How are they sadists? Maybe it's just me but those shouldn't all be difficult games, even for Toronto.

So how is it? I think I ended up spending nearly 5 hours on it between the two campaign missions and another hour on a skirmish that I just lost. I tried to take on two Cybran destroyers with just my commander. It didn't go so well. I got half way towards them before realizing that 4000 of his 10000 health was gone and that he didn't have enough to kill them. I turned him around and ran him back underneath my shield. I managed to get him back there with about 1000 health left, but then went off to play with my support commander (I can build strategic nuke silos in 20 minutes with him instead of 80 minutes like my engineers? Huzzah!) The destroyers overloaded my shield generator so it went offline temporarily and by the time I got the "Commander under attack!" message he'd died. I can't wait to see what the meltdown explosion looks like on a computer that can actually render it at more than a frame per second.

What's your specs and where did you DL it from? Gamespots DL is piss poor I'm right around the minimum specs so it's not as though my trouble running the game is unexpected, but one can always hope. :confused: I managed to get in line at Fileplanet when it was first put up around 12:30 EST today. I managed to get in when the line was only 5 minutes long. Got great speeds. I usually figure that even with the usual 30 minute wait at Fileplanet, the speeds I get from them more than make up for it in the long run. EDIT: If you really wanted to know my specs:

My only complaint was that the command bar along the bottom was huge. It takes up nearly a third of the screen and when your mouse hovers over a unit, another pop-up bar appears that gives information on the unit, but also takes up even more of the limited screen space. I suppose that it might just be me trying to play at 1024, but I could really go for a smaller bar. :confused:

Scorched 3D is a lot of fun. I played it religiously for nearly a month, but then stopped once the server that I played on went away. :'( I'm currently playing the Supreme Commander Demo! It would be a lot more fun if I could actually run it properly. The first mission nearly killed my system, especially the big explosion at the end. I'll definately be buying the game, but I don't think I'll be playing it until I get a new computer.

Am I the only one who thought this was going to be about how the kidnapper was stopped by some guy with a gun? :sad:

Most of the good ones are $40-45 here in Canada. Mario Kart for one is still $45. I got lucky when my brother got a DS a year ago as a gift. He got the red DS with the Mario Kart bundle for about $10 more than the DS by itself.

It was Maxim Lapierre on the faceoff and there was no spear. He put his shoulder into Crosby and Crosby dropped faster than the puck did. He was up 2 seconds so that he could swear at Lapierre all the way to the bunch. <_< Cherry didn't say that spearing was perfectly normal, he was saying all the people who instantly called it a spear because they could see the end of Lapierre's stick are idiots, because no one holds the stick at the very top on a face off. Souray was the one who got ejected from the game in the second based on a bad call by the refs. Supposedly you can be given the 2, 5, 10 and the game if the other guy turtles, but Armstrong still got a few punches in so he should have gotten his own 5 for fighting.

Crosby got knocked down off the opening faceoff on Thursday against Montreal. You'd think he'd been shot with how fast he dropped. You actually watch Coach's Corner with the NHL clips here. Emery just got an assist on the Sens second goal. Corvo sent Comrie in on a breakaway with a pass from deep in the Sens zone.

I like Conroy though. :sad: Can I still hope for him to get a point or two? Sens just scored and almost got a second about 5 seconds after the first.

My little brother forced me to watch the english dub of District 13 because he can't read fast enough to follow the subtitles. I can't recall ever hearing such a bad dub before.
