else decided to try that too. That thing is a killer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I discovered that it can kill headcrabs. Dropped it in the mine before I jumped down and watched it roll over all the little headcrabs. Also it works quite nicely when fired at fast zombies. It was such a pain to keep it with me though. On the section with the basket that you rid across to the church I had run back down to the streets to pick up the ball half a dozen times because it kept rolling off the edge in search of my zombies.

He made such a silly comparison, because he is pixies. Do you really need any more of an explanation than that?

That was pretty lame, even for you Meta.

Before the procedures her body was developing but her mind wasn't. They are just preventing the body from developing any more than it already has.

Not worth it. The player allows for pictures to be uploaded, but the screen size is so small that it just isn't worth the time and effort. Also the player doesn't allow for movie playback. "

I'm totally there! *runs out to buy this game*

Unless the Leafs are playing Montreal. <_<

I've only got about 3.27GB worth of MP3's on my computer. I'm sure I've got some stuff on CD that I could transfer over but that 3GB is the stuff that is listened to most often. On the MP3 player front, I have a 6GB iRiver H10 that I bought last Christmas. Works quite well for what I use it for. Physical size is almost perfect for me at just a little smaller than my wallet. Eventually I'll probably have to upgrade to something with more space, but I don't think that will be for a few years, especially at the rate that I collect music.

I killed almost all of them from the gangway above, but then when you go to cross the wire fence, I think that's the spawn trigger, there ... I have stood on the other side of the fence and unloaded all my weapons and they were still coming, so yeah, I'd agree. Though by the time you've made it to the other side of the fence there is no reason to stick around, lest one of the little buggers sneaks through the fence and Gordon's perimeter of fire to bite him on the bum. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did some testing just now. I only had the fast headcrabs spawn from one location for me and that was right about where the targeting cursor is here: Didn't last forever. I had the rollermine with me which distracted them a little. I sat at the top of the catwalk by the fence and whacked them with the crowbar everytime they tried to jump at me. The next picture shows the collection of headcrab corpses that I left behind. The second picture was taken after the constant stream of them stopped coming at me. After that happened I walked down the stairs and wandered around the area for a little bit. I was only attacked by one headcrab at this point. It was a poison one that was hiding behind some tanks. Didn't notice it until after it had jumped at me. Thankfully nothing else showed up at that moment. Maybe the unlimited spawn depends on the difficulty level? I was only playing through on easy.

Look, over there! :D (Hint: savings accumulate small amounts into large amounts.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What? Where?! (Hint: savings require a positive cash flow.)

Wow. 4 guys in the penalty box for Edmonton at the same time. And listen to those boos...

The last terror mission I tried I moved my first soldier to the top of the ramp and before he could do anything there was a grenade inside my ship. That was a horrible, horrible mission.

I haven't beaten the first x-com yet. I can't stand the night missions. I always lose fairly early because the terror missions always seem to occur just as night hits.

I just thought of something. Calgary made it to the finals in '04 while Edmonton made it to the finals in '06. With the way that Vancouver has been playing lately, do you think that they will make it this year? That would make it three consecutive season in which the West was won by a Northwest division team, the third consecutive Canadian team that won the West and all three appearing in alphabetical order. Maybe I'm just looking way too much into this...

Damnit! Where did that idiot go?!

Can't say that I've noticed any areas with crazy spawning bad guys. It's possible that I haven't hit them yet, or maybe it's just that I never stick around long enough to find out. I just finished trekking up the coast. There is something about popping antlions with the shotgun from the safety of a thumper that is just immensely satisfying. Especially after they kept flipping my buggy.

If I had $1000 just lying around... <_<

Are you sure they endlessly respawn? I could have sworn I killed them all. I know there are a lot of them, but I had a lot of pistol ammo I was never going to use on anything else. I sat up on one of the support beams in the vertical shafts and just took potshots at them as they wandered into areas of light. Those fast zombies always seem to appear right behind me. No matter which way I face they somehow always manage to come up behind me, except during one area later in Ravenholm.

Looks like both of our teams managed to pull off 4-1 wins.
